Hi everyone, I have come from sgs to sgs2 and I do not know which app to use to undervolt. I used pimp my cpu in sgs and apparently I heard voltage control works but when I go into the app it does not show me the screen to undervolt. Only have general gpu and charging and about phone and info. I am using siyah kernel now. Can someone tell me what to do?

I personally prefer setcpu than voltage control. Unless u got the extreme version
U can get setcpu for free(XDA members exclusive) at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505419

+1 for SetCPU
frrst of all ever developer i have came across talks about using set cpu and it has specific version for xda community for free )try and top that )
2nd it has much more options then just over/under clocking and over/under volting.
3rd i havent found any problems with it yet so dont look for any other alternatives yet so hope this helps u with decision making.
+2 for SetCPU

SetCpu pwns.
-Yo momma's so stupid she finds iOS complicated.-
I like setCPU but when I slide the max cpu to 1000 and I reopen setcpu it jumps to 1300... I tried CPU tuner today and it has scaling and gives you a ton of option settings. I going to try it out for a while.
Im using no-frills

I have tried both of those, but I have had better results and prefer the interface and options of System Tuner
I've been using SetCPU for profiles, OC, and UV my phone. However I notice that the Tegrak OC app gives the user more control with tuning the GPU and I/O scheduler in addition to everything that SetCPU offers. Can someone who's been using Tegrak for awhile provide their voltage settings (since its more detailed than the voltages in SetCPU) and if possible any GPU settings/voltages. Also does using a certain I/O scheduler results in a noticeable improvement in performance or day to day usage?

ok only thing ive played with is just overclocking and using the noop scheduler.

Does tweaking the I/O scheduler leads to a noticeable improvement in performance? Can that be changed in SetCPU?

hi,
please can u help me, when i tried to intall tegrak on my i777 from the market it says " device not yet available" , did any one have the same issue ??
thanks
Im on wicked rom and siyah 2.6.6 do i need to flash anything else on to it. I heard people talk about battery scripts and all that. And changing the voltage and im not sure if im suppose to flash on a script or something. If there is something i need to flash then someone let me know. I just want a good battery thats why i choose siyah so maybe this script stuff is good. Plus theres not one theres mutiple scripts so then which one. Its all very confusing to me :? Soneone enlighten me please
Thks

Ask in the Siyah thread in the development section.
No you don't need cuz in version 2.6.3 we see
removed siyah-battery, siyah-defaults and siyah-performance scripts from the blog. please remove all existing scripts before installing this version (or flash your existing rom again to remove all scripts). use init.d scripts if you know what you do, otherwise use VoltageControl app or ThunderBolt! scripts. use this CWM recovery flashable zip to remove previous 01siyah script. just flash it once and /system/etc/init.d/01siyah script will be removed.

and for 2.6.6 you don't need zip for battery.
The scripts people are talking about are pikcahu's thunderbolt! scripts, you dont need to flash them if you dont want to, they can help, but performance/batt are good at stock values.
(Part of thunderbolt! is built into the kernel anyway)
Thanks guys so i should leave it at wat its at when i flashed 2.6.6

if it feels fine to you, then sure, if you want to tweak and mess about, then thats fine as well.
Lol kl at the moment its nothing special then again i only flashed it yesturday. Do u think there is any point using set cpu with 2.6.6

What do you want to change?
I would use voltage control myself, though with 2.6.6 it wont set max frequency correctly, that's supposed to be fixed next kernel version.
Well i use it to clock cpu lower at low battery and screen off

Yeh you can use setcpu to-do that, if you want! It wont hurt anything. Dont Undervolt to much or you may get instability.
By undervolt u mean underclocking right ?

No.. undervolting is lowering the voltage at each frequency step
Underclocking is lowering the max frequency.
eg setting the max to 1000mhz would be underclocking
setting 1000mhz to 1100mV would be undervolting (just an example)
I havent even touched voltage settings i have no exp in tht

Wat would you say is better ondemand or this new lulzactive l. Whats the diff.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Hey ladies and gents! I was just wondering for those of you that undervolt, what app do you use and what settings/profile? Thanks!
If on AOKP, there's a way to set it in settings. Otherwise, Voltage Control or SetCPU.

SetCPU works well for me. Pro tip: When testing new undervolt settings, DO NOT select "set on boot"...it can screw you over if your device can't handle the voltage settings.

Since we now have Perseus kernel and we can tweak stuff, the cpu is easy enough to tweak. But for the gpu and voltage and charging etc... what's a good app that is compatible? I used to use STweaks with Siyah. But don't what's the best all round tweaking app

I use AnTuTu and Quadrant
ps cpu crashes at 1800Mhz run at 1704
They are just benchmarking programs are they not? The OP was asking about a program that allows you to tweak the rom like Xtweaks or any of the others.

Yeh I never run it at the max just for saftey precautions, I already know how to tweak the CPU i am actually talking about tweaking everything else do you know any other software like Stweaks for Siyah?

Moving to Q&A
For GPU clocks and voltages you need to use scripts.

try SetCPU you can alter the governor and the voltage plus you can also check if the undervolt you did is stable
