X10 mini bluetooth car kit - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Hello,
I'm looking for a compatible with our x10 mini bluetooth car kit. Not the ones connected to radio through cables. The stand alone one's. Has anybody any sugestions?

I've had my phone connected to a garmin gps device with no problems and also connected to dads headunit (Kenwood KDC-BT30) in his car which is bluetooth enabled.
The head unit solution is really nice, no extra wires. bluetooth is built into the radio

Bluetooth on two devices, Carkit and headset

Hi , Can you please help. I have a parrot 3000 car kit and my xda2 works perfect except for the volume. I also have a jabra bt200 works perfect also. But the Problem is that I can only set up one bluetooth Device on the xda2. The problem is I can only use one of these devices as bonded. If I have the headset bonded it works fine. But if I have the car kit bonded also it wont work with either even if the headset is off. I know you cant use two devices at the same time, But it only appears to work with one or the other. I have the headset set up for headset on the xda 2. But if I try to bond with the car kit it asks to set it as a headset also. If I am in the car I need the car kit to operate with the phone, When I get out of the car and switch on the headset I need it to work while I am walking around. I would be most grateful if anyone can help. I hope ihave explained it properly. Thanks
Same pronblem with different peripherals
HI all,
I have the same problem with differents peripherals, I have a Parrot CK 3000 (I'm very happy with this) and a Fortuna GPS and i would like to know if there is a way in order to configure my XDAII in order to be connected to the Parrot and to use the GPS.
Thanks
I have just downloaded this piece of software that allows you to have up to 9 devices working at the same time..... give it a try...

Two bluetooth devices at once - gps and audio headset

Is this possible? I am trying to decide what gps to get - a wired sucker and cradle type with gps built in and a connection at the bottom of the BA, or a bluetooth one.
I use a bluetooth headset as well when driving you see...
All advice appreciated.

These are what I am looking at buying.
I see you were asking about the Blue Angel, that I can't answer you unfortunately, but I'm using the Magician with BT GPS (Swedish BLUEi device) and the Jabra BT330 headset simultaneously in the car, chatting on the phone while finding my way with Tomtom 5. Works like charm! Since I haven't been using the Blue Angel I don't know if it's using the same BT stack (Microsoft's own)
I use the Brodit active holder and hooked up a little cable-splitter charging the GPS and Magician through the same +5v USB supply. The GPS is on top of the dashboard with the discrete wiring down to the splitter. Had to modify the GPS to make it startup by the ignition, phew...
Anyway, hope this could be of any help though... cheerio

To answer, i'm using Qtek9090 with headset, while bluetooth activesync. And when i'm in my car, i use my bluetooth gps with my headset at the time with no issues.
joebongo...
to answer your question - yes you can use a bluetooth headset simulataneously with a GPS receiver. This works because the connection on both devices is establised on seperate I/O channels hence there is no interference. Globalsat BT338 + tomtom is a worthwhile combo trust me..
hope this helps

No problem here connected to a Fortuna Clip-on BT GPS and a Parrot CK3000 with my Blue Angel. It was recommended to me to get the GPS and phone connected before the starting the car (which starts the car kit).
Thanks for the replies.
After I discovered the same popping on mp3 playback, this BA went back to the O2 shop (second one I have had), my contract cancelled as it was in the trial period, and I am now waiting for the universal (XDA exec, MDA Pro) to come out in a couple of weeks.
See you there.

FM transmitter for TyTN

Hi,
My Vario II justification to the misses was that we'd be able to listen to music in the car with it (our CD player is dead).
Has anyone come across an FM transmitter that you can power from the car cigar lighter and plug directly into the mini usb socket on the TyTN?
Cheers,
Steve.
I'm looking for the same thing
I bought a SONY MEX5000 BT stereo that uses Bluetooth streaming. It is so cool! much better quality(sound) then the radio ones. I dont carry CDs anymore just everything over BT with MP3s.

and how to connect ?
--> no way @ this moment ...
Try Nokia HS-12W. Google to see how it looks like.
It is a bluetooth Stereo Headset which you can listen to MP3 played from Tytn.
It is also a standalone FM Radio by itself without the Tytn at all.
I have one, cool.
Hi and is there a bluetooth receiver taht one can plug into a stereo ?
HS-12W is a Wireless (no wire between it and phone) Stereo Headphone via Bluetooth with Build in FM Radio.
What I meant about the bluetooth reciever is if there is one that tha pda streams music and is recieved by a device that can be plugged into the home stereo, same principle as a headset only differance is that it'll go to speakers.....hop I made it clearer this time... or maybe it's that I am not gettin it jaja
You are refering to Home Stereo Hi-Fi Amplifier/Receiver to speakers. Well it is something I was thinking about some years ago when I first read the white paper on Bluetooth v2.0 A2DP Profile.
But Hi-Fi industry in term of following latest trend is normally a little slower than the computer & mobile industry. So far, not that I know of that there is a build in Bluetooth Hi-Fi system including speakers. Maybe it is time to do a google on this topic, it would be good if there is such solution to get rid of the messy wire connections.
I do know that there is such thing as Bluetooth Donger, which is a bluetooth device with a headphone jack and you can plug the headphone jack into the Hi-Fi headphone jack and bingo you have wireless music with you wireless headphone, but bluetooth is quite subject to surrounding interfence, so you may have broken music in your ears.
The is also some not so good old technology using Infra-Red. The better ones are the wireless headphone sets using RF frequency which you can listen to music even you and your hi-fi are in different room.
Hope I got your question right this time.
Hey CWKJ,
Thanx for your reply. Look at the following link:

It's a bluetooth speaker, but what I am looking for is something that can make any car home stereo into a bluetooth reciever...
You mean something like the Tunestage II for the iPOD?
http://www.techdigest.tv/2006/10/belkins_tunesta.html
I'm looking for something similar that will plug into a car stereo - i.e. a bluetooth receiver which will plug into the external input of my car stereo, so I can stream to it from my TyTN - anyone know of anything?
PS Yes, I have seen the Parrot MK6000, but I don't think its out until Q1 2007....
BINGO!! Yes like this, only that you don't need the transmitter (tytyn would be it!).
check out the I-Tech S35 clip. A2DP receiver with a 5mm headset jack. You can cable this to your car with an adaptor cable. The I-Tech doesn't skip either!
Yes! this seems to work! jajaj do you actually use it? or know of someone that has used it with this purpose?
Once again thank you for your responses!
I've not used it myself for this purpose. I've no doubt that it will work though. What I am interested in is the usable range. The applicaton I have in mind will require 4-5 meter range from the I-Tech device to my TyTN.

Ok, you are talking about car hi-fi system, the speaker looks good.
For Home hi-fi system, maybe there isn't bluetooth audiophile speaker yet.
For the car hi-fi system, there are some with the audio output (the Left - Right or White - Red cable build-in type audio output cable). Buy another cable adaptor (Left - Right/White - Red to stereo headphone cable) and the Bluetooth Donger, connect them up and you will have the audio on you bluetooth speaker. Hope this works!
Hey! look at this:

Sony always has great product.
November 18 in Japan? If so, wondering when it will be available in other parts of the world?
I already found some for sale in ebay!! wow!

USB connection to car stereo

I am currently connecting my TC to the car stereo through one of those casettes that have an audio jack connection and the YC A120 cable. The problem with this solution is that I get a lot of annoying noise when the phone is lloking for a cell signal.
So I thought about buyinng one of those car stereos that have a frontal USB port for aux connection. I went to a shop recently and tried one out ad to my surprise I could not get it to work with the TC, it would seem that there is no audio output. Has anyone been able to connect their TC to the car stereo in this way? The salesman demonstrated that the stereo connnection did work by connection his Nokia phone and it work fine. One thing I did notice was that the Nokia phone displayed a message "transfering data" as teh music was playing.
I don't want to buy a bluletooth car stereo since I am looking at changing my car soon. So the other option is to buy a car stereo with a frontal audio 3.5 jack aux connection, but i was wondering whx the USB did not work.
I think you must try WM5TORAGE ... you must plug a USB key on the USB port, so if you install and activate WM5TORAGE, your POLARIS seems like a USB storage and your autoradio can scan your folder on your storage card.
I don't test but i think it will work.
Greg O is correct, the USB input on car stereos works only for mass storage. WM phones don't support mass storage natively you must use a program like WM5 Storage (which incidentally doesn't work at all with the TC) or CardExport. But its prob better to either go the bluetooth or 3.5mm aux in route. Or if you really wanna do the USB thing, I would probably rather remove miniSD card from the phone and load it on the car using a USB miniSD card reader than use WM5 Storage.
FYI: Your new car won't support A2DP stock, no cars do so currently, so you'll probably want to transfer over the aftermarket radio you buy.
I used a usb mini to 3.5mm jack converter then used a 3.5mm jack to 2 RCA cable to connect to the aux in my stereo.
Becuase the usb mini to 3.5mm jack converter has a mike in as well I can use this setup for hands free use over the car speakers.
You have another solution :
Parrot MK6100 or IO Play ... you play music on your TC and music is transmit to your autoradio via stereo bluetooth A2DP !! No cable !
and you have a great handfree system... I think I will buy one of this system in the future.
I have just fitted an LG LAC7700R CD/ Radio which has a front mounted 3,5MM socket but it also sports Bluetooth A2DP along with other modes. It connects to my Orbit 2 with no problems and plays music without any wires - sounds great, just a shame its not the best looking deck available, but for £124 new its not bad at all - Mke

works excellent with the TC and not expensive.

[Q] Streaming music via bluetooth on Mygig nav/radio

Anyone been successful in streaming music/audio books from the ATT GS2 to their Mygig nav/radio system (I have a 2011 Dodge Nitro, latest firmware)?
The Captivate did not work correctly either. :/
I have a 3.5mm jack but Bluetooth should work dang it!
Cy
if u want wireless music, here is a solution which is what im doing in my 2006 bmw 325xi.
i have a 3.5mm audio input, so i bought a bluetooth audio receiver and plugged it into the 3.5mm slot in my armrest and there is a 12v power input there too, so i have everything inside my armrest plugged in and then my phone is transmitting to the receiver and bam wireless audio in my car!
might not be an ideal situation for you, but this is how im doing it. although i do have bluetooth integrated into my stock head unit, but its for only phone calls, i tried to use some apps found in the market that stream to mono bluetooth headsets (ear piece) i assumed it would of worked in my car, but no luck :/
so i hope this helps!
