I have MiniCM7Pro v21 by Paul but was wondering if anyone could make an official gingerbread rom from the AOSP sources...
Thanking you in advance.
Why you want that? We have Cyanogen unoficial, it's more stable and has many more options, and all the X10 MP devs are working on the ICS.

CyanogenMod is stable but I understand you. DOing AOSP port is complicated, but you propably want to have not branded firmware?
I also feel like CyanogenMod is a bit 'too much' at times.
For instance: there's a lot of options to configure the lockscreen, but it never gets as good as widgetlocker. So when you use another lockscreen app it's all excessive code.
Right now I think CM7 is a heavier OS than AOSP Gingerbread?

Hey guys I'm thinking about changing from free x10 beta 4 to cyanogen 6.1.3 and I just wanted to know does cyanogen support over the air updates via rom manager and does it work? Also which is better?
Sent from my X10i using XDA Premium App
Cynagen works but I checked cm updater it says 6.13 is an old version. Also I am not sure will cynogen update over. Air will work Cox cynogen doesn't,t officially support X10

Cyanogen is much better. I have tried both and the cyanogen is more customizable and runs smoother. I also have less bugs with cyanogen.

I found the rom mod cyanogen smooth unstable with the original rom (free beta4). almost all come from rom 2.2 beta4.
Thanks Guys. But I heard that X10 beta 4 runs much faster. Exactly what is the difference between the two. Like what can I do on cyanogen that I can't do on free x10
guys currently ALL froyo roms are derivatives/mods of the FreeX10 rom by Z...
cyanogenmod is for adding additional settings/modifications to the freex10 rom... its an addon for those who like extra tweaking...
just wondering who uses which rom and why!?
i used miniCM and gigglebread and i like both of them and just cant decide!!
note:
i do not want to offendanybody because every dev does great work! and at that point thank you so much for your work!!!
Yeah big THANKS to our developers.
Personally i am using MiniCM and i havent used giglebread..... coz i think for now MiniCM is more developed and stable to use than gigle.
i use both of them. most of the time gigglebread but when i know i want to take some pictures the next day i restore the mini cm rom
MiniCM mainly if not only for camera and the fact that it's targeted towards mini not mini pro!

Dark Dog rules
my favorite are CM 6&7 by Owain94 & Jerpelea...
but if the speed more than now, it should be the best.
floyo v4 by owain
miniCM by nobodyAtall !! my favorite!
Stock "ROM" for me - not because I'm afraid of doing anything with my phone - but simply because it's the only one which does what I want it to do and is stable.
I've tried all the various options and always switch back to stock - because it just works. There is nothing I need or want in the custom roms, and they do lack features I use from the stock rom.
Was a fan of NobodyAtAll's MiniCM... It was great...
Yesterday i just tried Gigglebread and man it was great...
Battery backup is almost 1.5 times the previous(lasts approx 2 days now)...
Will continue with it... 2.1 gave worst battery backup in time..
i like slades and owains rom the gigglebread ones!

2) Easily upgradeable
3) Support droid wall (VERY IMPORTANT)
4) A stable release no bugs or issues wit camera or anything
i have been looking around n hav no idea wat these roms look like and wat are the issues... PLEEZ help me find one.. gimme a name and the details and ill search the rest..
Im currently running
Baseband 2.1.54
Build Number 2.1.A.0.435
Kernel Version 2.6.29
rooted:yes
recovery type: xrecovery
firmware version: 2.1-update1
Pleez help.. eagerly waitin...
ok it should most importantly be STABLE and iptable/netfilter support and decent score on performance
I suggest you try Free
X10. It's the most standard Froyo ROM I think.
does it support droidwall???

Ew Jet ROM stock. Excellent battery. For you, yes.
Camera. Yes. App2Sd, NO.
Droid wall, use anti-virus.
Or try free x10 but its camera is ****ty like all custom ROMS

I used it for some time as my daily and camera was fine. I know there is also a modded camera.apk somewhere. It's even better then the default one on Free X10.
Kxhawkins high performance SE ROM 2.1 is one that looks like stock. It may take some looking for it though under the x10 development section. Or use the search function.

No visual mods other than supercircle battery in notification bar. No hacky tweaks or unstable mods. For ASOP, you need FreeX10. For performance and stability, Wolfbreak CM6. For pure CyanogenMod, kx10 CM6. For "pretty", TRIPNMIUI. For bleeding edge, FreeXperia CM7.

None. Our kernel doesn't support iptables so no droidwall for now on any ROM. The devs are working on custom kernels and implementing droidwall but its not there yet.

Hi!
I have not released any ROM before, but I have a couple of them on my harddrive.
Both of them are ported from other devices, and iv'e used Z ROM just to get them booting, and then used FreeXperia sources for "optimizing" them.
Now to the question, I have one MIUI ROM, and one AOSP "stock google" ROM, which one do you think I should be focusing on and releasing? What do you guys want the most? Anything else I should put in there etc?
AOSP. I don't really like the miui interface, but Trip's ROM works great.

AOSP for GB or Froyo?
Like MIUI except for not having an app drawer. Only drawback.
Could any dev port it? miniMIUI? I think miui is better then CM, but I can´t find a MIUI Rom

it takes too much time and resources to resize miui to ldpi... this question has been asked several times plz do some research before posting
It's not mdpi>ldpi that's the problem, miui is written for armv7 cpu, needs full recode to armv6

This is 2.2 but it is MIUI style......
On top of all that, the sources arent open :/
I hate to say it but I don't think you're in luck. When official SE support for this phone faltered, some people moved on. In the last 2 months I've noticed a HUGE drop in visitors, readers, contributers to the Mini section. So I would be shocked if something came from this.
And interest in MIUI for the Mini is probably shown in the existing MIUI roms. You know you can do a good job with an MIUI theme, launcher, pick up the audio/pictuers etc.
