So you know that recently the ThunderSense project has been abandoned for two things:

GPS/Outgoing calls couldn't be fixed
Hopefully I started a new project called GingerSense,which is a Sense 2.1 (Gingerbread 2.3.3) ROM originally made for Desire Z but ported to G1. So since G1 is mdpi (AFAIK Desire Z is hdpi) i used G1 port. Let's hope that now bugs will be fixed if I make the phone boot
So basically for making it start I:
Replaced the kernel with franco's stable gb one(wierd thing: Kitchen says that Kernel cmdline is no_console_suspend=1 console=null instead of mem=471M console=ttyMSM2,115200n8 androidboot.hardware=thunderg,I don't know if this is relevant)
Renamed init.trout.rc to init.thunderg.rc,same thing for ueventd rc files (BTW,trout is G1 codename)
Replaced all modules (wierd stuff even here: Instead of .ko modules i found a modules.sqf file)
Replaced all libs in /system/lib/hw and removed trout ones (didn't remove sapphire files because it's not bad keeping 'em)
But stuck on first LG Logo with lights on! What should I do? I heard somewhere that kernel does this,even adb is blocked.

@ciaox: sqf stands for squashfs; should be easy to get the normal stuff out of it.

I tried franco's latest froyo bfs kernel,and also tried an old franco cfs kernel but always stuck on first lg logo. What should I do?
Also if this won't work in any way I'll try to port SalsaSense from Hero help me with this first tho if you can

Why don't you try Paolo gb kernels. Use some earlier versions.
Franco's is heavily tweaked, I think so. There's no harm in trying.
Don't know much about technical stuff. Just a thought.

Can you get some logcats? Without it it's hard to figure what might be happening. I'm not an expert on rom making. Try first with LG's stock .35 kernel.

I know that hero's android dev has .35 kernel also, but its based on las venturas stuff... So is it much difference?

Uuuuh. That is going to be pretty difficult, considering I do not have the ROM. Well, in there should be the (uncompressed) kernel modules, anyway.
the Olympus Titan HD seems a great ROM but unfortunately it doesnt work on GSM...
can any one please port it or makes it run on gsm

Mauw why is there an need for an port? There are plenty off Sense 3.0 roms. Only interesting feature I finded in this rom is that they say usb host mode is working.
But usb host mode is something that works in some kernels and one kernel I know where usb host mode is working is AnthraX kernel.

i tried it and deleted the project.. cant fix the updater-script..
its waaay to complicated then you think..
the build.prop is easy..
jus change the first para..
not the whole to keep the tweaks..
import the settings.apk from leedroid as well..
i jus imported the vpn items from settings.apk of leedroid to optimus.. but i dont think there's much difference..
and rest is the usual.. use leedroid a pdf file for which files need to be replaced..
but thats not the hard part.. hard part is the updater-script..
create symlinks and stuff.. too long and complicated.. its not like a simple extract .zip to partition..

I'm working on this now (porting) seems easy enough i have ARHD by mike1986 working 98% just a couple of little niggles to iron out then i'll be rocking ARHD on my 3VO .

That ROM is completely outdated you'd be running it just for the name. It has almost no tweaks. I don't even think it has 7 in 1 shutdown menu

Which ROM is outdated ?!!!!!!!!
Its dev'd from the latest GB release so how is that outdated , but anyways its running 99% now just a few 4G files/menus toi remove and its done.
As for the question about a pdf file i didn't use any pdf file , trail and error trail and error.

I meant that the ROM is outdated because its missing all the newest features and nods because it was abandoned a long time ago.

U r right ... But it seems so great .. At all .. all the CDMA ROMs are Better than GSM ... thats why we neet to port
i want to try it, but cant download due to multiupload any other link?
Oh and by the way there is a newer version of Olympus that was never released on xda.

No, not working for me...... I even tried to connect pen drives to ONE X, but no go.
Not currently. USB OTG needs support ROM and kernel side. AFAIK, ICS has support built in. but I'm not sure if it needs to be enabled via kernel, or what. I really hope it comes through after we get source though.
I am using ICS 4.0.4 AOKP, i tried CM9 by FXP and nothing...
The problem is: back in GB i could use my gamepad/mouse via USB OTG Host and detect ALL the buttons (with both mouse and gamepad) now in 4.0.4 (or in some GB custom roms) i can't do it..
from what i know (not too much) its set by the kernel modules, then how can i make or get a kernel with this things already inside?
i am thinking in go back to stock GB so i could use it, im freaking out
(my device recognize the mouse/gamepad, it works but all the buttons (not DPAD/Scroll) are find as <unknown> (found out at input settings in some emulators, then it means that my device is not recognizing the stuff i plug in)

you already know that its down to kernel & modules, so you could do well to find a kernel which supports the UST OTG module & is compatible with the ROM you are using
you could check in the neo themes & apps section, there's USB OTG app & modules by Shardul Seth

that ROM have some serious problems with wifi modules, then they provide the kernel+wifi modules...
i tried many ICS kernels but in that ROM nothing works, now my pendrive is working in OTG but still no chace in mouse/gamepad buttons... still <unknown>
i installed some modules from the guy of the USB OTG Helper (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1588940) that made pendrive works

First of all.. if you have the otg cable, connect it and see whther the device detects it.. if you are using a custom kernal, just google with the kernal name and version and see the feature list.. if otg is not listed there, then probably wont have the functionality..
Download USB otg helper and try connecting any drive using otg cable
If detected then YES

I dont think you will be able to achieve the OTG functionality with Froyo.. I believe you should have ICS or above..
Nope some it is not necessary to have ics or jb
If u have appropriate hardware and kernel with otg functionality u can also get it on eclair.
As u have appropriate hardware search for a custom kernel for ur device which has otg host support.
