Hey guys maybe some budy can help, I can go into recovery and wipe data, cache etc.. but for some reason I can't run any rom that runs with sence they all get stuck at boot screen, the phone freezes,.. but I can intall miui through fastboot and everything runs ok, rom boots it doesn't get stuch what's happening, by the way I unrooted the phone the HTC way so I'm on 1.5..
You need to reinstall a different kernel through fastboot usb. If miui works then a sense rom won't until you flash compatible kernel.

Similar problem being stuck in boot screen
I am on twrp shooter 2.0 with hboot 1.5 and I was running syncombelite when I tried to in stall the CM9 Alpha build and I was not having luck with loading the rom through recovery so I tried to use Flash image GUI. It loaded the image but after it was done it would not boot. I was stuck on the HTC boot screen. I tried to do a nandroid recovery and the same thing over and over. I figured maybe try a different rom so I tried a couple.. I used one and it actually made it past the boot screen and loaded the Beats audio logo then was stuck there for maybe 30 minutes before I tried a reboot and the same thing. Then I though I wll do a superwipe so I downloaded the synergy superwipe along with the
fresh-evo-3d-4.2.0 then it made it past the HTC boot and just went black for another 30 minutes. Now I am at a loss. Please help me...
Dale if your reading this I am the guy you helped a while back with the Toshiba thrive..maybe a month ago then I made a generous donation. I am happy to pay someone for their time. Please help..I need my phone. Thanks all.

The recovery you use shouldn't matter. I have used CWM touch and non and TWRP all the same as long as it works for you. The easy way to flash CM9 is to use FlashImageGUI.apk before you wipe your current rom. Do not wipe ROM before using FlashGUI as it needs a OS to run on.
First flash recovery, whichever you want. If you don't already have one.
Put CM9 on sd
Flash boot.img from CM9.zip with Flash...GUI.apk (browse to CW9 on sd card)
Boot recovery, Flash rom from there.
(Flash..GUI should ask if you want to boot recovery after flash)
I used TWRP to flash CM9 tonight so I know it works 100%
I have tried that and I get stuck at HTC boot screen. I'm at a loss. I finally got virus eternity to flash using fastboot on my pc. I then tried ics (yes I know that's not what we were talking about) but I can't flash many different Roms lately. It's just weird. I have been rooting and flashing for a couple years now but I'm feeling more noobish lately than ever.

i use a program called boot manager pro and it actually works... its for flashaholics... but the full build that i download works... i do have a prob booting into it at first.. it will hang at the HTC screen... but i pull the battery out and reboot and it goes right to the cyanogenmod boot up wondow and boots up... make sure you install the gapps before hand otherwise youll have a pain in the butt time trying to work around it but its do-able ......pm me if you need help ill be up for a bit....
My wife comes home today and says her phone keeps rebooting and it is very hot. I pulled the battery and lt the phone cool down. I tried to boot into recovery(I'm rooted and 1.400) It wouldn't boot into recovery. I can get it into bootloader but that is as far as it will go. I tried to load the recovery from a PCIMGxx.zip file and it says it loads but then won't boot into recovery, it just starts the bootloop again.
Is the processor damaged from the over heating? Or something else?
Find a ruu and try to run it off the computer

Did that. It got rid of Revolutionary but still S-Off. Won't boot though.

Try a different sd card or try this

I have tried 2 different cards. I don't know why the page you linked to will help.
My issue happened for different reasons, but ended up possibly the same. I was stuck at boot loop with HTC splash screen. Only thing I got to work was following Unknownforce's downgrade method. Bricking is the hard part, but didn't take to long. Hope you find a way. If it was never rooted or anything, and you don't want to least with that, it only took 2 days to get a replacement a couple weeks ago. That was for other reasons.
I would've posted a link but I'm on my phone.
Also do not brick until you go s-on. If you try while s-off it will be true brick.
Try pushing a recovery using adb on your computer. I suggest 4ext (see my signature) or the latest TWRP. This should hopefully stop the bootloop so that you can flash a new ROM and hopefully figure out the hot phone issue.
P.S. The hot phone issue sounds kind of like a runaway app that was pushing the CPU hard.

try other recovery
I bought a phone from eBay. It was stuck in a boot loop. Wasn't unlocked. Guy couldn't figure it out. After a lot of work last night I was able to unlock the boot loader from hboot and somehow get amon ra 3.0.6 recovery on it. I then proceeded to flash business sense ROM. After it flashed it took me back to boot loader and flashed the kernel and it booted and worked perfect all night. This morning I rebooted the phone and now its back to being stuck at the boot animation and countless boot loop. I have tried wiping reflashing you name it. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this thing? Can I actually s off it directly from hboot? I feel like s off would solve my issue as this is by far not my first modded phone I just bought it for a very good deal and would love to use it. I mean it was working perfect and now nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Turns out it was a boot IMG issue. Now the new prob is every Rom I flash my WiFi errors out and never turns on. Anyone have a suggested boot IMG they prefer?

for the wifi to work you need a wifi patch from the dev who made the rom. Also each rom has its own boot img you cant use one for multiple roms.:good: a very good sense 4 rom is viper rez i have had no problems or bugs with it and my rezound is highly modded its not laggy at all either!
and......WIFI WORKS!

I agree, flash a current RUU, reroot, and test with a stable ROM like one from scott or newt.
My thunderbolt got stuck in boot loop about a week later after flashing Liquid ICS MR3V1. If I attempt to reboot the phone numerous times it will eventually boot up and work fine. The phone will not allow me to get into recovery - it will just go into boot loop once recovery is selected. I did manage to get the phone to go into recovery one time and I wiped everything and installed an infected eternity rom that I have been running for a long time without any issues. I thought I was okay once I flashed this rom but when I restarted the phone it went into the boot loop sequence again. Currently after 15+ attempts at starting the phone I got it to boot up without the SD card. I rooted my thunderbolt through revolutionary...if it matters?
From reading other threads it appears I need to install an RUU? Can I just install a RUU that will not un root my phone or do I need to change my modded Hboot, go back to s on and unroot? I flashed roms numerous times without issues and I always wipe multiple times and I am not sure what happened here. Unfortunately I do not have any backups to revert back to -- since I read flashing an RUU without the proper steps can brick my phone I wanted to seek advice to make sure I do it properly.
ys RUU can help you . just my own thought.
good luck to you

Sounds like something is just wrong with you recovery. Try flashing another recovery. Also, IF you're using the boot manager app, it may be acting up. If the boot manager app is on your phone, I'd recommend removing it.

Do you mean try re installing cwm? I currently can't get into cwm because it goes into the boot loop sequence. I will try this later tonight and see if it helps. I do not have a boot manager app, I believe when I rooted through revolutionary it modifies hboot? (I have been rooted for over a year now withoutproblems)

No, boot manager is just an application from the play store.
Yes, try downloading cwm recovery again.

Update - I reinstalled CWM and got the phone into recovery, and did a reset, wiped everything and got stuck in boot loop. I eventually got the phone to boot up and I deleted a couple roms, etc in my download folder. After this was done I power cycled the phone twice without any issues.
ok... Please pardon my stupidity on this. I had a Tbolt rooted and S-off no problem. My bro-inlaw got a rezound.. so I was like "I can root and ROM it no problem." Well big problem.
I can't really remember what I've done because I've been trying everything left and right. The only thing I know for sure is that it is unlocked and I have Amon Ra's recovery on it..
I've flashed several different PH981IMGs and ROMs and each time it just keeps boot looping the whatever boot animation that ROM uses. i'm sure I've just put things that aren't compatible, but I'm so lost right now.
So, all I really want to do right now is get the whole thing back to stock.
Can anybody please tell me how to get the thing back???
thanks,
Craig
It looks like you are s-on. Use fastboot to flash boot.img on the phone and reboot.
loop
i am also having the exact same problem with my rezound. i am stuck in the boot loop and only get to the htc logo and it just stays there.
i have also tried several img. files for it and can't seem to get it to go. can some one give a few more details on how to boot into fast mode to get it going?
like exactly what files do i need to load? would these be on the root of my sd card? and do i need to rename anything?
i know for sure that my phone is "s-on".
any help would be most appreciated,
pokerhoe.
