Hey guys, I run aosp roms on my Dinc , and Evo to be able to use wiimotes. Can the resound stock do this, or is HTC still lagging behind in this. My Resound will be here Thursday, and was just wondering. Thanks.....
Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk
No luck getting it to work here. I can use the Wii remote with my Droid X but not my Rezound. I've been reading that it has to do with HTC Sense on many other devices and the same is likely true on the Rezound.
That's what I figured, was just hoping HTC mighta changed... Thanks.

Why did the HTC og evo (except gb update), 3d and sensations bootloader get cracked so quickly and the DX1 and 2 aren't unlocked yet? I have a few buddies with the DX1 and 2 that need some dope kernels and roms.
Thanks in advance
Dave
PS. And please don't say they're ****ty phones because they're not. Thanks.

simpe htc security sucks thats why its cracked that fast
Is this app/feature still something HTC contributes to on the One X and EVO LTE?
Its kinda dead on the EVO 4G and Jetstream devices... Did it die off with htcsense.com or is there something new brewing there?
Though, its actually something I really enjoy, if they would do something like, a weeky, bimonthly, or even a monthly update. I would get so excited to see what new wallpapers or sounds htc had to offer.
I think I read in the manual that it is still there. Not sure if it has advanced any though.

Redesigned but not really improved. Couldn't find apps like Fashlight & other HTC specific apps.

Where are you coming from?
Hello all of my Wonderful EVO lovers! As a junior developer who is getting this device (and plans to release some cool stuff), I just wanted to see if there is anyone that I might happen to know already in this Forum that I could work with. None-the-less, this isn't just about that, but getting to know everyone in this particular forum as well. I hope that you all can vote and answer and be proud to get such an amazing flagship device for Sprint.
Edit sorry for missing a few major devices, this was made late! Just throw your device in a category you think it would fit in then go ahead and whack a post on the thread to tally your vote for it.
HTC TouchPro2: I
Nexus S: IIII
Nexus One: I
HTC HD II: I
HTC Vivid: I
HTC Shift: I
HTC TouchPro2
I don't feel comfortable with any of the poll choices.
Generic? No way!
Sprint feature? Don't think so.
Either way, huge improvement incoming.
Nexus One.
Got it at release, still running well but its time for an upgrade.
HTC hero cdma its just time for 4g

Hi StrumerJohn,
Great idea with the poll... very interesting. I look forward to seeing your work.
I too am coming from the Hero. I've stalled as long as I could. My hero is showing his age and the Design 4g was a poor Hero replacement to me so I waited for EVO!
Coming from HTC EVO 3D

Not a shocker that the majority of folks are coming from the EVO 4G.
RAZR Maxx. I'll miss the battery life. But the EVO is better in every other aspect.

Sorry guys! I didn't mean to forget any categories! xD
Just vote for a generic listing if yours isn't here then pop out a reply to the thread with it's true identity and I shall add it to the OP Poll thing I just added.
Thanks for all of your replies and everything! I can't wait to get this device and start pushing out some mods and tweaks!
Coming from the EVO 3D.
Hopefully this will be the phone I'll keep for 2 years, I've never kept a smartphone for more than a year. Or puchased later than 3 months after initial release.
I doubt anyone will come from the LG Viper 4G LTE lol, its pretty fresh on the shelf compared to everything else on the poll.
Is this from most recently? I started in the Hadnspring days ala Treo 600.
Evo 3D most recently. I guess I didn't realize people didn't upgrade every time a new sweet phone came out. I try to just stick to HTC though, since I like Sense.

LOL, yeah. Your current phone.
It'd be epic over epic if you were upgrading from the Treo 600 to the EVO 4G LTE.
No stylus or Franken-Garnet Palm OS, the screen difference, no pulling up that dinky antenna. Jesus... You'd probably have lockjaw.
This is going to be an awesome forum

Come on man, you didn't have to pull the aerial out, it was stationary.
160x160 screen.
OS Garnet
1xRTT goodness.
SD card.
The Treo 650 was leaps and bounds better. No EvDO still but the screen was good and it had bluetooth. The keyboards were AWESOME on each.
I've been watching videos and looked for threads regarding this but haven't seen just a list of differences was wondering if anyone could do a short difference list. I'm coming from an HTC thunderbolt been using sense. Pre-ordered with verizon but looking for like a heads up.

I also came from a thunderbolt. Your in for a real treat man thats all i can say. Get excited for the mail man. GS3 is on a whole new level in every way from the thunderbolt.
touchwiz is a bit different from stock or sense but its pack with incredible features!!
I'm going to miss sense soo much. I'll always have my incredible2 to play with though. Especially with nitsuj deving sense4 to it so well.. hopefully there is a good miui Rom atleast

I have a Vivid, a friend of mine on Verizon has a Droid Bionic. Been having some issues with it and obviously it's a Motorola so it's locked down. He asked if I'd recommend the rezound. From what I've seen the rezound doesn't have ics yet and I imagine it'll be the same terrible sense infested 3.6 pos that's on my phone. My real question is, does s-off require a wire trick and are there any cm builds for it? Based on my phone imo I can't recommend because development wise its kind of a dead end.

Same s-off wire trick, same pos sense 3.6 tho you can get sense 4 roms. No CM yet... Almost there but not yet.
That's an advantage over the vivid definitely as sense 4 isn't possible due to ril restrictions imposed by at&t. Still sounds just like the vivid though as not being the most developer friendly

Yeah nowhere near the development of the nexus or anything but it's not too too bad
The Rezound certainly has been a ruff road to follow development wise. It is an awesome device with stellar specs. The one downfall is the device is still waiting on full AOSP support. Apparently though one of our developers did have a break through the other night with getting LTE data working. So hopefully it won't be very long yet as he is just basically working out one final bug before he releases his work to the community.
One thing is for sure, the Rezound has awesome radio support, so signal wise its pretty much the best out there. Atleast in my opinion.

+1......effing nexus radio
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Xparent Blue Tapatalk 2
Yeah he's having an issue with his lte radio on his bionic, apparently a common issue. He tried to swap for a nexus but they wouldn't let him however they said he could have rezound. Think its better than a bionic?

Me personally yeah but some dudes are going to come in here and talk about development and that the camera and the screen is superb.
:cyclops:
Cool I sent him a link to this thread. Definetly sounds like the Rezound isn't as locked down as my vivid.
So I doubt my friend would be willing to do the wire trick, as I haven't done it on my Vivid, however I know on the Vivid you can get by fine with s-on, you just gotta flash boot.img through fastboot before you flash a rom in recovery. Same ordeal pretty much? I'm guessing so, internally our phones our identical aside from the radios and the rezound being clocked 300mhs faster. They are both HTC sensations at their core lol

The rezound is a 720p super lCD, the bionic screen IMO is pretty meh. My vivid is only a qhd super LCD and it owns his bionic so I can't imagine any bionic owner talking smack about the rezounds screen!
HTC really has the nicest screens these days. Samsung used to but super amoled is showing its age imo

Not even in the same league. He needs to make the swap before they change their mind!
And the wire trick, not as bad as it sounds. I must admit my hands were shaking while I was doing it and it must have taken my about 15 tries before I got the timing right. lol

I worded that wrongly. There was a group of people saying the nexus camera was excellent and the screen was better.

Haha exactly. In the end the wire trick just came down to nerves, lol. I got mine in three tries but like the other person it was just because of the shakes.

Wire Trick Shakes: [n] That awful feeling you get when s-off'ing your phone. This feeling includes shaking, clammy palms, and getting really hot.

Yeah I've left my vivid s on mainly because the screw with a sticker that says void. Honestly for the Vivid its not necessary unless you haven't gotten an ota yet, but it does make flashing more convenient as I pretty much have to get on my PC to flash roms.
Sent from my HTC PH39100 using Tapatalk 2
Tell him to get it man. Like it was said before, the rezound is way above league then the bionic. Both the Rez and Nexus have their strong points, overall most people agree that the rezounds strong point is hardware, and the nexus is software. Though ill tell you that Newts Sense 4 is amazing, and I have been using it since his original release, it only keeps getting better.
And if chad can pull off a lock on 4g, with Aosp, the rezound will only be arguably the best phone on Verizon.

Well he talked to another rep and got a nexus but oh well. Still nice chatting with the community for the Vivid's Verizon cousin
