I just finished getting 1% battery increments for 2.3.5. The zip is a simple uot kitchen theme with an edited services.jar to incorporate 1% battery. Thanks to mastafunk for the pulldown toggles, and all the other countless people who wrote the many threads I've read to figure this out.
To install simply flash in bsr like every other flashable zip.
You must be deodexed!
Tested to work on 1.3.413 version 2.3.5
Please let me know if it works on 1.3.412, I'm sure it does.
I can try to make a flashable deodexed and debloated system/app and system/framework if you need.
Although I'm confident that this won't mess up your phone, I'm not responsible for your decision to flash it.
Have fun!

I suggest flashing balltongues mash up build prop as well. It not only has necessary edits if you aren't comfortable with making them yourself, it also boosts the overall performance of the phone.
That's good stuff caden...
thanks for sharing your efforts..im sure a lot of people will like this.
if I was on 2.3.5 id be all over it.
Did anyone ever get this up an going for 2.3.4 at all? I wonder if this would work for 2.3.4....I know people we're looking for stock rooted 2.3.4 1%increments...
Thanks ash! I can get one going for 2.3.4 if I could get the services.jar out of framework.

This is the services.jar from 2.3.4 BUT I am running eclipse 1.3....I don't knownif that makes a difference or not
That one will already have the edit. It may work to just flash that into stock deodexed 2.3.4 if not the edit has to be done to the stock services.jar

I just quickly threw together one of these for the DX2 cuz i hate hot seeing my battery percentage or using a tacky 3rd party app. The battery only reads in increments of (edit:10%). You must have a custom recovery to flash this zip and you must have gingerbread also!
UPDATED 8/7 please download lastest version for working 10%increments
causes volume notification to read inaccurately when adjusting volumes(no idea why this happens)
to restore to factory settings flash the factorybatt.zip
Flashed now how do I get it to take the place of the old one?
Thanks! worked perfect...
Can it be confirmed that this does 5% increments?
(stock does 10% unless under 20%, then it does 5%)?
Don't mean to be picky, just asking from those who flashed?
Thanks and good work on this.
awesome, works great
Doesn't do 5percent
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA Premium App
Awesome man thanks I hated the stock one I could never really tell how much I had left and I don't like having a million things in the notification bar
X2RGB
One thing I did notice is you must choose between this and crt animation you can't have both
X2RGB
oh thats why then ^
Actually now, it seems its dropping in %20 increments

the framework-res.apk for x2 gingerbread has stat_sys_battery_100png, 95png, 80png, 75png etc so i swapped images for 5% increments. I dont know why its not working that way. I realize motorola reads in 10% but theres an app on the market that can read the X2 in 1%increments so i dont think that matters i dunno
Installed it on my x2, works great. My only wish is that it was accurate to 1% instead of 10, but I know that's not your fault, it's Motorola's.
Thanks.

Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA App
I've been searching for something like this! I don't like not being able to see my volume leves and was noticing a few other hiccups with the new 10% version, so I flashed back to the one that only displays 20% increments, hopefully only temporarily though.
Boot loop
I tried to flash this mod and it sent my phone into a boot loop! I had to sbf back to 2.2 and then update again.
Im guessing this wasnt testing on the p3 rooted gingerbread?

So ive been checking the theme/app section just about everyday hoping that someone would make a flashable zip for these mods and there looks like there hasn't been progress or advances in trying to. Now i know there are other threads asking the same for these mods but there hasnt been much activity in them.most threads where answered with apps so basically what im asking is, is there a dev that is willing to work up mods for a accurate battery percentage in notification bar as well as setting toggles in pull down. Thanks

Yeah, man sorry I haven't made much progress with the 1% mod there, I'm try to read the Atrix forums for help and researching, but haven't had a lot of time. Maybe you can assist?
Back when I had the HTC Hero I had done a %battery mod for it. It was pretty easy afaik but I don't remember how to do it... I could try and look into it though

I really appreciate the help here. Just to start, I went through UOT to grab a file that I could zip. I was thinking of decompiling the framework apk's and modding the stats_sys_battery.xml file, recompiling, and rezipping it up and then flashing that. I wasn't sure if that was going to work, but I'm a noob, so it was my first crack at it.
Best,

ok guys here is your accurate battery mod. Please test it out and let me know if it works. I am not sure if the zip will flash correctly on your phone but if not just take the files out and push them and set permissions. I do not own a photon so I cannot test this out.
First boot will take longer than normal.

For reals tho. It is getting frustrating EVEN for ME. To keep answering the question "how come rom toolbox messed up my x2"
OP. Only a small handful of options work for rom toolbox/rom manager for us.
I would stay away from them until you see some official statement from jrummy saying we have full support. Unless you like to practice sbf'ing tho

Not accurate. ROM manager is what you stay away from. ROM toolbox works great! Most all of it works except the cpu settings. OP - If you're running stock, do u even have the init.d hack installed in order for some of the values to stick?
Edit: I just changed my battery icon earlier and had no issues w/ losing contacts. I've flashed boot anis just fine, changed the font, no themes available yet but i think that well require you running liberty ROM, i believe.
Sent from my DROID X2 using xda premium
Ya I've heard the rom manager doesn't work for us but see all kinds of people using rom toolbox. Does anyone know which options in there I should stay away from. I wonder if liberty has anything to do with you not loosing your contacts for battery icon change. I changed mine twice and it did it both times.

Viskey, it could be b/c you're running stock. For sysctl values to stick you will need to flash navens init.d hack or flash a ROM w/ init.d preinstalled. My experience w/ Toolbox is if it's not supported or needs a dependency then it tells you. At that pt, proceed w/ caution.

One more time. You cannot use Rom toolbox on a stock rom, unless you're rooted. If you're not rooted, it causes the contacts to be erased, and wallpaper will be reset, but that happends anyway. Also rom toolbox is for liberty Rom or any custom rom only.

I am rooted but thanks. And you can use rom toolbox with the stock rom but a lot of dev include it in their custom rom's because of the functionality it adds. No need to get hasty...

Overview:
This is basically a ROM I made when I was bored.
It is based off of Pepperm1nt's [ROM][GB 2.3.4]GingerBread Phone 7 v0.4
I replaced some of the apps with MIUI apps such as
MIUI launcher
MIUI Music
MIUI Browser
I am not sure this ROM will work or flash so flash at your own risk
I am not responsible for any damage to your phone. Use at your own discretion
How to install
Must be on 2.3.4 NOT 2.3.5
Install bootstrap
Reboot into bootstrap recovery
Wipe data/cache
Flash this ROM

Sounds a little weird. No pics of screenshots or even tested? Based off someone elses rom without even asking first. Althoug he did give proper credit and did not try to act like it was his own. I appreciate all development for this phone but have to admit this is a first for me to see The OP even states not sure if this will work lol. Does not give you that warm fuzzy feeling and anxious to flash something new.

I dont mind doing a sbf. Did plenty when I was getting to eclipse 2.02 when I had root keeper on my phone I do not mean to bash anyone it is just weird the OP says he is not sure if it will work. Also the title I thought was a little misleading thought this was a MIUI rom.
Seems odd to complain about someone cooking up a new option for a phone with so little support. Regardless of the nature of that option, or what you experienced on another phones dev thread.
Thanks Jay, though I wont be using your work its nice to see people working with the x2. And incorporating miui apps / miui lookalike apps is a neat idea for miui fans who can't flash it due to a pesky locked bootloader.
And, I know none of you fine folks intended to come off as ungrateful or complainy (its my word don't steal it ). Its easy for things to be misinterpreted, between thinking about what you want to post, posting, and someone else reading your post with none of the vocal expression you had in mind.

Only problem with this is they may also have an .odex file being that you want a LWP from a stock build. If I can find a deodexed build of stock than I'll pull em for you. I have a few Nandroid backups of stock that I could pull them from and probably just deodex them myself. Not near a computer at the moment tho...
