Atrix back to stock - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi I was wondering if some one can help me get a stock firmware so I can install it on my atrix.
I have some dead spots and need to send to back in to Motorola.
Also do I install pudding first or after I install the firmware so I can hide the unlocked on boot up.
Thanks for your help in advance!
I currently have the dark side ROM installed.

Thanks ;-) Never mind I'll figure it out myself.
Thanks for the help though.

You don't flash pudding, that'll keep the unlock text. You flash the stock 2.3.4 sbf. Happy flashing

That's exactly what I'm download...thank you.

Shouldn't be flashing any sbf after unlocking bootloader. Flashing sbf is high risk for bricking.
You need to go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1163009
and flash a fruitcake build through CWM.

Will this also remove the unlocked on start up?

No it won't :/
People say it's not safe but I did it flawlessly before I sent mines in.

Just because you did doesn't make it safe!

Never said it was safe.

[Q] [BELL] Deleted .odex bloatware != Gingerblur

As known by most of you, removing any "bloatware" by means of deletion, such as Bell bloatware, will make it so that you are not capable of updating to gingerbread.
I did not know this prior to deleting my .odex files and rooting, sadly.
I had a simple question, what am I to do in this kind of situation? I've read here to flash a stock SBF and update it from there, however, I'm a bit weary of flashing my device for risk of bricking it. (Bought off Craigslist...rooted = no warranty)\
Any ideas xdaders?
Oh and I just finished a factory reset.
are you on 2.3.x or 2.2?
2.2, froyo.
Motoblur.
(2.3 backwards sbf flashing would = a brick )
Flash a fruitcake?
You should just flash the newest sbf. And flash a new rom such as cm7 that would perform even better. After unlocking the bootloader just flash cwm and if you really wanted you could flash a stock carrier rom.

Thank you freshlycutlawn, I'll look into flashing the newest sbf. This is relatively safe if all the procedures are followed, correct?
Yes, since you are on froyo pretty much all of the unlock sbf's will be newer and wont brick your phone, you only have to watch out for an older version. Other than that you should be good to go, let me know if you have any other questions especially since im on bell too. It was a bit more tricky to find all of the correct downloads and follow the right steps, but now i have done it and im sure the same way i did it would work for you. Best of luck.

That would be appreciated. I have been trying to find Bell files and other related information using the search function, but if you've already done that and are offering to help, might as well.
If you can private message me it, that'd be greatly appreciated.

Reverting from CM7 to Stock Atrix

To be honest, I am confused...
I have an Atrix that I just got a few days ago and its running CM7 (4.5.91 or whatever that is)
And I just wanna revert back to stock. Im gonna install "fruitcake" in just a minute but i'd rather just have a STOCK phone.
I looked into it and couldn't make up how to do it after reading.
Any help is appreciated. Just point me to a guide on how to do it or direct me.
Thanks,.. Seriously
Jhoopes517
first of all, 4.5.91 is the MOTOBlur versioning, not CM7....they are 2 completely different things.
secondly, fruitcakes is stock. not really sure what you are looking for....

When I go to settings on the phone and I scroll down to the bottom and look at system version, its on "4.5.91" BUT I know for a fact its running CM7
Fruitcake is Stock, BUT I want the phone to be fully reset to stock. No Custom Recovery, No Unlocked Bootloader. None of it.

thats too bad. once you have unlocked the bootloader there is no going back. once unlocked, always unlocked
what is the reason for wanting to get rid of everything? you can run a stock rom with the bootloader unlocked and custom recovery. those things do not inhibit or reduce functionality at all.
Not to doubt you, but exactly how are you convinced that you are running cm7? If you are showing 4.5.91 as system version then you are most definitely not on cm7.
Its the build #

you should have bought a new phone =P you're unlocked for life. not that it will affect you in any way if you choose not to use it.

Try
go look up zedomax on youtube hes gotta lotta root videos for SGS2 and roms too, he has a blog site as well
Max posts alot of root stuff for SGS2 i9100, Tmobile, sprint, etc.. he uses lotta tutorial videos seems to help out alot of my friends and myself too
---------- Post added at 07:07 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:32 AM ----------
www.galaxys2root.com
Btw this is the forum link, he has all the files u need as well
for SGS2 theres a root method using zerg rush which is relatively safe compared to odin.. no soft brick risks
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399
I know with other devices you use software to take advantage of an exploit to root and this process can be used on our SGS2 also but the Simplest method in my opinion is to flash (use Odin to install software from pc to phone) a rooted kernel which when done your good to go. Rooted and everything required installed and setup for you. 2 minutes.
Cfroot kernels are virtually stock kernels that have been rooted.
Once you are rooted your options are endless.
Enjoy.

Only way that I've ever seen to do this is to read the sticky notes that are on the top of the forum pages. Once those are all thoroughly read, you'll get a new page available to you that explains how to do this. Until you read each of the sticky posts, I'm afraid that information will forever be locked away out of reach.
Okay I read it I found that there's a I 777 bootloader for ics but before I put it in Odin PDA slot, I wanna ask you guys is it safe cause I'm afraid it might be bricked
your bootloader is fine. You have the correct BL and your phone is not bricked. Enjoy it as it sits right now.

This i9100 that appears on the boot slash screen was NOT caused by flashing the wrong boot loaders. please don't mess with your boot loaders until you know what you are doing. And you have no need to worry about your boot loaders for now.
Please continue to study the stickies - you will find the i9100 on the boot splash was caused by flashing a non stock kernel via either Odin or heimdall.

[Q] Bricked Tab3, Help**

Hello,
I successfully rooted my Galaxy Tab 3 (model sm-t110, if that matters), then made a huge mistake. Upon believing that i was going to sell it, i went to settings, and selected to reset phone, foolishly thinking it would take it back to factory/out-of-the-box condition. Now, when i attempt startup, the B&W logo appears repeatedly, followed by this screen with options:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
What is the best way to fix this? I prefer to go back to the rooted version, or whichever method is easiest!
Thanks for any help you guys can provide!

HELP!?
Lil' help please?!
Just point me in the right direction, anything!!
Thanks in advance!
You can download the stock firmware and flash it via Odin. That should restore it back to it's stock unrooted out of the box state

Hey, thanks for the reply.
Currently, i dont have access to a PC or laptop. I can borrow one from a friend, if needed...seems like it is a necessity, right??
Thanks again, and if there are any other tips you or anyone can provide, it would be MUCH appreciated!

Yes. You would need a Windows PC for ODin to work, and the Samsung drivers installed.

Not so familiar with chrome books, but I'm guessing, NO
Look around for jODIN3 , it's a web based solution for flashing Odin files...I know for a fact that it works on Mac and Linux..,
You might want to give it a shot and let us know if it works on a chrome book
Here's the link
