[MOD](12.12) Touchwiz4 for twgb based roms (sc only atm) - Fascinate Android Development

I decided to move all the touchwiz 4 stuff to its own thread as it was (at least to me) distracting from superclean a bit
I will post the widgets/apps/launcher here, and will try and make a version for any other tw roms people use (framework.jar has to be modded and depending on other mods in it by devs this package is only intended for use on superclean atm)
not everyone likes touchwiz4, but I personally do and several hundred downloads of whatever is put out for it mean its worth continuing I suppose.

-please do not click on the ffc icon in the left dockbar, it will force close or hot boot if you do so!
-to remove it, long press on it and the settings menu you will come up, drag it into there
-you can add other options from setting menu to left dockbar

edit: It doesn't break google voice search or voice search in car dock, it toggles the voice input setting to vlingo instead of google. To "fix" go in to settings>voice input & output>voice recognition> and then change it from vlingo back to google. (thanks Monkeyzzzzz for the workaround!)

I flashed the zip v2_touchwiz4_launcher.zip and I still have the 5x5 app drawer. Did I flash the wrong one?

Is there a TW4 Calendar Widget?
I recall seeing a calendar widget in a screenshot somewhere and thinking it looked nice but I can't remember for sure if it was from TW4 or after-market.

there is a gs2 calender widget that mostly works, its just not in the included package...i have a few more things working (that and gs2 task app) for the next version...should be up tonight or tomorrow

Decided to play around with EH03 a bit again so installed SC and this...
...*very* nice. Having some issues with Nav, but seems to work fine if I go into it via "Places". Well done, man. I think it'll stick for a day or two (I cannot seem to stay on any single ROM for more than 3 days, tops....)

Vlingo and Google Voice Search

It doesn't break google voice search or voice search in car dock, it toggles the voice input setting to vlingo instead of google. To "fix" go in to settings>voice input & output>voice recognition> and then change it from vlingo back to google.
I love Vlingo and this built in Samsung Vlingo is so cool. Love it!!!! Thanks for making TWGB so nice on our phones.
I don't really get a chance to contribute on the forums, everyone is so far ahead of me. I hope this helps a little.

I discovered this because I noticed that setting is always google, but when I was running MIUI and had Vlingo installed (maybe before I installed voice search), that changed it to vlingo, but then I had the option to choose whichever. I think when u install the vlingo app from market it just uses its own voice recognition in the app itself so it won't affect the google voice. My friend has an EVO and google voice can't hear anything if there is even the slightest background noise, no matter how close you are or clearly speak into the mic. But vlingo works fine. Ok I'm new to participating in forum discussions, feel like I'm rambling... but after reading through some of the posts on Enyo's bada kernel, maybe that's not even possible.

More people should really be using this rom...
Nijtistu, would you essentially say that there is not much difference at all compared to this rom and the rom the S2 uses?
Putting the hardware differences aside, Gingerbread with the S2 launcher should most definitely put this rom as the best thing the S1 could have!
Or... is this launcher more like a skin that has puts it's performance the same as the other launchers?

well this just takes as much as possible from the gs2 that is backwards compatible to our phones
the launcher wont perform as well as it will natively on the gs2 (hardware diffs) but its not laggy like pre tw3 launchers were and has a lot more features built in
there are some thing i cant (and havent seen anyone else get) working such as native tw theming
and i have yet to get video editor to work
gs2 lockscreen is included in tsm parts which is in resurrection (and eh03 version hopefully out soon)
we have a mostly working gs2 camera as well (except it force closes if you try and use ffc) that i guess i could post in here as well

Out of curiosity this Touchwiz 4, will phone become slower? how is performance overall compared to the one on Superclean? I am curious to try it, and if I don't like it, best way is reflash superclean again?
