[Q] Galaxy Player 4.0 Work with icontrolpad - Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, 5.0

i was wondering if the icontrolpad bluetooth game controller from the openpandora team works with the galaxy wifi 4.0 us version. To have emulators and better controls this would be the main reason for buying this device and i was wondering if anyone has tested it yet.

i don't see any reason it wouldn't work. if you already own a ps3 or wii controller i would recommend trying those first.
i have my ps3 controller paired with my nook color all the time, and it works great. i haven't tried it on the galaxy player 5.0 yet.

[Q] Is there any kernel that allows the wii controller to connect yet?

I loved using my wii controller to play games, controll grooveshark and remote controll my camera on my htc hd2. But can we do it on the S2? Cognition rom so far does not work with my controller. Does anyone know of a rom that does?

Im hoping for this aswell. The Wii controller or the PS3 controller, mainly to controll some emulators.
Now that it has been a month after this post, has there been any progress on this issue? I would really love to use my Wiimote with the G SII.
I saw a thread just before about a guy on Miui with a wiimote.

is this the same protocol thats required for the ps3 controller? if it is does anyone know if its now possible to do this on a SGSII??
I guess it will work with any cm7 based mod, as cm7 bluetooth stack is compatible with the wii/ps3 controllers, is that right?
Yes CM7 should work fine.
Wii Remote Galaxy S2
Ok I have the sprint version of the S2 the Epic 4g touch and I was able to get a wii mote to sync with it for my super nintendo emulator and Roms. It's pretty fantastic and much more enjoyable than playing with a ps3 controller... At least I like it more. I am running the Calkuins.E4GT.ROM.v2.9.2 with kernel: 2.6.35.7-sph-D710.EL29-CL852097
I accidentally found out you can do this but with the snes9x ex emulator for droid and the sixaxis app installed the "search for wiimote" in the emulator will work. Before I had the sixaxis app installed it would say my device wasn't supported and from everything I've read it was because of the samsung bluetooth stacks. I'm guessing that the app fixes the stacks or finds a backdoor for it to work.

[Q] Which game pad is recommended?

Which game controller do you recommend? I'm mainly looking to use it on my tab for emulators and whatever android games are compatible with a controller.
I was looking at a sixaxis just because it looks like it can connect wirelessly with the app but I'd be willing to buy a USB connector and flash a kernel to make a controller compatible. Also I don't know if the dual shock 3 controller works with the sixaxis app. (I'm not sure if that's an entirely different thing)
I guess I'm mainly wondering which controller is most compatible, meaning full joy stick control and things like that.
Thanks if you can help me out!
I'm currently using my PS3 controller with the new Sixaxis App from the store. All you need is Root access and to pair your PS3 controller with a PC to tell it what your tablets Bluetooth MAC address is and it should work. I've been using it ever since with all my emulators and it works like it's supposed to.
There is also an app from the same dev to test if the controller works with your device but if its a GT 10.1 and a regular PS3 controller there shouldn't be an issue.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
If not I'm probably going to grab a sixaxis but I want to be sure I'm getting the best since I'm not tied down to a controller for a console I already own.
Thanks
There is already another Q & A thread started by me from a while ago where some people listed a few alternatives. Just search the Q & A forum or check the first few pages and you will find the thread. Since I already own a PS3 and the other controllers aren't that available in my country it was an easy choice for me. Hope that helps.

Bluetooth Controller?!

Hey there,
I was wondering if anyone of you ever tried to get a bluetooth controller working on your Jetstream.
I`ve just tried to connect my PS3 controller to the Jetstream via Bluetooth and OTG... with no luck.
Is its just an issue of Android 3.x or a HTC thing.... or maybe a combination !
Tested with SixAxis compatibility Checker and Bluez IME.
Did anyone of you get it managed?! :fingers-crossed:
I thinks it would be pretty cool to play Zelda OoT on the Jetstream with a real controller... but with the virtual keyboard its very annoying.
Thank you guys!
I read somewhere that Sixaxis and HTC in general can't be friends. I've tried pairing a Sixaxis with a few HTC machines, including my Jetstream, and it just won't happen.
However, I've been using a Phonejoy Bluetooth controller with BlueZ IME, and it's been working alright. There's an app called Gamepad Enabler that, when used in conjunction with BlueZ IME, gives you full analog support.
Haven't been able to make it work with Gameloft games yet, since touch emulation has been a pain to get to work on the Jetstream. Another app called Game Keyboard seems to be doing semi-alright, though. Haven't tested extensively, yet.

WORKING: Xbox One S Controller

I Was feeling experimental with controllers and wanted to see if I could pair my Xbox One S controller to my Nexus Player, Worked without a hitch, and controls just like a Nexus Player ASUS Gamepad.
I even got a round of siege in via Moonlight Game streaming.
So, uh. Try it out.
