Force Closes on news apps only - G Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Every since switching over to Vegan7.1, I have had problems with only news applications force closing immediately. I am from MI, so it applies to Detroit News, Free Press and MLive. I have cleared their individual caches and data, reinstalled and still nothing. My guess is they think I am on another device and don't like the resolution? Any suggestions?

<Q> Download completed notification always reappears even after clearing

no idea why this happens. when i download something or update an app the completed notification randomly keeps reappearing even after clearing. i clear the notification and then 15 minutes or so later it reappears. keeps happening for days on end. the only way to stop the notifications is to go and clear app data.
this is inconvenient and stupid. why are these notifications reappearing after being cleared?
anyone else have this problem or have any idea how to fix it?
anyone Bueller ?
Is this with Android market aka Google play? Or amazon appstore? Either way try to go into settings and clear the application data and then do a reboot. Let us know if this solves it.

android market.
as i said the only way to clear it is to go in and clear app data. when i hit the x it clears but then just reappears again in a few hours. the only way to truly clear without reappearing is to clear app data which is unlike every other android device i've had

[Q] google currents continually crashing

Currents use to work perfectly and suddenly started crashing anytime I press on a sore I follow.
For see reason a couple still work perfectly but majority it starts to load then goes to desktop with the crash report window.
I am using a galaxy nexus with aokp m4 and Franco kernel. I have done a full wipe twice but the issue continues.
I have tried clearing data and clearing cache plus reinstalling the entire application.
Any help much appreciated.Google and CDs searching has given no information.
Anyone with any idea at all?

Maybe you can try to use logcat (adb logcat) while start Currents?
On the other hand, Android will automatically sync Current, is it possible one of the subscriptions will cause Currents to crash?

[Q] Falcon Pro issues

Ok here's the thing. I downloaded the new version of Falcon Pro (the one that is not available anymore on the play store), I did the procedure to find out how to have a token, everything was fine. Once I logged in the app closes itself. Anytime I open it, it stays opened like for 1-2 sec and then it closes. There's no crash log because, I think, it's not an actual crash. It works just fine from the widget: I can open the tweets from the widget, but if I try to open the main page of my feed (from anywhere, widget or other apps) it stays open for a moment and it crashes (or closes). In one of these moments I have been that fast to be able to tap on settings and send a bug report to the developer. I tried already to reinstall the app, clean the cache, clean app's data, fix permissions, clean dalvik cache, uninstall other twitter apps... nothing worked!
Any ideas?
PS: I don't if I was clear enough; long story short: the problem seems to be related just to the main page!
PS2: I am on CM 10.1-20130720-NIGHTLY-i9100

It happens to me too. Please help!!!
Best bet would be to ask the developer directly (on Twitter).

Message Notifier Pro does not work since yesterday? And cannot open Do Not Disturb...

- So I have this app called "message notifier pro". I use(d?) it to get notified for important emails, even in Do Not Disturb. It worked absolutely perfect for weeks.
No phone update happened in the past few days, only apps updated left and right and that's about it.
Tried clearing out data for the app and all, but no help. Tried clearing cache too. But no luck.
- Now, I tried to open the Do Not Disturb settings in my phone, but it just does not happen. It loads, and throws me back to settings.
Any clues?
Really hope I don't have to wipe my phone clean.

cache corruption after app opening

All apps, after one opening (meaning reading or browsing for some article) gets corrupted cache. on the second opening of the app nothing shows, it just repeat some random GUI asset over and over again.
if I then close the app, clear the cache and reopen it all seems to work fine.
This is not isolated to one app in particular, spanning from Google (after one search from the home screen I have to clear the cache or I can't search for anything else);
The Guardian, The NYTimes etc.
