I have a galaxy tab 10.1 16gb with wifi and 3g, (GT-P7500)
Does that make it a 10.1v or a 10.1?

That would be a 10.1.
10.1v has a different design. Try google it and you will see the difference

well i actually did, and didn't find any page that clearly pointed to wich one is the "V" and wich one isn't
Hello, If it is a GT-P7500 then it is a 10.1
The 10.1v is thicker than the one without "v".

In pictures, the "v" is the one that doesn't look like yours or the ones shown on Samsung's websites.

I keep seeing here on xda comments regarding the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 10.1v and how they are not the same, but I have yet to locate any info as to why. What is the functional difference between the two?

I would guess the 10.1 v is the verizon version
My bad, for some reason I did not associate the lone word "linky" as a portal to expanded knowledge. Thank you for both of the links. I now know the difference between the two tablets.

Your in the wrong device section, this is not a Note tablet. Search google for "xda Galaxy NOTE N8000" and you should find your answers there.

What do you mean by not a note tablet? It clearly says Samsung Galaxy NOTE 10.1 on the box and its a tablet but I did google what you said and I am going to try it, finally someone answer's me...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, 10.1v > Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A <<<--- This is for the first gen Galaxy Tab (it is not a Note device). They are different tablets with different hardware. I can not comment on that video since it does not pertain to the Galaxy Tab, if you go to the link I just posted you will see why you are in the wrong section.
Edit: You are right in posting in the Q & A section, it just not the right device Q & A, just trying to make sure you get the right section so you will get correct advice that will not end up making your device an expensive paper weight....
Hi all i am new here i have rooted and installed many roms on my old galaxy s2 now i also want to root and install a rom on my new galaxy s4.
I am from the UK and i am led to believe that verizon is a american network however i have seen this rom and want to know if i can use it.

But with it saying verizon i am guessing it is for that network only? This is where i am confused.

Oh I see it all better now I looked on my laptop and been to the correct place for my phone and succesfully rooted my device.
