[Q] Mirror for Galnet MIUI ICS 2.11.26 - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Was wondering if anyone had a mirror for the Galnet MIUI ICS ROM since the original link for the ROM has been down for a few days already. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone can link me to one! I really want to try the ROM out. Thanks in advance.

You would be better off googling. The mods will close this thread and delete any links to galnet roms due to various rule violations

Dude... Go to the GalnetMIUI website...

Their download server has been down for days.

dont even bother, 1.11.9 imo is even more stable than 2.11.26. the minor bugs are stil there and you risk bootlooping and then wiping etc.

So I take it the answer is "No" ~ who (aside from OP lol) said anything a/b galnet ... i am simply interested in a mirror for MIUI 2.11.26 ICS..
fear of bootlooping ... come on fellers ...LOL

Seriously though, other than a few theme differences, all the major bugs from 1.11.9 are still there, and the "no service" bug is actually back, whereas 1.11.9 didn't have it.
I suggest staying away as well.
I've reported the bug on the Galnet forums in the 2.11.26 release thread and in a separate bug report thread with no response whatsoever.

2.x results in bootloop. Coming from KK5. Coming from Miui 1.x. Wiping data/cache/dalvik.. everything wiped.. nothing works!

To get it to properly boot up, flash the latest weekly, then don't wipe, and install 2.11.26.

[ROM] (GSM) - ICS MIUI v4 based on Sony BETA ICS - Android 4.0.3 [RL 07/03] *Alpha*

Hey Guys,
Here is a MIUI v4 build based on the ICS BETA ROM from Sony!
All credits for the BETA go to Sony, Atarii, DooMLoRD, nickholtus, KeiranFTW and DJ_Steve
Download here: http://www.mediafire.com/?9v416zly9u6778u
See this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1524159
Everything that is wrong with that ROM is wrong with this one plus a lot more at the moment.
Use one of the kernels from that thread to get it booted, please note it takes a while!
Make sure to wipe EVERYTHING before installing.
You should use -64 baseband and flash after a fresh install of .62 stock firmware.
I will work on this further when I come back on Monday.
vuhuu im waiting i will be first tester
Its up, enjoy!
Reserved for screenshots, my impression and saying thank you.
unfortunately still does not recognize sim card
oh.. will try this out...

Just thought I would say, you have done well becoming a developer starting from nowhere
I found that kernel v3 was the only one which worked for me, beautiful looking software <3 MIUI. Couldnt get to the settings menu though to fix the graphical glitches :/ so i had to go back to ICX beta.
Media programs do not work, just crash everytime you do anything.
But keep up the good work mate

[ROM[Port!]][MIUI.us][2.9.14][Siyah]**9/16/12**

*** Please note that I will not be updating this version of MIUI anymore per your feedback (poll response). I will keep updating the MIUIAndroid and ASNET versions. thank you!***
For people not familiar with the MIUI Android version, let me tell you that it is a better version of MIUI because it does not have all the extra (unnecessary) apps, and their translation is more complete. As far as the ASNET version, it gives you more control on what you want to install + extras. This is just my opinion, I would encourage you to try both and decide for yourselves... Development of cMIUI has been stopped by the dev, once (if) development resumes I will update that rom as well.

just flashed, first boot and everything seems pretty smooth, ill report back with more later, good work dev!
edit: cant wait till later, loving the multi tasking and the smoothness, very good work so far mr. mauz

[DISCUSSION][ROM][P500] MIUI.us v4 ICS [2.8.17] by Zackconsole

Any questions, problems, or comments? Leave them here for others to reply! Let's keep the developmental thread clean of stuff that is not related to the development of the ROM (untested features, untested kernels, third party apps, etc; pretty much anything other than what comes stock with the rom). That's why that thread is in the development section. Now with that in mind, post away!
Keep up-to-date with the rom here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1821523
can we make thuis thread cover all 3 miui v4 2.8.3 roms in this device section?
Nope .. its better to ve separate threads.. coz all three are different.. it ll be a kinda mess:thumbdown:
So it's not exactly official? Or is it? I couldn't tell from reading the posts in the dev thread
it's an unofficial build
There will be any problem if i flash the rom with amonra 3.06 instead cwm???

I'm a little confused. It's unofficial but the real deal right? Not just a themed CM9?

It's based on Cm9 nightlies by argen!
To Prevent Any Confusion
MIUI Wont Support LDPI/MDPI Phone
But We From Miui.US might give this little phone official support(might be) but mostly you will get the weekly build for this device if it stable.
That all.
All Miuiv4 ROM are based on CM9/AOKP/AOSP/

Zackconsole, first of all thanks for your great ROM. It's almost stable for me, no problems except of known ones.
Just one thing i've noticed: could you check why vtb24 app(sorry, can't post the link because of posts count) isn't compatible with your ROM? It's compatible with all the ROMs i've tried(Lupo's, hep's, all MIUI ROMs) except of yours. Maybe something wrong with build.prop?
Thanks in advance.
Installed the new version. Did a full wipe, clear dalvik, cache.
Bugs i've encountered:
1. Crash when trying to enable Wi-Fi through settings.
2. Missing strings in settings(the first one leads to VPN and Tethering settings, the second one gives a crash.)
3. As mentioned in the development thread the com.android.media process crashes sometimes.
Thanks for fixing signal strength though:good:
Edit: can't get a log at the moment due to the missing Wi-Fi.

To be able to use and apply themes you have to create a folder @ /data/system/(Create New Folder)theme
Make sure it's lower case however. I think it matters.

It's fast, very stable and a pretty good ROM. Use it until the bugs in this one are gone

Getting started with installing custom ROM

Hello everyone,
I have recently rooted my SGS2
using CF root.
Replace the Stock kernal with siyah 4.1.5
Then currently i am on stock ROM
slimICS.
HOw to keep the thread alive....
share your experience of Custom ROM which you are using.
Pros and Cons of the ROM...
Report any Bug..
We can then submit the issue to corresponding Thread or developer..
It is really your choice when it comes to deciding on a ROM.
A few things to consider, the JB 4.1.1 ROMs are available but not stable yet. So if you want to try the latest and greatest and don't mind the odd crash and random reboot it allows you the opportunity to report back your findings and assist in that way with development.
If stability is your concern, then you certainly want to go with an ICS ROM. CM9 is pretty stable as a recommendation.
As you mentioned earlier you could also dual boot to experience both. Just a few pros and cons for you to help in decision.
Let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Theres no limit to the number of ROMs you flash in a day
Only make sure your battery is above 60% atleast before you flash a ROM, or anything for that matter.

Hey Manubr,
few dayz back i was also having the same question
should i try JB too ??..
ok so here is the answer.
JB ROMs are not stable since it has some memory leak issue.
It wil not be resolved till Samsung officially launch JB for SGS2.(will have to wait for stable version)
But CM10 team is trying to resolve infact minimize the issue and get the best JB ROM...
you can check there 30 sep nightly build...
Which i have installed it...
I m having SlimICS ROM1
and CM10 ROM 2..
