Hello.
I've been buying a couple of apps that I do not want to download right away, but the download starts automatically. So I wait for them to install, when it is finished I can't uninstall them because of the refund button. I uninstalled one of them through "Manage applications" and still got a refund. Which I did not want.
It's been about 40 minutes since I bought them but the refund button is still there.
Could anyone help me with this. Thank you in advance!
If it has been more than 15 minutes and the refund button still shows, then go to manage applications. Find Market and clear data. That should also clear cache, but if you still have the option to clear cache do that as well.
Reboot if you want, but it shouldn't be necessary. When you go back to the Market they shouldn't allow you to refund anymore. If they do then you can either wait it out or freeze them with TB - you have to have the pro version of Titanium Backup to freeze apps. Be sure that in the settings for TB that freezing an app doesn't remove its market entry... I can't remember the exact wording of the option but it's in there.

On the pro i got two programs that refuse to be deleted, either with titanium or the stock program option.
These two are gold rush and roller rev 99. im on 2.1.1a.0.6 branded .
Any idea why these two programs keep returning after the phone is switched off?

If you want to uninstall the one that are no longer necessary.
- In the Home screen (the center button) ot your Xperia click "Settings> Applications> Manage Applications"
- Find the application you want to uninstall and click on it
- On the next screen, click on "Uninstall"
- Confirm your choice.
- The widget of the application and will be no more on the Home screen
That does not work, i can delete them and i see the free space increase. After a reboot it seems they are installed again...
I had this problem in my X8!
I tried the following:
1. unninstall those apps
2. download app from market
3. reboot, see if it helps
searched with root explorer and found them both under
/system/etc/customization/applications
deleted those and uninstalled from phone that seems to have worked.
Hi, how I can prevent my EVO 3D from re downloading purchased apps from market after factory reset?? its taking for ever and some apps I dont want anymore so its useless re downloading everything
Open your market, press menu, then press My Apps. It will show all apps being downloaded, look for a "STOP" button on the upper right portion of the screen and press it.
thanks for your reply, will this stop them for ever or they will resume after a phone reboot?
The way to keep them from even starting is to skip the sign in to your Google account on the first boot. If you skip that, you can go through the settings menu and uncheck the auto backup/restore feature, then go and add your Google account.

Try going into Settings/Privacy and then Uncheck Backup My Settings, and Automatic Restore!
no idea why this happens. when i download something or update an app the completed notification randomly keeps reappearing even after clearing. i clear the notification and then 15 minutes or so later it reappears. keeps happening for days on end. the only way to stop the notifications is to go and clear app data.
this is inconvenient and stupid. why are these notifications reappearing after being cleared?
anyone else have this problem or have any idea how to fix it?
anyone Bueller ?
Is this with Android market aka Google play? Or amazon appstore? Either way try to go into settings and clear the application data and then do a reboot. Let us know if this solves it.

android market.
as i said the only way to clear it is to go in and clear app data. when i hit the x it clears but then just reappears again in a few hours. the only way to truly clear without reappearing is to clear app data which is unlike every other android device i've had
I'm unable to install/uninstall or update my apps with google play. Uninstalling Google Play updates doesn't work either. Rebooting doesn't help. Reset my phone to factory defaults once, but after a while the problem cropped up again. Not sure if it has anything to do with some of the apps I've installed.
Another issue that maybe connected to the first one is that when i go into an individual app info, it says computing and nothing happens, no info no matter how long I wait.
Issue #3: The developer options are not accessible. When I press the Developer options, I just get a black screen and after a while it says Settings are not responding.
It's safe to say I really hate this phone's guts. I've had nothing but trouble with it. It's slower than molasses, and I've never installed a lot of apps on it, no cracked apps either, just highly rated free apps and paid apps. It does have a great screen. That's all good I can say about this beta phone. I can't wait to upgrade Note 2.
I'm on the stock rom 4.0.4
Any ideas, other than resetting it yet one more time?
Thanks!

Is it by chance Google Assistant or just the Google App? Can you post a screenshot of the advertisement your seeing?
If in doubt try factory data resetting the phone. I would suggest this combined with an antivirus/malware scanner (at the very least the latter if you don't plan on factory resetting the phone). A factory data reset basically resets everything back to default and removes all your apps. Set your phone backup, install some sort of antimalware/antivirus app and then pay particular attention to what apps you install. If the issue happens again take note of what apps you installed last/recently (cuz they might be the cause).
Don't do factory reset, download Malwarebytes eecurity,u will get 1 month free, then choose "use deep scanner during full scan" from the settings,it will detect and kill the malware nd adware
Chack the apps with an "overlay permisson"
Got it fixed had running Malwarebytes and Samsung owns antivirus both got nothing, i cleaned Google cache, reset their app data, removed few apps and its gone thankfully, have no idea where it would come.
The picture attached is "Estonian language" but yeah it would close my apps and show the add when I click show recent apps shows "Google play services" and then it immediately deletes itself.
