If ATT gives good and cheap plans (unlikely) then I sick with ATT.
Else, probably Sprint, I'm not too fond to get Verizon as they don't have SIM cards...

some phones on sprint and verizon are world phones so they use sim cards too
I hope tmo gets a really really good phone around Christmas time, nexus i wish, then I'll upgrade and renew contract... So I get to keep the same tmo contract for the next year and a half or two even after the acquisition finalises.. I like my 70+ /mnth plan with 5gb data on TMO... When the contract ends, then I'll be on ATT, i don't mind the 2gb data limit since I don't go past 2gb every month anyway, i think it will cost more too especially two years from now or a year.. Att might raise the monthly plans...

im not sure yet that is even if the merger happens the fcc might block it and i hope they do i dont want the cheap and great t-mobile to get vaccumed up by the expensive rip off at&t that claims they have the best coverage

I think tmobile will stay intact after the merge.. Most of the merge is backend, and tmobile is supposed to be a separate entity afterwards.

The merger is gonna happen they got a lot of power in the government I'm sad do I luv tmo there the ****in best just under rated so they don't get as much customers they got best 3G an they get revolutionary phones I'm really gonna miss it

Sprint! Probably leaving T-mo here in the next month or 2... either get the 3D or the new Motorola Photon when it releases.
T-mo coverage is poop everywhere I go except work and home. I know that is only like 5% of my life that is spent where bad coverage is, but I really like my coverage to follow me other than along interstates.

Idk. A friend of mine who works for tmobile was asked two weeks ago if he was okay with workin for att.
Ill personally go to sprint. They're the only us carrier that has unlimited data. I would switch right now but i dont have the money.

Virgin mobile. Already decided to get the triumph if it happens. Also it's stock android and unlimited everything plus 300min a month it can't go wrong. Im always in nyc anyways so coverage is fine

I have a stock AT&T note running on the 50$ prepaid unlimited plan. I have tried every APN I can find, but to no avail, no mms! I have however found that the Voxer app allows you to send pictures. They send much more quickly than mms and it works if you only have a wifi connection. I'm a noob and I'm sure it shows but I didn't want it to get in the way of contributing to a forum that has given me lots of info. If anyone else has a fix for the mms issue.....I would be grateful.

Sadly today I got rid of my beloved Note. before my trial period expired I made the decision to cut ties with it. not because it was a bad phone but because of 2 issues. 1) the high price of AT&T phone service and the lack of unlimited data plan. I came from sprint 13 days ago and could not stand looking at my data usage and my first bill scare me. so I returned back to Sprint with my new S3. Love the service on AT&T. I think is the best so far. but not at a cost AT&T want it. so,,, good bye Note!!! :crying::crying:. one more thing,,,,, THANK YOU ALL AT THE NOTE FORUM FOR YOUR SUPPORT AT ROOTING,UNROOTING AND ROM FLASHING YOU ARE THE BEST AT THIS COMMUNITY XDA-DEVELOPERS ROCK!!!!!!
understandable...hate to see you leave but it is pricey. I, too, pay about 45 dollars more a month for att but I couldnt stand sprints service in my area. the trade off for me is worth it for now. plus, i love my note. it IS the main reason I came to att. be cool man. youll be missed...

Thank god I have grandfather unlimited plan. Even though they cap the speed, at least I don't have to worry about overage. Sprint Sucks where I live.

So far AT&T is the best network. I tryed Cingular,Sprint,AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon. Here the best in order in my opinion are AT&T and Sprint. I tried Verizon but lost Data connection at home!!! So after 2 days I canceled my contact.

I love in NYC and I must say T-Mobile is the way to go here. Good prices and signal and one seriously doesn't need more than 2gb because one can find free wifi anywhere here.

I was told in NYC they are turning all the old payphones into wifi hotspots. I was wondering if there is any truth to that or if that already happened? If that is the case you would never need to have a data plan.
Certainly understand. I spent years w/Sprint (not always enjoyable) BUT switched to AT&T when I got the iPhone3g when it came out.
I'd love to try Sprint again...maybe they will get a Note.
HAVE FUN with the S3 (even though it is tiny).

I never heard of such thing but that would be awesome. Now if they intend to that I'm sure there would be some type of paying plan that would be needed from whatever company that plans to carry this out

450 minutes I only use about 300 of
no texting plan since I use Google voice and text messages use data that way
And I get 20% off my minutes with a discount through my employer (Red Lobster).
Not a bad deal.
Straight Talk's $45 Unlimited Plan works well for us and it uses AT&T towers here. I use it on my Note. We use them for hot spots and haven't had any problems there either.

Sounds like OP issues isn't anything with the note as much as ATT which I can understand. I like it for my family as I have been with the big 3 and they each have their hidden features to get your money. Good luck!

You don't need a blackberry to buy the plan. Your purchasing a service from the network, they don't care what phone you have.
What plan is it btw ? And what country are you in ?

It would be nice if things worked that way, but unfortunately carriers here in the US get away with forcing plans onto people based on the device they want to use. For example you are forced into buying a data plan with any smartphone on most carriers.
It would be more helpful to get some details from the OP like what carrier they are using. As far as I know the device identity as far as what the carrier sees is tied to the ESN.

its 3g unlimited plan mate...
my friend has a blackberry. hes using 3g unlimited in his mobile. i replaced my sim with his. but i was charged for browsing when using the same sim in my mobile.
so i think my operator is detecting it some how whether im using a blackberry or not...

Then its a bbm add on. It can only be used on a BlackBerry. Its not about spoofing.

Ok so now that I got my AT&T ONE unlocked, Which prepaid carrier has the best performing data and plays nice with our phones?
I'm thinking of getting out of my contract if I find a carrier that has decent performing data. But of course this could be a moot point, from what I heard AT&T's coming out with new prepaid plans.

Where did you get your unlock code? I'm in Canada with a Rogers Wireless HTC One and I'm limited with 1GB of data where I used to have 3GB with Virgin Mobile. I'm thing about going back to Virgin. I'm paying $70 a month with unlimited Canada wide, unlimited SMS/MMS and 1GB data is too much. I only need 200 minutes of talk time but I like a lot of data.

I connected my One Dev Edition to H2O(uses at&t towers), data seems to work fine but when i run speedtest i get 0.01mb download, not sure whats wrong
