Is there any way to have a Swedish voice input in sms messeges ?
Im going crazy here cause i already tried SVOX latest versions in both HTC Desire HD and Sensation!
And i cant get it to work.. tested several sms apps!
Tested diffrent settings!
Reinstalled several times!
THe thing is that it works fine Voice commands, and voice input in messinging works fine in English! but not at all in Swedish...
And i write many sms and having voice input would be awsome!!!
PS: I really did search and didnt fine any help!
And sorry if this topic is in the wrong section.

Hi All,
Loving my Hero, got over 420 apps installed and it's still running as fast as anything!!!
This phone is truly amazing, came from the G1 and it's in a different class.
Anyway I have noticed when trying to use a few voice apps I get the message:
Voice recognizer not present
I have looked for an answer on the forums but can't seem to find one.
I'm on Modaco 2.8, has anyone else got the same issue?
I'm wondering if it is down to the rom or my phone.
I've tried re-flashing the rom but it didn't help.

I've got the same problem with my htc dream. I think there's some sort of voice library missing because I don't have the voice search functionality in my search widget either.
There's a message in de android-developers mailing list that the voice recognition has been removed from uk releases of hero/dream.
How to Fix!
Install Voice Seach (by google) in the market to fix this issue. It contains the required Voice Recognizer and should get everything working! My Microphone button even showed back up in the keyboard after installing!
The app is not available in many countries, so here you can download the lastest version (v2.1.4) http://www.mediafire.com/?r9b47dcirtt8m98 and flash it from the Recovery.

i just updated to 024 rooted, and everything it's ok.
now, I installed voice recognition and on google's search works like a charm (im from chile, and recognized very tricky phrases in spanish), and everything it's ok.
now, i tried several keyboards with voice recognition, like htc_ime, slideit, vlingo and talktome and any of those recognized any spanish word neither phrases.
so i'm wondering, why is that? is that they dont use google's api for translation, how come search by voice is amazing but keyboard voice input sucks?
i googled it and found no answers whatsoever.
EDIT: i tried gingerbread KB but voice input is not able for 2.1 :/

Just installed Vlingo and cant see some of the features advertised such as superdialer, and also answering questions and things from within the app.
When i ask for anything I get sent to google, where it does find what i want but not with the proper dialer !? Is it U.S. only ??

Hi, is there a way to have voice recognition so that we can use it for writing sms in languages other than the custom ones like Greek? I bought Cyberon voice commander but it wont write sms and I am asking if there is a way to use the Cyberor's language engine with Google's Voice Search or Vlingo? I tried to set it on the voice recognizer under voice input and output settings but nothing!
I use swype which comes with dragon dictation, which is awesome. It handles my native language almost perfect (German). I believe it can do greek aswell but haven't tried. Just download the beta on their page and give it an try.

Sorry that was to fast, I tried downloading a greek language packet and they don't support it.

Hey guys, I recently took the jump and started trying out some Jellybean roms. I absolutely love the Super Nexus rom, but there is a problem with all of the Jb roms i have tried. When I ask Google Now simple questions that it is supposed to answer, it gives me the answer, but doesn't talk. Others have Google Now working fine. I have tried changing the domain to google.com in settings, but its not working. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you configured it properly? I'm on RootBox 2.0 and it works perfectly..
For all of you who are facing this problem, configure your Google Now according to this guide and it should work well: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28043720
You must remember that currently only English works with the voice searching, other languages will be added soon by Google.

Thanks I will give that a shot.
I'm posting because I know that after official jelly bean was release for samsung galaxy s3 owners (mine is I747m), google now, voice search are not speaking loud, speaking at all, no sound...
So I wanted to share that I got it working my simply doing a master reset or hard reset.
An other method is to download from google play "set local and language". Once you install it, select English US. Make sure to have on Google Now settings - Speech output "Always speak". Also make sure to have default language "english (us)" that should do it. But everything you reset u will need to go to the program and set again the language... With the Master reset, the problem, if Gods willing, will be resolve for good and voice search and Google now will be speaking out if you ask them questions.
