ADW Launcher EX default screen? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have CM7 and I just installed ADW Launcher EX, one feature I am missing is that whenever I am on any homescreen but press the home button it takes me to default screen, is this feature only in CM7's version of ADW Launcher or am I having a bug ?
This is not another post asking how to make ADW Launcher EX my default Launcher, I am talking about homescreens.

You need to set a homescreen to your default homescreen first.
after you did so, everytime you press the home button it takes you to the homescreen you set as the default one.
dont know anyway...im not using adw ex

I couldn't find that option before Thanks.

A free advice!
You should switch to Go launcher Ex, far more customization than you can even think,i have tried both so you can really consider a switch + it had the option you're looking for and also there's an option to copy your current launcher's icons to it
Hit thx if I helped you a bit

Hi,
Try a launcher like ADW Launcher, Zeam, or Launcher Pro. You can change name of shortcuts, apps, folders, whatever through homescreen launcher (not the default one / ROM built-in launcher). Just long press on your home screen or go to menu and choose add, then you select shortcuts. You may choose any kind of shortcuts from there. Afterthat you can long press on the shortcut to change any action, name, or icon.
I use ADWLauncherEX daily. You can try the free one or other launchers. Find them in the market.
Good luck.

Just get ADW EX and customize that, unless you you can use SDK and edit the command string. that would be the only way I know how to do it.

A way to switch Launchers easily?

How can I set my default launcher to LauncherPro or froyo or ADW?
Can i install and change multiple launchers the same time for froyo in stock 2.2?
Sure. Go to Manage applications, find your actual launcher and clear the default start option. Then click in the home button and choose the launcher you want and check the box that says to use always that launcher.
Can i install multiple launchers at the same time ? also by the above steps if we can change the default launcher to ADW, Launcher pro etc?
Yes you can install multiples launchers for example: Adw + Launcher pro + Go Launcher, when you have installed them, if you press the Home button the system let you choose the launcher.
Yes, you can have how many launchers you want installed at the same time. When you want to use another simple do what i told in previous post.
Ya its working..Now which is the best launcher that you are using now ADW , launcher pro or any other ..suggestions please..
If v can apply some themes also?
Launcher pro + Launcher pro icons + Desktop Visualizer + any icons you want.
i think Launcher pro have stopped updating the apps..right..
i have downloaded Launcher pro from the market but can't open it, only option available is uninstall.. the devoleper itself mentioned "If you can't open it, download "ClearDefaultHome" or "Home Switcher" ..
If we can install it without Home switcher?
how to stop the vibrating alert in Launcher Pro?

[Q] Clear Home laucher default

Quick question, I downloaded ADW EX and while messing with it I selected Home as the default launcher. I've gone to Manage Applications to clear the default but I don't see the "home" application (OK I'm a noob). How do I clear the home launcher default? I'm really liking ADW and want to use it as default.
Check under the "all" applications tab
Thank you!! That did it. Man I'm a noob LOL

[Q] Access "Personalize" from another launcher

Is it possible to access the Personalize menu from another launcher somehow? Going to Menu -> Settings -> Personalize does nothing at all from inside ADW... and it's the only way to customize the lock screen and whatnot... I can uninstall ADW, go back to Sense and it works, but I don't use Sense... and it would be nice if I could just hit a button or whatever and get there without having to change my home launcher...
OK this may or may not work. I know if you are in sense as the launcher, you can open adw with the app shortcut in the drawer, so, in adw can you just make a shortcut to sense, and click that?

Thanks for the suggestion, but Sense doesn't show up in in the list when trying to add a shortcut or any widget or anything.

lol it wouldn't be that easy. I was more hoping you could find the intent in the launcher action/system function list...
My workaround is to go into applications and clear defaults on whatever launcher im using and press home and switch to sense and then personalize what i need and go back and reset my alternative launcher to default. Kind of a pain but it works. Wish i had a quick shortcut to suggest.
