Need some help! Unbricking... - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

Hi!
My friend has bricked his phone while he wanted to boot in recovery. As he told me he has a no-boot brick -> hard brick. We tried almost everything. we could connect it to odin. but it had Setup connection loop and we weren't able to flash it.. Now I just saw a video on youtube about USB Jig. I'm wondering about that it can really work with our Galaxy Ace.. If someone has some exeperience with it, please share it with us
Thanks! =)

The setup connection has something to do with not ending Kies completely

Well I asked my friend he told me that he removed it from his computer. Now he is reinstalling it.. I hope it'll work

We tried almost everything.. Only Power + Volume Up + Home button worked. Odin detected it and as we wanted to start the flash it came into a "Setup connection" loop. My friend installed kies again, but it did nothing. I don't know what to do.. :/

how bout the drivers.....?

Maybe u can try this, remove battery and sd card, hold vol down+power+home connect to yr pc then insert battery then wait for odin to detect. Be patient!!!
Hope it works.

Please help me unbrick my SG2

Hi All
my friend tried to install some rom, but i have a soft brick ( phone ! PC )
i downloaded the firmware I9100XWKDD from: androidadvices.com/how-to-root-samsung-galaxy-s-2-i9100-tutorial
and tried to burn it with Odin3 v1.85, I put the firmware tar in PDA
at first the odin stuck in rootfs step
then on my second try it stuck on boot.bin step
what can i do in order to fix the phone??
i know there is a newer firmware i dont care about new or old just fix the phone
Or i just need something else to do
Thanks!
Try it again. As long as you are able to reach Download Mode try to flash a firmware via Odin.
What OS are you using anyway? Make sure nothing is blocking Odin processes, I always Disable my NIS before starting Odin.
Thanks for quick answer
I tried three times now it stuck in the boot.bin
i am using windows 7 (running as admin)
i dont think windows is blocking because if it was, i couldn't start the process
and yes i can enter download mode i dont want to make things worse...
Tried with USB debugging enabled?
Something must blocking the process mate, I never had a connection prob!
so
The Phone is not start.... i have the (Phone ! PC) sign,
so i can only enter to download mode...
and again the flash process starts and stuck in the middle.
what else can block the odin?

i will do it later this evening
the fw i am trying to flash is I9100XWKDD, and as i stated it seems that the current one is Corrupted.
if you have more ideas i will be happy to hear. thanks for the help so far
Make sure Kies is not running in the background, that could potentially block flashing

[HELP] Ace Brick...

Hi, well yesterday I was trying to flash the SGAce of my dad with Odin, but it was like 18 minutes without moving from the part that said "qcsbl download .." and as I unplug the phone and I closed the Odin, as I unplug the phone and turn it off so I try to turn it back on and nothing, try to enter the recovery mode and nothing, so try to enter anything Download ... and now I have a paperweight ... What I can do?
view my post here, flash the clockworkmod recovery from stock. if u allready have cwm, then flash the rom in the link off your sd card. it will boot up.

not work, download files ClockWorkModAce.zip Root.zip and place them on a MicroSD, insert the MicroSD to the phone and try to enter recovery mode and nothing happens ... : s Understand that the phone does not respond (it has full battery, no SIM) as well as connect to the computer via USB or attempt to charge the screen does not respond. Do you know any other solution? : s

Thanks dragonnn spacecaker, today I learned something new and I'll put you to review this more thoroughly, but the important thing now, I have everything installed ok but when I put "adb devices" do not see the Ace, remember that the phone is in black does nothing.

Yep, service is your answer. Bricked mine about a month ago. No life whatsoever, couldn't turn it on. I tried every possible solution that search results offered me and still nothing. At the end it had to be flashed directly on board. So I spent 50 euros on service, but I learned a valuable lesson.

I am in a state of fear, fear that if i turn off my phone and turn it back on it wil go straight into emergency mode.
Its very wierd,my pc running on windows 7 doesnt recognise my phone(all drivers are intact and installed) in both emergency mode and booted mode and even when the phone is off and i plug in usb,the yellow screen of emergency just pops up. Also i cant boot my phone cause one touch at the power button and yellow screen pops up. The good news though is,after countless attempt at taking out battery then inserting it again and trying to power on,the phone wil boot normaly again. And one more wierd thing is, if wen inserting the usb,the emergency screen doesnt pop up(happens rarely) but lg logo does, then my laptop recognises my phone, and in this way i change my rom from OpenOptimus 2.2.01 to stock v2.3 using kdz updater. Right now its booted and runing normaly except for usb mass storage mode and usb tethering(cuz my laptop doesnt recognize my phone)
I know smethng is wrng with my phone bt i dnt knw wat. Pls help me!

[Q] Major issues all programs stopping!!!!

When I turned on my i9300 galaxy III phone last week it prompt me for an upgrade. I installed it and as soon as it booted again, every single app started to issue warnings about stopping. The phone cycles through all of these pop up warnings over and over again and never reaches the home screen.
What I have tried:
Plugged it to PC open Kies - drivers were not installed correctly, Kies didnt connect.
Ran troubleshooting (unplugged phone b4) connected phone again Kies didnt connect.
Restarted the phone in d/l mode --> wipe data/factory reset, this time the drivers were installed correctly but Kies didnt connect again.
Unplugged phone open Odin and it didnt recognize the phone either.
Tried 2 different cables switched USB ports and nothing!!
PC recognizes the phone but it wont let me see content in windows explorer.
Please help me, thanx in advance. :crying:

For ODIN to recognize the device you must first go into Download Mode and you need to shutdown the device first then do this hold home+vol down+then power button)
You don't need root to use ODIN though. If you want to revert to stock see the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646610 it's pretty straightforward anyway so i guess you won't do something unnecessary.
As you were upgrading legitimately, take it back to vendor or Samsung and get them to sort it

Neither Kies nor Odin recognizes the phone. PC installs drivers correctly and knows when its plugged in but thats about it
