I am having some problems with the proximity Sensor of My Razr XT 910...
Sometimes the sensor just wont activate In call leaving my display powered On resulting in unwanted taps...This has happened 3 times since I got my phone a couple of weeks back...
Once the sensor knocks off the only way to get it to work again is by restarting the phone...
Anybody else faced this problem with the Razr..
No... If it was a hardware problem I would tend to to think it would do it every time.

Have you tried cleaning the screen? Do you have a case on it that might be overshadowing the sensor? Bubble under the screen protector?

No Case or screen protector...

Yes, me. Exactly the same problem.
The problem disappears after rebooting...
Try turning off "in pocket detection"
It's in settings/screen/
This causes the sensor to be on 100% of the time, which might be a problem.
Otherwise, try updating if you haven't.

Just installed the update about an hour ago and I noticed during the last two calls recieved that when I bring my phone up to my ear, my screen does not turn off. Anyone know if the update broke the proximity sensor, or could I have a setting messed up?

No issues with mine either.
Yes, I noticed the same thing. I "fixed" it by going to Settings> Display> In-Pocket Detection and turning it off. It solved the problem and stayed solved even when I turned it back on. Hope this works for you and others as well.

In pocket detection has never worked for me. Anyone else experienced this?

So for some reason, after I did a root and bl unlock, my phone has been acting up. when I try to send a text, multiple keys become activated its like I have ghost fingers. and I've used multiple text apps. I've returned phone to stock and still same problem. any suggestions are welcome. or any idea why its happening
Same thing happens to me.
You experience random scrolling too?
Usually it's solved by turning off the screen and turning it back on (power button) and happens about 1/20 times of turning the screen on.
Touchscreen shuttering, same problem. Hardware (touchscreen) or...?
Solutions?

I have this same issue but I have chalked it up to being my sweaty hands. That's the only time it happens is when my hands are sweating.

yea. and you are right. when i turn the screen on and off, it works normally most of the time. but sometimes it just keeps doing the random scrolls.
Any solutions??

Have you tried factory reset? Have you tried any custom rom and it did the same thing?

I've had this problem for months and am sure it's related to moisture on the screen rather than a ROM issue.
To fix it I used to have to turn the screen off, wipe it down completely and turn it back on. Also wiping my fingers dry helped.
Now, I have a glare reducing screen protector on it and the problem has basically gone away. I chose a glare reducing protector to give me slightly more texture to the screen. The default glass was just too smooth and sensitive.
Maybe ur matrix are haunted by a ghost apk......j.k
I´ve been having this issue since CM7.
When my screen is wet, it becomes completely unusable. Excessive dirt also causes this problem.
And a more important thing, i´m now using neutrino Rom, and i´ve noticed the now we can use the fingerprint reader as a scroll pad, and actually works pretty good.
Problem solved! I will post my solution later.
Please, post the solution. I'm having this problem, and I think it's software.

Hi there:
am I the only one that has problems with the screen not coming up (turn on) during calls if you separate it from the ear. And most of the times when I touch the screen it goes back off ignoring the touch command. This creates a great problem when I am in a call and have another call coming in. Also although using the power button works sometimes, it does not work all the time and I end up loosing the call. It is really frustrating and is happening in both CM9 and Official ICS. I think is a kernel problem or a hardware problem. Anyone experimenting the same??
I don't have that problem.. Official ics..

I had the same problem also. Apparently, it happened after I put the screen protector. To solve the problem, I cut the area around the proximity sensor and the no more problems during call. (official ICS)

You can reflash your ROM or change it, maybe it is problematic or the flash didn't go well.
I already done that and problem is still same.

Did you try to take the battery out of the device for a few minutes?

I did too, but still the same. I do not know what else can be done, it is strange that lights, so I think that is not broken.
I am rooted, and currently runny no-name ROM but rom doesnt seem to matter. My proximity senser is giving me issues. Testing it showed that if i cover it it will recognize it but then is stuck not sensing me removing it. I dont have any case or screen glass that is covering it. Anybody else having this issue?
Yes I have had this issue since day 1. Stock not rooted

Have had the same issue since day one, 11/10/15. Not rooted. Aside from an ok battery life, this is the only problem I have with the LGV10.
i have this problem also.. its happening more and more when hanging up a call. I have to press the back button to get the screen back on.
