Yesterday my Lumia shut down, it had too less battery.
Now I charged it the whole night on the power plug but still no life sign
Is there a trick to get it back to life? with my other phones I removed battery and inserted again which worked. I also tried to USB-connect it to my Laptop.
issue is solved, I had to push the power button for 10 seconds (it felt lot longer...)
Had this same issue on my Galaxy Tab. Very strange.
had similar issue on first day with my lumia 800.
got into my car and noticed bluetototth did not connect.
I checked the phone and noticed bluetooth was off.
Tried to swith it on again - but failed.
Decided to restart the phone, switched it off and was unable to switch it on again!!!
I pulled the simcard out and managed to swith the phone on...
Same issiue here, but not been able to solve it until now. The Screen hangs at the "Nokia"-LOGO ?!?!
Any ideas? It has been charged for 1h now!
Hold down for 10 seconds release and then hold down again.... this is a bug of some sort... sure it will be fixed in a firmware update.

Mine turned off as well, it took me like good 10 minutes to get it working again. It's a really annoying bug. Holding it down 10 seconds doesnt work. It turns on and stays on a red one bar battery indicator...
i had same experiences, once i was charging my lumia, but I couldn't turn on. I plug in/out power cable, no sign on the screen, try few times later, finally it switched on

Hello everyone,
I got a question. Yesterday, my phone shutdown do to no more battery. Once I got home (about 1h30 after), I plug-it into my computer for a good slow charge. I noticed the led was blinking red instead of staying on, but I though it was due to critical low battery. After 3 hours, still the same. I try to open it but nothing happened. Then, I noticed that when I touch the screen or button, the phone vibrate.
I then unplug and try again, same thing. I try plug into the wall charger, samething.
Then I proceed to hold the power button for 5 seconds. All three touch button start flashing and stayed on, but no joy, still vibrate when touching anything with screen turn off (not just no backlight, no image at all).
I manage to found out that holding the button nearly 10 seconds, it force a reboot and then was OK and charged at 70%.
I'm wondering what's the deal here. Is it a problem with the stock rooted rom?
Thanks

I face a problem with my cell phone amaze 4G and I was wondering if someone kindly help me.
Actually, I was working with my cell phone after I charged the phone to 100%, suddenly it turned off and now it does not turn on. I tried to go into recovery mode (It's volume down, and long hold power button down right) but unfortunately it also does not work. None of it's LED turn on, even though it is under charge. It seems there is no electricity on it.
I should mention I have never rooted my cell phone and I bought it 10 day ago.

Try pull your battery out then put it back and see if your phone can boot. Or try a different battery if you have an extra.
I pull battery and I keep it away for 8 hours and after that I put it back again. Fortunately my phone turn on, but I faced another problem. Now my phone cannot connect to network. I mean, my phone does not have signal and it show this message “No signal”. I did a hard reset, but it have the same situation again…

Maybe you have to enter your apn settings
Don't know if it will work but worth a try. Power off your phone then take the SIM card out. Wipe the contact area clean (lens cleaning tissue is good) and put it back. Power on the phone and see if you get cell signal. Try it at different locations where you used to get signal. If still no go, you may have to contact your carrier about this issue.
Just like to write my experience here:
Phone:
Nokia Lumia 800, unlocked
Firmware: 1750.0805.8773.12220
Problem symptoms:
Unsually no display
Can not switch ON
Has vibrate feedback while switching on
Will not connect to PC for long (only about 2 Seconds, as HID device)
May respond to charger connect with a vibrate
Does get warm while charging
SOMETIMES will have display, but usually not for long
I noticed:
have display and charging are not related.
Longer charging does not make it more likely to have display
After putting the phone in the fridge for 15 Minutes it starts right away!
Conclusion:
There is a relationship between heat and malfunctioning.
Action taken:
1. I put the phone in the fridge for 30 Minutes
2. Then put it between two milk tetrapacks (cold and closed of course!)
3. Connect it to Zune
4. Did a backup
5. Installed the latest firmware in the hope that it works better
The whole update process takes about 1 hours.
Version after update: 1750.0823.8852.12430
Sobering, the start and display problem is still there. The hope that this was fixed with software did not materialize.
Update:
The last few days the phone was totally dead. No response to nothing. I thought maybe the LCD was bad (I know, stupid, because it should still vibrate) and I brought it with to one of that cell phone heaves were you can buy every single part for every phone produced in the last 15 years.
To find Lumia 800/N900 LCDs were no problem. There were plenty. I changed the LCD (takes me now 2 Minutes) against another, and another - no change. Dead.
Then the dude had an open Lumia 800 (or N900 - they look the same) - I tried my LCD there - no problem. Then we swapped batteries - still my phone stayed bad. At that point the dude talked about bad main board.... but I was running out of time and had to break up. I finally excepted that the phone is bad.
Well, today, 3 days later, I plugged it in to my PC - suddenly LCD came up and it works normally. For now, but I doubt for long. (just had the USB cable disconnected and the battery level dropped from 12% to 6% within a Seconds)
Same, same, but I got workaround

I have the same problems with my L800.
When my batterys are completly empty. The phone is not starting, after plugging it to a charger.
Everytime it runs in a restartloop. Like Buzzzzzzzzzzz ...... buzz ..... Buzzzzzzzz ... buzzz ... and so on.
Workaround:
I let it charge (or loop) for about 1 hour. Then I disconnect the charger. After 2 minutes I start the phone. And as far, as the bootscreen appears I plug it to the charger. (Remark that the battery is still completely empty). Now the charge proceed correctly and everything is fine again and no loops.
I hope I could help. My L800 is on the way to cutomer care.

im having the same issue, is there a solution for this?
I have no positive update. Sometimes the phone works perfectly for a few days, then it's dead for a few days. When I cool it then it charges better and I do get display.
So this morning I went to the Nokia Care center, I charged the phone in the car, and fixed it to an A/C outlet. It worked fine, but when in the shop it was warm again and didn't work (means no display, it had touch feedback). The girl connected it, but seems there was no response. They want $50 just for looking at it - and in case it's the main board - that would be $260 (The Lumia 620 sells for about $200 official price).
I gave up on the Lumia 800 !
If I buy a sparepart there is a chance that still something else is broken. Pity, I love the OS and the form factor.

I didn't touch it for a few month. So yesterday I charged connected it again to the PC. No display. Sometimes it connects, and disconnects to the PC (the PC makes it sounds then, still no display).
When I switched off the PC the phone made a sound - that made me curious!
So I switched on the phone and to my surprise got the low battery logo on the screen. Even though the phone was plugged to the PC all day and got warm too.
Anyway, after a 2nd start button press it booted to WP. I connected immideately back to power and it stayed fully functional most of the time. Battery was about 6% first, and it continued to charge. It's >90% now.
Just now it crashed for no reason and restarted. Sometimes I get a cracky yellowish screen and the system crashed (have to add that my screen is not original).
Now my question: is there any tool that lets me check the hardware ?
I am not sure if I should be concerned, but this has now happened twice. Sometimes I let the phone slow charge from my desktop PC. This morning, after turning the phone off last night, it would not power on. It was connected to the desktop when I shut it off last night. This morning, with the phone still connected to the USB port, I turn on the V10 and nothing! To get it to power on, I had to hold the power and volume down button for about 15 to 20 seconds. I have been connecting it to my PC and my work laptop since I bought it last May. I did not have the problem until the latest update that was just pushed to the phone. Has anybody else had this problem?
Mine has started doing the something, it shut off for 2 days with boot loop issues, just came back on after i brought a new phone.
Having the boot loop issue here. Verizon just told me in chat that the latest update is known to be causing boot loop issues. Maybe it's possible it also stops these phones from turning on at times. I'm hoping to get mine to start up before having to send it back to Verizon or LG.
I have most recent software. I turn the thing off and on constantly. Mostly by switching batteries. Hopefully this doesn't happen to me. As it is, I most likely WON'T be buying LG again.

Hey guys!
So i have this unusual problem with my phone. The phone won't turn on, but when i plug it in the charger it shows the battery icon with the little "loading" circle in it. It does that constantly when plugged in, icon is on the screen for a few seconds then the screen is all black, it goes like that untill I unplug it.
I thought that the phone was broken, but today while it was plugged in i saw the real charging animation and it said that the phone had 50% of battery so I quickley pressd the power button and it turned on normally. After that i turned the phone off and back on again, everything worked perfectly. So i tried turning it off again and pulling the battery out. Now it wont start again.
The firs time it happend I was using the phone and it freezed, so i pulled the battery out and then it happend.
The phone is running latest version of cm11 donwloaded from cm website.
I hope that somebody knows the answer to my problem.
Thanks in advance!

I'm might know what happening with your phone, and i don't know the final solution either, but you can use your phine with a little bit of effort, just plug your phone to charge and open download mode (press power key, home key , vol down key simultaneously)
And let be in that position for 5-10 min and then press cancel. Then it will show your device name for real long...... wright there for 5-10 min again and it will be working again, don't let it go off again or do same procedure if it goes off, you may have problem with your sensor's, wanna stable solution? Go to your service provider
