Hi,
I have the following problem with my Razr:
When i play the music over bluetooth it seems like i was using a old cd player without antiskip and hit him, is just a little jump but only happen on bluetooth, on headphones or speaker works great
Any idea of this issue? should i go a ask for warranty?
thanks
I get the same thing but it really seems to happen when I click something on the screen and the phone places the sound for clicking on an app or widget or something. Occasionally it'll happen randomly. Probably something that needs to get updated by Moto, I don't think it's anything wrong with your individual phone. Of course I have the Verizon Droid Razr but I'd imagine it's similar.

Yes i already went to my Cellphone dealer and that's what they told me, i'll wait until some fix get out.
A temporary solve for this issue is move all the music to the internal storage
Thanks for the help
I made more testing and it does not mater if you put the music on the internal or external memory the problem is the same we will need to wait for an update or custom rom without the problem
Thanks

I am having this same problem on my car headunit. Thought it might be my sd card. Is anyone using the a 16gb card that this is happening with?

same on my mw600.... I am experiencing dropouts during the playback... Its very annoying...
Same issues with my maxx on the latest update.
Haven't tried the wifi "off" option yet.
I use a satechi bluetooth fm transmitter.... the older one with the slide down front face and red digit display. Every other phone works great, even my bionic and SGN, and even slightly older phones.
Oddly I want to report the opposite, the Bluetooth on this works much better and has better range than my previous phone (Droid Incredible). Of course I've only tested it with a Samsung HM3700.
It fails with wifi off, does the every few second stop playing music, then start, then stop.... grrrrr

That's what I have.
droid razr bluetooth skip work around
I picked up a droid razr in feb 2012, and I the same skipping issue right out of the box. It only happend while playing through bluetooth. I found that mine skipped every time the data, 3g or 4g lte, sent or received. This happens randomly based on activity on the phone. I used an app called tasker to turn off my mobile data automatically, only when I was connected to bluetooth and my music app was running. This keeps it from skipping, but it prevents my from using pandora or streaming through google music. I've had many smart phones over the years and I have occasionally had this same issue with wifi, but never with 3g before. This leads me to believe that it's an issue with either with the hardware or software of this particular phone. Hopefully motorola fixes it. Hope this helps anyone out there with the same issue.

Well I have searched high and low and have not found an answer yet so here goes.....
I have a Pioneer AvicZ130BT stereo in my truck and I have just switched to a Photon from an EVO 4G. I am having issues with connecting to the head unit over BT. It will work some times and sometimes it will disconnect the phone and shut off the bluetooth on the phone.
Q. Are there any updated or legacy BT drivers that I might be able to try to get these two to play nice?
Q. Is there an App that might be helpfull.
Any help will be appreciated.

Are you running on stock?
I know certain rom/kernel combos are having Bluetooth issues. I am on cm9 with the original kernel and connect to my blau deck in my bimmer and a pioneer deck in my blazer no problem.

Yes the phone is stock but has root through the All In One Root just for hotspot. The phone had issues pairing in the parking lot of the Sprint store but I thought I would be able to work it out. I have tried just about everything but can not get the phone to connect automatically or consistently.
My EVO worked perfectly. I spend alot of time in my truck and this will be a deal breaker if I can not get the phone to play nice with the truck.
I have been having similar problems with my Bluetooth. My keyboard disconnects randomly and my headset often disconnects. I posted a question about updating Bluetooth stack, but no answer as of yet. I did try cm9 and the keyboard seemed to work better. However, i didn't use Bluetooth nearly as much while on cm9.
For me not a deal breaker, but i am hoping the motorola update to ics will fix things.

UPDATE
Just wanted to say that the phone is connecting very well now and seems to be streaming Pandora and other audio just fine. I did download some 3rd party apps like bluetooth manager and car dock settings that do help in configuring the connection better. I also think that I may have been a little impatient waiting for the phone to connect automatically and may have been causing more issues than the phone. My Evo connected very fast and this phone is just a little slower but I can live with that. So in short, the phone is working as it should and I will stay a SexyMoPho for a while longer I think.
Thanks to all

su to root:
Code:

This nukes your Bluetooth (bluetooth daemon) stored settings. Handy if you've dirty flashed any ROMs.
I found this here:

Disclaimer: I'm not responsible for your phone or command line fowl-ups. If you know what you are doing, have at it. If not, research it.
Edit: In the interest of due diligence, I have to add that there was also a firmware update for my Pioneer DEH-80PRS. Between nuking the Bluetoothd settings on my Android and updating the Bluetooth Firmware on my Pioneer car stereo, I have had flawless operation ever since. Pioneer has a disclaimer that if you don't have an IPhone, you don't need this update... I think they fixed something they aren't admitting to. You see this often with big companies that throw things in under the radar.

Is anyone using an ICS ROM on their i777 with a Subaru navigation system and has Bluetooth streaming working properly? More specifically, are there any 2010+ Subaru Outback w/ Navigation users using ICS and having Bluetooth streaming working correctly?
If so, what year/model is your car? And what ROM/kernel are you using?
Mine works flawlessly in GB, but in any ICS ROM, streaming will start for a couple ms, you'll hear a fragment of the song, then it will pause for a second. My logs are showing a buffer issue in the BT stack. Is anyone else having the same problem?
I might have some time to get to the bottom of it, but if someone else has it working I'd like to hear that too.
I have Subaru BT audio disconnect issues also.
The disconnects happened with deep sleep on ICS, Shostock2 and AOKP roms.
I have found that keeping the charge cord plugged in will prevent deep sleep and avoid the disconnect.
My thread on this from a few months back
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1609686
Someone else posted a thread yesterday that was moved to Q+A about the same issues.
He claimed to avoid BT disconnects on CM9.
Subaru and Audi owners are the biggest groups complaining, so their BT stuff must be a little different from most.
I am using Tasker on Shostock2 to avoid the issue as posted in my thread.

This is different than the disconnect issue. This is a constant stutter. Basically, you hit play, you hear a couple ms of your track, then silence, repeat ad nauseum. During this, you see the head unit and phone flip from PLAY to PAUSE repeatedly. logcat shows a buffer issue in the bluetooth stack.
If you pause, then hit play, and repeat that for a while, it sometimes begins to function normally for the remainder of the BT connection. But the issue is ALWAYS present when first starting to play from a fresh BT connection.
My Subaru HU is made by Kenwood. That's why I asked for other similar models/years, since I could at least then do some research on what model Nav unit was being installed and figure something out from there. Unfortunately I don't know about Audis or I'd try to help there too.

My wife is running ShoStock2 3.0.4, and is experiencing dropped bluetooth connection on phone calls in her '12 Outback. I suspect it is due to the phone going into deep sleep, as she tried changing her screen timeout to keep the phone awake, and didn't get dropped calls. As with everyone else, waking the screen will re-establish the BT connection and the call will continue.
Prior to this issue coming up and digging into it, I didn't realize these phones would go into deep sleep while on a call, so that was an interesting piece of info for me.
Guess it's time for her to get tasker and learn how to use it.
Thanks for all the input/advice here on how to work around this guys!

What would be so unique about the car side that would cause the phone to timeout? I ask because I routinely have hour+ long conference calls over BT (Jabra Cuiser 2) and have never had a BT dropout - dropped calls yes (it is ATT afterall) but never a BT dropout.

Wish I knew. Hers is the only vehicle we have access to with built in BT,.so I don't have a way to test it on other setups. I'm not 100 percent positive the problem appeared after the change to an ics ROM, but I do not recall it ever happening when she was on GB. I believe, but am not certain, that the phone call over in car audio via BT is handled through an a2dp media connection with the car, rather than a more typical BT mono phone headset type of connection. I'm admittedly very unfamiliar with the specifics of BT connection stuff, so I may be talking out of my a$$ here. I do know that I've had no issues at all with my el cheapo BT headset on various ics roms...

FWIW, I have the same issue, although eventually it seems to settle down to one-two stutters every minute or so. Sometimes it is really bad, though.
It could be hardware... my original Inc. did not have this issue. But my old Touch Pro 2 did do something similar if WiFI was on.
I have the same issue with the BT in my car. Can't use the hands-free in the car & streaming music is unbearable. Are either of u running custom roms?

What player are you guys using? Are you streaming over the net?
Might relate to WIFI AP range?
I never meet this kind of problem in my HTC phone with MW600 BT headphone when I listen to mp3 music and browse facebook in the same time.
Is it possible that your WIFI AP signal is too weak to affect BT? I heard that BT and WIFI shares some common resource in HTC phone.

Using stock ROM (rooted, but nothing more than that), playing local music using the stock player. Doesn't seem to matter if I am connected to WiFi AP or not.
I don't want to muddy the waters on this one but I wanted to mention some things that have happened to me with several phones over the last few years. Thunderbolt....BT headset needed to be replaced as it had no outgoing voice but could hear people fine. Rezound.... BT headset (plantronics I believe) wouldn't even connect to the phone, replaced with a jawbone. Wife's Inc 4g... needed a new BT headset (had an older jawbone, replaced with a newer one) it would connect to the phone and work most of the time, but sporadically it would have no sound or voice communication at all.
All of these headsets were tested on both the older phones and the newer ones when the issues were occurring. The headsets would work without any issues on the older phones, but the new ones just wouldn't work correctly.
I'm not sure if it was just a bluetooth version incompatibility (they seem to update the BT version with every damn phone) or extremely bad luck, but the problems were occurring and could be duplicated consistently. I know they say BT is backwards compatible, but I've seen issues over the years.

Hmm. I've played around with a few scenarios and I have not been able to find a stuttering issue on my phone. It's always possible that the ROM (UKB) I'm running is responsible for it but I don't think it is.
just to update everyone, i ended up returning the headset. turning off the wifi only temporarily fixed the issue and it came right back up once i got back in my car.. for the original issue i had (ground loop noise over the headphone cable) i ended up getting a ground loop isolator cable - problem solved
i have flashed back to 10B several times, updated to 23b three times and every time i have my bluetooth skipping, while listening to Pandora or any music really in my truck. Just want to know if i am alone on this one or is anyone else experiencing it. If i pause the music for a few seconds, its plays, then stops, like its buffering. Any help is appreciated.

Finding this post has finally convinced me to sign up and participate. Long time lurker...
I have the same problem and have been working on hunting this down.
I have a pioneer deh-80ors receiver with the vs985.
On 12b and previous bluetooth works great but everything after that introduces the problem.
The audio plays normally for 15-45 seconds regardless of the app used, then drops for a second, plays for a second in a hurried mess and repeats until the receiver is restarted or bluetooth is disabled on the phone and reconnected.
I have tried a handful of roms for lollipop without success (I do like skydragon though - nice and lean with the termal mod).
If I flash back to OEM 12b using kdz everything works great. If I load an old rom like jasmine 4 it works great. I have tried enabling and disabling all settings from the hidden menu for bt_test with no results other than it occasionally not working at all.
I have read reports of people turning off the call audio from the bluetooth pairing with mixed results, using an app from the manufacturer of the deck (which doesn't work here since pioneer connect was released like two years ago), disabling driving mode (for the S2 and S3), and all kinds of other snake oil. Based on the fact it works fine with the OEM revision up to the one before lollipop leads me to believe it's some problem with lollipop directly. I'm confident it's not the bluetooth drivers or firmware as flashing between major releases resulted in the modem being broken (intermittent LTE) but the same bluetooth issues. That is, unless the BT drivers are built into the release and are specific to each one in which case replacing the new drivers in a more modern ROM with the old ones may work.
The worst part is that most decks don't work with droid devices nearly as well as apple anyway, if we could just plug them in over usb I would be ok with that. Unfortunately the receiver doesn't even see the thing and no manner of apps or settings changes I could do ever got that working either. If anyone has gotten a usb audio connection working (preferably without USB Audio Pro App which is the one that most people like) I would love some input.
Does anyone else have a 2014 Chevy silverado that they can test this on, or maybe any recent Chevrolet with the Mylink software/screen, whenever I connect my LG V10(Verizon variant) via blue tooth to my truck, the mylink touchscreen goes completely black, basically crashing it completely, it finally comes back on about 10 seconds later and says connected, but I get absolutely no volume out of my media, the phone volume is fine for phone calls, but I can't play any music, it shows it playing, there's just no sound, never had this problem before with my Note3 or my wife's S5 or her iPhone 6s
I have a 2015 Silverado and have the same problem. It will connect fine when the truck starts, but the screen does what you describe and the phone dissconnects, then reconnects a couple of times. Might do that indefinitely, but I switched back to the radio when the screen came up. There's another post in this forum that describes what I'm seeing, but in a Honda, so I'm guessing it's a phone thing rather than stereo related, but I could be wrong.
I've also noticed that I can access my contacts through my main screen, but they don't show up on the smaller screen on the instrument panel.
Mine is also a Verizon phone. I hope it's a simple software bug that can be fixed in an update.
ETA: The other poster said he had the same issue with the G4 and a Hundai whn that phone was new. But they patched it, so that's a good sign.

2015 CHEVY SS with mylink... No issue other than once where no audio would play through the speakers even though the track info was accurate. Restarting the car got it to work. Hasn't happened since.
Oh boy, I didn't see this thread, I've replied in 2 others. I'm having the same problem in my 2015 GMC Sierra. I have the newer "Intellilink" software, but the same EXACT problem with the head unit turning black and restarting. My truck is actually in service right now to see if they can update the software in the head unit. I love this phone, but I can't NOT have bluetooth audio. I'll keep you posted as to what they say. My note 4 and wife's iPhone 6 and 6s all worked with my truck, and with her car.

Do it.. You won't regret it
Other phones are having this problem as well. It's not just LG. The common theme is the new chevy my link system.
OK, update... I just picked the truck up from the dealership. They said they DID have an update for the "human interface" system, whatever that means, however the problem with the black screen / rebooting is still there :/
I might try exchanging the phone for a new one and see if it fixes it, otherwise, I'll have to get a stupid Turbo 2 (gross) or a Nexus 6p
LGv10 Chevy Colorado 2015
I'm having the same exact issue as mentioned above on a 2015 Chevy Colorado...black screen, rebooting and makes and received calls with no issues. Just will not play media audio. I hope LG fixes soon.

Got the SS [emoji1]. Everything works fine except that whenever I start the car it un-pauses Poweramp even when BT is not selected as source. I have the option tuned off in the player setting but still not luck.
Any suggestions?

Hmm.. you are correct. I've seen it do that sometimes with poweramp but I use google play music and it doesn't seem to have that issue. There are some utilities like Bluetooth Auto Connect (or similar) on the play store that control player behavior on BT connect/disconnect.. Maybe try one of those out? Or use tasker to pause music after x number of seconds?

I've got a 2015 Chevy Silverado. It does the EXACT same thing when I pair my V10 with it. Screen goes black then comes back on. I get call audio but no media audio. I see it playing but no sound. I've connected 4 other devices via bluetooth with no problem.

I also have a 2015 Colorado. My screen in the truck doesn't turn black/reboot. But I do have the issue where it says a track is playing but I either have no audio or the audio is playing through my phone rather than the speakers in the truck. I have found that if I wait until the phone is connected and I switch my source to FM and back to bluetooth it forces the audio through the vehicle speakers. It's an inconvience but at least it works. Hopefully there is a fix soon.
Android update fixed
I just did whatever update came down the pipe on my V10 and suddenly this problem seems to have resolved itself. So if you're still experiencing this problem and you have a pending android update. The Android update might fix it!
I have had the same problem the music looks like it's playing but not!, this happened on my lg v10 after the tmobil 6.0 update I love the phone but I can't have the audio music not play I would hate to have to change phones cause the trucks staying
I have a 2015 Silverado but I don't have that problem. But then again I have a different phone (HTC One M8). The only problem I have is that when the phone pairs, sometimes the phone will re-prompt me that MyLink is trying to access contacts/messages. Even though I have the checkbox checked to "don't prompt me again", it still prompts me often. It only started doing this when my phone got the Marshmallow update.
Oh well! At least it is a minor annoyance.
It's an LG thing more than a Chevy thing. I switch between Moto X Pure and the V10 and the MXP works fast and flawlessly. The V10 doesn't. I wanted the V10 to work so badly, I even bought an unlocked international version (in addition to the ATT stock version) to see if that would help. Nope.
EDIT: I have a 2015 Silverado
