Motorola ATRIX MB860 Brazil version...question - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I have Motorola
I can get Brasil ver. of Motorola
ATRIX MB860 16GB ,can i flesh it with any other firmware for EU(serbia) sim using?
Thannks

The Brasilian atrix will have a oficial gingerbread 2.3.5 rom update on this december, so wait for the oficial rom, or install CM7?
The only one that you cannot install is the AT&T one, the orageFR and UK are ok

So you think I can use it with unlocking and flashing in Serbia?

Hi,
I saw that Brazilian atrix cannot be flashed with AT&T Firmwares.
But what about AT&T Atrix, Does it has some limitation as Brazilian ones?
e.g. Can I flash Firmware from Brazil and apply a ROM after that?
Thanks for you time.

Bump!
Guys can anyone help pls,i can get Atrix on VIVO Brasilian network locked,
if anyone knows how to unlock it and make it to work on my network(Serbia EU)

Who sold you that device? Do you have the sim card for vivo? In Brasil phone companies are required to unlock phones for no charge and on request. Vivo had, don't know if still does, an online unlocking service. It is for registered customers only though. Check it out.
Otherwise there is no soft unlocking method for this phone. Why don't you google something like "motorola atrix vivo unlock" as I did and look at the websites selling codes. At least 3 turned up in my 10 second search, one seemed reputable. If you can't get it from vivo, this is the only way to get it.

Ne moze se otkljucati brale, i ja sam pomislio da ga kupim kada sam video primamljivu cenu na mobilnom svetu i malo se raspitao.

No you cant carrier unlock it. Don't buy that phone.

Vivo sell their phones sim locked with 1 year line contracts. If its out of this period and you can take that phone to a vivo reseller, they have the obligation by law to sim unlock it. If its in the contract period, you still can have it unlocked if you pay the fee for that or if you by the code (look at mercadolivre.com.br, there's probably someone selling codes).

hd2 sim unlock

hi all. i will buy tomorrow an hd2 which is locked on vodafone Romania. can you tell me if there is a sim unlock for free? if it's not, which website or "way" is safer to use it for unlocking? also, if you know a cheaper one i don't mind . I need to be unlocked fast (let's say in 1h after i pay, maximum). Thank you very much.
P.S. i've tried to search on hd2 thread but didn't find nothing about this.
that should be possible
search how to preform a HSPL install and how to update ROM
There is no free sim unlock solution , hspl install does not unlock sim .
Contact korter_gsm on ebay
He sent me a code in less than 2 minutes.
ok. i will contact him.
i saw now his posts, but a little problem that i have is that I don't need to unlock T-mobile version, but European version (vodafone romania). do you know any other place?
P.S. does anybody know something about this website?
or about this website?
HI there. Its korter_GSM from Ebay.
Regarding Vodafone Romania HD2 want to tell you. I have all HD2 codes including newest ones with IMEI 038 and 039 in the middle. But as you may already read somewhere, there are some operators that relocked the phones after receiving them from factory. So as we are providing only Factory codes, for some operators it may be wrong. Tmobile USA and many other operators dont have this issue and code for them are 100% correct. For Vodafone Romania i never checked.
for example. For A1 Austria Factory codes are wrong!
If any other question, contact me at Email [email protected]
or MSN [email protected]
i've made it in Romania, with 25 euro. thx all!

Will an update sim-lock my phone?

Hello, the thing is that I have a Motorola Atrix 4G from Claro, Nicaragua with Froyo. Claro doesn't have released the official GB update. So I was wondering, is there any other way to update to GB? The phone is locked, I just can used with Claro network, and I don't want to pay to unlock it. Will a custom rom totally lock the phone?
Thank you!
Generally It shoud not .
update
Hi there, i agree the update should not simlock your phone to a specific network again, i have a Desire Hd that was originally on the Orange uk network, i currently use the vodafone uk network and have a had at least 12 different custom roms each having completely wiped the phone before install. hope this helps.

[Q] AT&T Xperia X10 Gingerbread Update for a X10 Unlocked By AT&T

My friend had the an unfortunate but common experience with his X10.
Its an at&r version, and he finally got the 2.1 update only to see "X10 gets gingerbread" plastered all over every android news site. After calling at&t and Sony Ericson, and after being transferred to manager and manager, they emailed him instructions on how to "unlock" his phone to get the gingerbread update.
In the instructions, it tells him that he needs a sim from another carrier. The problem is, in our area, only at&t and Verizon are prevalent. From my old Nokia days, I thought an unlock code was an unlock code. You unlocked the code and then were free to use it on any sim supported carrier with a device with compatible frequencies. I've never actually heard of an unlock that required an alternative sim to complete the unlock process. Nor have I heard of a phone that after it was unlocked, would receive an update.
Is this true? If it is, we have no chance at doing this the legit way. Which method of root, and which ROM would give us the easiest time, and the closest to stock experience. He isn't necessarily the techiest, but loves Sony. Were not necessarily looking for the most features, but would greatly appreciate if he could upgrade to gingerbread.
I'm not an expert by any means, but I have rooted, flashed, and installed ICS and customs rooms on my Transformer mainly using Clockwork Recovery. I've also rooted, flashed a custom over clock kernel, and pushed modified files over ADB on my AT&T Galaxy Note, released a mere fees days ago. This should give you an idea of our experience level.
There are dozens of Roms and sites with tutorials, but they're all convoluted and don't take into account the presence of other methods and rom to explain why their's is better. They also don't tell us when they're outdated.
So, to the point, and to sum it all up: does this sum unlock allow for a blessed OTA update? If we actually need another carriers sim, were out of luck. In that case, which method and rom would be easiest to root, and then flash. Is a from like cyanogenmod (seemingly the go to for handsets) available? I don't have a Rosetta stone for X10 roms , recoveries, and root methods.
Thanks very much.
At&t has no plans on releasing 2.3 I have no idea what an unlock code has to do with an update.
I upgraded my att stock x10 2.1 to 2.3 without a problem. I flashed using the North American 2.3 found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=936733 You'll have to look at all the pages to find a working download.
I also got the flash tool from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
If you need a guide on flashing your phone look at this thread

Flash Lumia 520 rm-915 with a rm-914 rom?

Hi there,
Recently I've stayed in US for a short trip and I bought to my sister an AT&T Lumia 520 gophone. I did sim unlock but I want to unbrand the phone also.
The phone has RM-915 ID, I have found Spanish country variant (EU ES CV) but only for RM-914. Could I flash the phone with rm-914?
I tried this afternoon with Nokia Care but I got an error about signatures of the fw. I use "normal" mode, and I want to ask before use "dead phone" mode and brick the phone.
In case that I cant flash with rm915 I will flash to AU CV or IL CV (Israel) to unbrand the phone, but that will be a pitty becasu she use a mvno and au or il fw probably don't include Spanish mvno mcc... and shows always as roaming...
Thanks,
regards, iker
