Hi there!
I'm working on Bachelor Thesis in university, and, as a part of it, I'm also writing a GPS application for Windows Mobile - GpsApp. It is mainly a GPS logger with possibility to save data as GPX file that can be used in services like Endomondo.
It's intended to be fast, stable and low power consuming.
One of the main goals is to make it low power consuming. Currently I've compared it to EndomondoTracker - EndomondoTracker drained my battery in 4 hours and 30 minutes, GpsApp - in 7 hours (with "Min battery level" set to 0%).
Features
Current features:
* GPS logging - stores tracks in internal binary format
* Exporting data to GPX - allows to save single or multiple tracks in single GPX file
* Min battery level - stops GPS device at specified battery level (20% by default)
Planned features:
* Low-power mode for GPS
* Keep display turned on (with dimming backlight)
* Keep backlight turned on
* Speedometer (km/h, mph)
* Compass (will use GPS, because my phone does not have other sensors...)
* Find a location (will show direction and distance to specific latitude/longitude)
* Better user interface (visually and functionally), particularly "Export GPX..."
* Simple web page with description of app, help, FAQ, comments, feature requests etc
* Possibly uploading data directly to some services, e.g., to www.endomondo.com (depends on requests from users, use rights of services and their API)
Although the list seems to be easy-to-implement, I don't have much time for developing and testing it, so it will take few months. But the application is already in working state, and I'll be thankful if you could try it and write some comments
System Requirements
Device with Windows Mobile Professional and GPS receiver.
GpsApp is developed and tested on Windows Mobile 6.0, but it might work on other versions of WM as well.
Download
GpsApp can be downloaded at http://gpsapp.misc.lv/.
Latest version was released on 2011-11-27.

It works even on a CE 6.0 Sat Nav
Installed it on a Windows Embedded CE 6.0 Professional based Sat Nav. After putting the ( CE 6.0) missing 'gpsapi.dll' into app's folder, your 'GpsApp' utility started and ran flawlessly.
Hello, GPS-guys!
BinaryLV, I read about your cool app for PocketPC GpsApp and try download it, but site get down(((
Where can I get it? and gpsapi.dll?

If i am not wrong, its a paid software. I sincerly hope that you are not providing a cracked version.
I don't think this can be used in any of the rom's in this forum, definately it is paid software.
If it is a trail version then no use of having it in the ROM. As it will only work for 15 days.
If cracked, then no chef in this forum atleast, will use it in their ROM .
But it is a nice software though....
Offtopic : Duron, I guess you have the old gene. Please test the new fixed version of WM6.5 Pro Users ROM
Post reported as warez. confirmed the cab, which is indeed cracked.

FAQ
1. Does it help to battery ?
Yes.
2. How it works? and Could you give more details?
Coolify is designed to cool your device's temp down by tweaking system values, like VM and systcl... it does the battery tweak. only 80 tweaks.
More tweaks like that.
XTweak, Tweak script
It doesn't change any CPU frequencries or Governors. you can look at the /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/.
3. About cooling effect
ROMs are different and The cooling effect is not the same, 80% of the ROMs has cooling effect, no all ROMs work perfect. because Too many ROMs
4. Why is Coolify needed to run on Foreground?
It can be set as background by turning off the notification in settings interface. I just make the cooling service is not easy to be killed by system.
5. Will your "One Power Guard" app conflict with this one? Or installing both of them are A-OK?
They do not have any conflicts and the core optimization is a part of OPG, it is able to install both of them.
6. Permission Description
android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED - To set as boot
android.permission.GET_TASKS - To determine whether Coolify's cooling service is running and show UI
android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - To write error log to help solve any issues you might be facing and count the number of devices
android.permission.BATTERY_STATS - To get battery temperature
android.permission.INTERNET - To upgrade this app
android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE - To determine the network is available and to upgrade
android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE - To store certain exception information in server logs
android.permission.ACCESS_SUPERUSER - To get root access
7. What is non-service mode?

The idea is easy - listen to audiobooks from file system.
So - just copy your audiobook to the phone, select it from application and you're good to go.
If someone likes it - please leave a feedback here.
A lot is still missing from application, but it does the job for me and a lot is still to come.

Thank you so much, I just came to the WP world from Android and I use to listen to some MP3 Podcast every week, just downloading them to my phone and pressing play in Android. it looks like big MP3 files are not shown on the WP music player, and the sound player that opens when I try to open the file from the folder is just sad.
With your app now I can listen podcasts just choosing them, I can't play them on the background but when I go back to the app, it continues from where I left it.
Thanks again

RecorderThe recorder app built into the Honor 8 is very simple to use. You have REC, Pause and Stop controls. Some recorders have a tendency to over complicate the process by adding too many additional features. The stock recorder here seems to strike a perfect balance.
ThemesCustomize your system down to the very last detail. The easy to use theme engine built into the Honor 8 gives you a bunch of possibilities from custom icons, wallpapers, animations, font styles and more. Mess around with it to create your own theme, or import themes from the Play store.
Phone ManagerThe phone manager is a very clever app that manages all sorts of activities on your phone. It will scan your system and close out of apps to keep your phone running at an optimal speed. You can also manage your harassment filters, white listed apps, pin locked apps, notifications and much more.
I like the steps counter.
The remote control app looks really useful but haven't tried it yet.
So far so good. These are useful apps (Atleast I think they are) Are there any bloatware?

The only "bloat" I found when I received my phone was apps that led to customer support, store page, and other Honor webpages. But these can be easily removed by uninstalling. Other than that there isn't much. There is this included Mirror app which I don't really find useful when I found just use the camera app as a mirror.
The remote control app is wonderful! It has more brands than I can count in an hour (no, I haven't tried). So far I have it set up to both the TV and the sattelite receiver. I think I'll try it on the floor fan next time.
