I know I have found another post on this but mine is a bit different. The tiny white spot disappears in high brightness and reappears in low. Should i get in for warranty or is it not worth it?
Try the LCD Screen Test *#0*# and confirm your results.
You may need to be in a fully darkened room and allow time for eyes to adjust.
Take a screen shot by home + power (maybe home a fraction of a second before), saved on sdcard screen capture folder.

Anyone else notice that when tapping the top half the screen it feels like it's slight loose? I just activated it an hour ago :-\

Shake it it does the same sound.. I thought it was the screen but I'm thinking it's the lens in the camera clicking around.
I just posted about this in another thread but now I'm curious are only some phones doing this or is it just the way the phone is. It doesn't seem like a big a deal but for a $600 phone I would expect it not to rattle when I touch it
No noise or rattling on my phone..

try re-activating it. Also try a factory reset, should solve your loose screen problem.

Why is it that sometimes when I'm on the phone and I try to do something on screen it pops off and on. Then when the screen comes on I'll touch it and it goes off I'll hit power to bring screen back up as soon as I touch it again it turns back off. Has this every happen to anyone else so friggin irritating

You're too close to the proximity sensor. Don't put your finger near it.

Under the glass part of the phone in the top left corner. If you look at it in darkness it will kinda glow a feint red. Very hard to see under normal light as it blends into the black bezel.

When I'm browsing my phone, every once in a while, I get this greyish icon/dot appear in the notification bar, at the left.

This might be a stupid question but do you think you can take a pic or maybe use your phone while browsing and hope that you can video record it with some other camera and capture that grayish dot. It could be that you have a security software installed and everytime you browse it scans the website you're on. I could be wrong.
For me, when i view a pic on reddit sync, it shows up. I think it just is a way to declutter the notification bar, cause if you click it, it shows all the icons anyway. Any more info as to what you're doing when it happens?

I'll try to see if I can do that, the only security software installed on my phone is Cerbereus, which is more phone tracking than anything

In many apps, some that lock to landscape orientation and some that don't, I've been noticing that the upper left corner of the screen flashes and 'melts' colors together for a split second, then goes back to normal. That's the upper left in portrait, and the lower left/upper right in landscape. It doesn't do it with all apps, but it does with several and it is greatly annoying. Is anyone else having this problem? And if so, what's causing it?
I've been noticing that it mainly does it with ken magic's solitaire app, and with the stock messaging in all orientations.

I had seen a post regarding this a while ago. It seems there is a layer of glue that holds the capacitive layer the screen. If it starts to come unglued the result is that color banding you see. May want to take it back if still under warranty, doubt it will get better by itself if that is truly what is occurring.
Sent from my LG-E970 using xda app-developers app
If that's so, why does it only do it in landscape with certain apps?

I don't know, are both corners the same color in that app regardless of the orientation? If not, maybe it's more noticeable with certain colors. If so, then I don't know what to tell you. Sorry.

Simply, no. If you move from 4:3 (or 16:12, to clarify the point) resolution to 16:9, you will lose pixels since there's only 9 pixels vertical for every 16 horizontal instead of 12. And since we're already at the top end of the camera, we can't compensate that by adding horizontal pixels to keep the total amount same. So you will lose pixels if you want to take widescreen images, no matter what.
This is really bad for so called PHONE OF THE YEAR.
Is this feature added in any custom rom?

The average user and some of most advanced users don't care about this.
So just because it doesnt do what you want means it cant be the phone of the year.
Myself doesn't know what you talking about

Only solution is to use 6mp mode for widescreen photos. I use CameraZoomFX
Yes I think so, as its one of the basic feature which even every ordinary phone possess.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
The only solution with the stock camera app is to use 6MP or any resolution on the phone marked W. You cant use 8. So answer is a NO.
