I've been thinking, can we use a normal dualshock 3 to act as the xperia play's controllers? We just need to pair the dualshock controller and the phone together via Bluetooth, and remap those buttons. Is it possible?
That is already possible, this one works with most android devices, check it out dancingpixelstudios.com, and see if that is what your talking about. if it is thank me
But will the xperia play optimized app recognize the controller as the d-pad on xperia play and use the sixaxis controller as the xperia play's d-pad?

All digital buttons can be directly mapped to the Xperia Play buttons via 'Preferences->Input Mappings->1st Controller mappings', and binding to the 'd-pad' and the keys at the bottom of the list named 'BUTTON_X', 'BUTTON_Y', etc.
Unfortunately the touch pad will not work at this time.

It should be able to work, download it and try it, it wouldn't hurt to try. Just follow the directions, I think there's a video on the sit that shows how, let me know if it work after you try it.

I've successfully used the app WiimoteController 0.65 beta (developer=C.C.P. [email protected]) over bluetooth. I've only used it with FPSE (playstation emulator for android) and it works well.
i have the zeemote too. its working good with emulators but its not so sensitive bit hard to play supermario vor gbc but other games no problem
nice
I have my phone sync'd with a PS3 joystick via bluetooth .. you have to use your computer and set the bluetooth address of your phone manually to your joystick but after that it works awesome .. search for sixaxispair in the store

I ordered it while PowerA was giving it away for free, but processing and delivery is very slow.
Edit: It sucks and I should have sold it on eBay before I opened it.
Nice !
Hello everyone,
Is there a way to disable the build in sixaxis application on the sony tablet s? I want to use Sixaxis controller app in order to play modern combat 3 and 4. I already have it install but the original sixaxis feature onthe tablet s is interfering with it.

Try uninstalling the wirelessmanagerservice.apk I think the sixaxis app was made from a cracked version of our tablets controller service so it may work may not

Hi,
It is not a problem to play a game like MC4 with sixaxis controller, you just have to ignore the build factory sixaxis app on the tablet, and listen to the instructions in the sixaxis controller app : You have to use USB to connect the first time your sixaxis, and then it is done with bluetooth.
For me, it works perfectly. When I'm using sixaxis app, the build in sixaxis app of the tablet does not appear.
And, of course, your tablet must be rooted.
That's it, tell me if you still have problems with that.
Noob here, I just started playing roms on the Note and was wondering what everyone's preferred controller is for it?
I want to know too. I tried playing supermetroid with the onscreen controls and realized I was headed for a broken screen.

This.
Also pretty sure you can just use an OTG cable and use the controller perfectly fine for free without any apps. Not 100% on that but I know that ever since Ice Cream Sandwich I believe they implemented native support for controllers. Dualshock 3/Sixaxis controller being one of them.
Highly recommended, it works perfect for every emulator I play.
PS3 controller is best you only need sixsxis app if you want to play wireless and you have to be rooted to use wireless. If you use the cable it works as native controller.
The Moga is pretty solid. I like it.

Sixaxis is one of the best options as most others have said. If you have the PS3 controller, I would go this route.
I have the Moga controller and it doesn't work well with all emulators for me. With Gameloft games its great, but it can be laggy at times.
Another option is using a Wii Classic Controller Pro along with the Wiimote Controller app in the market. The app is free (the one by C.C.P [email protected]) and works great.
For now the PS3 with SIX axis is the best but in a few months this looks promising http://www.phonejoy.us/
Thanks guys! Went with ps3

Ps3 controller. Moga didn't play well with some games I played so I sent it back for a refund.

So the ps3 controller with the sixaxis app with work for all games? I have the Moga controller and it works just for a select amount of games that provides Moga compatibility and emulators. If someone can confirm that the sixaxis will work for all games, I willbsell this Moga to the highest bidder on Ebay.
The app has the ability to make custom maps via a screen shot so I suppose yes it would work on all games

Yes
If u want to play games using controller, i recomment u use the sixaxis app. It required the ps3 dualshock controller.
Imo sixaxis is much better because you can map anything to your controller. Even swipe gestures etc and you can even display a mouse pointer, to navigate certain things easier.
