Hello Guys! I have few questions
There is already a method to root the HTC Rezound ?
If yes where can I find the instructions ?
There is any Cyanogenmod for this device ?
Thanks
This thread belongs in the General forum, not development.
No there is no CM9, it doesn't even exist in a stable form yet, no there is no perm root.
Edit: Also, you need to put [Q] in the front of the title, you are going to anger a lot of people.
If there was perm root wouldn't you think it would be stickied?

Haha, yes!..Also I missed the perm root goodness in the opening days..just back from deployment and I'm not exactly on top of my game yet..
I would love to see CM7 ported over first so we can at least have something to play with. I miss all the different cm7 themes.

What are the chances we see CM? It's a matter of time, right?
Since MIUI is being worked on, I think the kernel, libs, modules etc from that could be used to port CM from the TBOLT or something

If they change the architectural software structure of Ice-cream(2.4 or 3.1?) then no it would not upgrade, But I would bet a dollar the phone will be able to handle at least 2 or 3 more upgrades before software and apps will require a larger ram and duo core cpu
BTW way to the other posting....... froyo, gingerbread etc are the code names they gave each version of android....... 2.2, 2.3 etc

Well either you or he was confused. There's more than a couple Gingerbread themes out there, but thats all they are is themes. There is one EXPERIMENTAL Gingerbread build out, but as such, its not stable and could not be used daily.
Its being worked on, but Samsung has not even released the 2.2 source yet. When that happens, maybe some doors will be opened in that direction.
But as of right now there is NO stable Gingerbread rom, no matter what your friend told you. If there was you would have gotten actual help, instead of some of the less serious responses.

??????? If it wasn't currently locked or going to be released locked then HTC would say so, as this is giving them bad PR.
From the statement they released it undoubtedly wasn't going to be released unlocked....

Can the xtc clip not even unlock it because its suppose to unlock all bootloaders and devices up to date ?
There's a difference between locked and encrypted. The Evo3D bootloader is encrypted. Which requires cracking a 256 bit AES key. Anyone work for the NSA?

I feel your pain. But Cyanogen is on the way. MIUI will follow soon after that, I'm sure. No need to wait until the OTA comes out either. You can unlock your bootloader now, and install Gingerbread and a kernel right now! That should hold you off for awhile until CM7 gets released
Just remember. Patience is key right now.

I wonder if the root process will be as simple as the HTC One and One X?
I would think it would be similar, since the phones are so similar.
But what do I know. I'm not even close to being a dev.

I plan on getting this Evo, so hopefully it isn't a couple months before s-off and root is attained again. I would rather not have hindered development this time around.
