IS 3.2 available on the p7500 ? - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Officially I mean OTA. The reason I ask is because I've tried via the tab, and it says that there are no updates available, but I'm wondering if that's right.
Sorry, I know this question may have been asked before.

Has anyone seen a gingerbread update for their vibrant on kies? They said the update would start rolling out beginning of last week for all galaxy s phones.

Actually, your thinking of the Fascinate, since we all know that Verizon delays more then anyone else.
We would probably see Gingerbread first of the US carriers.

I beg to differ. I will fight you tooth and nail that T-Mobile will be the last to push the update. As many Android phones that I have been through with T-Mobile and waiting for empty promises; ummm.....yeah.

if you actually read the release info about the "promised gb update", you'd have read the part about how the US variants are on a different timeline, and if you had been here during the whole 2.1 -> 2.2 update debacle, you'd have known that all these timeline "promises" ONLY apply the the international galaxy s phones.

New Updates ?

Hi
It has been a while since last galaxy s2 got an official update ?!
dose anyone know why ?
world wide no any official update since the arrival of Kh3 which was a month and a week ago ?
we usual got updates every 1 to 2 weeks ?!
2.3.5 is on its way.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
so that is why updates stoped ?
and i didnt hear that 2.3.5 will be released to galaxy s2 are you sure ?
ice cream's on the way
I'm still waiting for the official 2.3.4 update (I have an unlocked phone from the UK). The current firmware has a weird bug that causes the data connection to occasionally drop... So I'm hoping the next update fixes this.
will 2.3.5 be official to galaxy s2 ?

Is something broken in hk3 that needs to be updated? Or do you simply want an update because its simply newer?
and is there any release date ?

1)because it's simply newer
2)because as we know every update comes fixes bugs
3)has more features
4)has more battry Life
is that enough?

I had a phone die from bad Samsung officially released FW after a KIES update. Plus Samsung wouldn't support it even though it was "incorrectly placed by them", and given the green light for my region (and I went through the finger pointing game between Samsung/carrier)
Odin is definitely the way to go. You get a million times better support from here over Samsung if anything goes wrong...

I don't get it. So far the SG1 has seen more timely updates than the current flagship. Why?

And you need bug fixes/new features/more battery life updates every week? Download cm7, you'll get updates everyday.
i think it take again a while before an update comes! i don't get it the big successor of samsung and sgs1 again first an update!
Ehh...so far no one really answered the OPs question. Obviously he knows there are custom solutions out there but he simply asked about an official Kies update. I am on XEU as well and am frustrated by the lack of an official update in over 2 months. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone is going to be able to give you any reason why there hasn't been updates or any information on when one may be coming. Samfirmware isn't really official and I haven't seen any quotes from an official Samsung source like their twitter. Seems like we just have to wait and suffer with the battery bug and the data connection issues...
I'm also very disappointed with speed of Samsung in releasing new updates. Anyway now I have HTC Sensation for test (Czech) and Android is still 2.3.3, but in Germany it is 2.3.4
So I would like to mainly ask Google to step into this jungle and make some order. Otherwise, I think people will turn to iOS or WM 7.5, where updates are more clear...

Questions regarding updates in Europe (Sweden)

Hi everyone! I've been lurking a lot, but not registered until now.
I have been anxiously awaiting the ics update for my razr, but haven't gotten it yet. As I was checking my info on my phone I found that I only have 2.3.5.
Shouldn't I have gotten 2.3.6 by now to prepare for ics? I really want my ics but how will I ever get it if I don't even have 2.3.6?
If it helps, I live in Sweden and my operator is tele2/comviq.
If I search for updates it says it's up to date. What can I do?
Sent from my XT910 using xda-developers app
did you buy your phone used? maybe previous owner flashed with something weird?
Nope. It's bought brand new and I've updated once as far as I can remember. Still says 235 though.
Any idea? I'm so over it. I just want a version of ICS that works here in Sweden, any way really..
Sent from my XT910 using xda app-developers app
What version are you on? You can RSD an EMEA fastboot file to get the European updates, but there are probably better solutions if you don't want to mess with your phone
I'm on version 651.73.30.XT910.NonEFIGSRetail.en.EU .
Does that say anything to any of you guys..?
I'm fine with going the manual way of updating, as long as the version works as intended here in Sweden.
Although I do want the official release, not an earlier leak or a mod.
Yup, that's the latest version for the NonEFIGSRetail.en.EU, I'm on it as well (in Israel). There isn't an update to 2.3.6 for us
Not everyone in Sweden received 2.3.6, some was lucky updating to 2.3.6 (I was one of them) try to update via Motocast and see if there is anything there otherwise wait for the official ICS

I think if we waited so long, we can wait a few more days. We should be getting ICS in Q2... or so motorolla says.
But if you want, there are many posts around here on how to RSD-lite-your-way to ICS.
But does any of it apply for those of us in Europe? I've only seen the Verizon and Brazil updates.
Sent from my XT910 using xda app-developers app
Yes, there is this T-mobile EU leak http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1688241
Since I'm not that well informed, I'm going to ask to be sure.
If install it that way, am I still "official ROM" and can get future OTA? And everything will work as intended even though I don't have T-mobile?
Edit: also, since I've never updated like this with a new version of android, will I loose apps etc? It's not really a problem, just wondering.
Sent from my XT910 using xda app-developers app
No, if you install that OTA you will not be entitled to the official OTA's from Motorola (AFAIK). And I know that going back to Gingerbread is not possible if you are on ICS. In my opinion is better to wait these 4 days and see if Motorola releases the official ICS on time (Q2)
I don't know if the one I gave you the link about is official (I doubt it) it's considered a leak and there might be bugs
If you cant wait, install EMEA 2.3.6 with RSD-Lite, then you should get the OTA as soon as it arrives in Europe. That's what I've done
@percz, does that mean that you've received the update, and does it mean that you got it from the official update service?
Sent from my XT910 using xda app-developers app
Also in Sweden, as someone mentioned earlier, I only got the update through motocast. Phone always just said it was upto date.
Sent from my XT910 using XDA
So you got the update through motocast without fiddling with anything?
Edit: tried through motocast, nothing.

Yeah, now that I think about it, I installed the 2.3.5 fastboot and got an OTA to 2.3.6. I've made a post about it somewhere...
If you can and want to, could you send me a pm with what you used and how you did it?
Also, doesn't fast boot lock you to only manual updates in the future?
Sent from my XT910
You've got PM!
The fastboot files are Motorola original, just like the ones they use at the service centers, so there should be no problem

Galaxy Note specs

Check this page http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones/SGH-I717ZBAATT-specs
And this page http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/devices/samsung/galaxy-note-carbon-blue.html
When the specs change from Android 2.3 to Android 4.0 it means the update is out. Maybe this will help in all the confusion that happens when people start threads saying they have an update notification.
They both say 2.3.

Thats the point when they change to Android 4.0 the update is out. There have been a lot of people saying they are getting notifications that say they have an update but when they click on it it doesn't do anything and tells them to try to download it later so the next time it happens all people have to do is check one of these sites to see if the specs have changed to say Android 4.0 and if it has it means the update was released.

No, you can't just assume they'll update that page even after it's officially released. In fact, I'd bet that they won't update that page, because if they change it to say "Android 4.0" and there are tons of devices out in the wild still running GB, the spec would be wrong for the majority of the devices.

Agree, and for the devices still in stores, they won't be updated unless they take every one out of the box, power it up and update it... Then it will be used. LOL!

As a matter of fact. I received a new Note from At&t today. Once I booted up I received message stating there's a update. Servers r currently busy and will try again later. I tired manually after the message and it said I'm up to date.

Cannot find update

Hi, sorry if this has been asked before but I promise I have tried to find a solution prior to posting here.
This morning I have received the notification of software update I guess to JB and I have selected cancel download by mistake. Since then I cannot get the update back on my phone, I have tried scanning for the update and all sorts but nothing seems to work.
Anyone here have any idea how to get the phone back to update? I would prefer not to use kies if possible.
Hi

Keep auto update on maybe? If not then dont worry. Its probably just some bug fixes. If your desperate tho maybe you can find the stock rom updated v. And flash it in odin

If it's any consolation it won't be Jellybean update as the rumour mill suggests there won't be an official JB release until late August.

If you couldn't download the update manually, just wait. It'll come again in a day or two.
