FYI
Ok guys As you all noticed xda decided that all paid unlock threads voilated with xda free policy, hence some users had to take it outside xda.
- its was tha right move from xda-profit/biz -should be taken elsewhere.
(edit link removed -use google- //r33p)
a ban happy webmaster? Nice now find a way to post this ON EVER THREAD THAT YOU CAN... cuz you know ppl will ask the question another million times.

Since the new mod is soooo active at cleaning spam, I was wondering how to somehow clean XDA and get all useless **** deleted. Some people will say this thread is useless, but all of us can give links to our own or someone else's spam/old/useless thread. Lets make a resolution to clean XDA. Report all useless threads here till next two weeks. Then after that, mod can take a look at them and delete them if he believes they are no longer of any use
Actually it's the great idea. You have my support
Nice idea. This will also stop noobs from asking questions which have already been asked because they will be able to find threads more faster once spam threads are deleted.
Here are some threads which I believe are useless. Many of these threads are just questions and they should be in general section but people have posted them in themes and apps section

Yes, report posts instead of posting them here, it will make things easier and more organized for everyone.

hi.
i bought a sim free s3 last year and used various uk sims in it.
then went to pakistan last year and took it with me. sims wouldnt work so had to get it rooted to work.
the guy said it had an international lock on it where you cant use it with other countries sims.
anyone got any idea i thought simfree means unlocked anywhere in the world.
dude, look through the section list again and tell me where the questions go. then hit "report" on the post and ask for it to be moved to the correct section. thanks

glebun i really do enjoy reading many of your comment bru even had quite a few chuckles, but dude really this "vigilante policing" really wont bring you anything mate. the xda doesn't really take to self-privatization, believe me i have made this mistake myself and nearly acquired a ban,
im not putting this post to stifle you or poke-fun,. more like wanting to preserve your attendance here with us :cyclops:
plus you could bring much more to the threads then then this. pretty much every other post you make gets a thanks, but these kind wont buddy. the mods have got they're jobs, enjoy your time here mate :highfive:
when we were new to this we were noobs too
edit: i have given you a thanks too show i mean no hate here
In that case presume you have reported the OP to the mods .
Why not ask the mods not to have a separate help section .

most noobs know that help section is for asking for help. being a noob doesn't mean being unable to read.
If I get banned for this - so be it. But people who post without bothering to read the section list and the stickies deserve it more. Feel free to disagree

Hi All,
Firstly apologies if this is in the wrong section.
I am 100% new to android development and in fact not a developer at all; which makes it even trickier
Could someone point me towards a customer feedback app. By this I mean a very (and i mean very) simple feedback form that is customisable (what questions are asked, look & feel etc) for to "play" around with?
Any help in this matter would be kindly appreciated.
Thanks in advanced

Can u describe a little more? like what do ''play'' mean, and customer feedback app, for what?
Also, the thread should belong to Q&A forum ... try to post in correct forum next time.!

I did apologies if this was in the wrong section as i was not sure which one it should be in.
Basically looking for a app that could be given to people after a presentation for them to write down their views and answer some questions about it. But at the same time i want to start learning Android development so it would be a learning curve for me as well. The app would be installed on a android tablet device as well.

I don't know if any app like you want, but you should check out SurveyMonkey.com . It's a website that allows you to send people simple questionnaires and view the results. From past experience, it works on Android's browser and is easy to navigate on it.

damn right. and thats very annoying. the number of posts does not say anything about ones qualification on certain subjects. it is just a dumb idea to prevent a new or so called junior member of this forum from posting in dev. threads. not every new member is a noob. when i am searching for info on a rom i just flashed and cannot post a question in the thread i downloaded the rom from it is just ridiculous

Not only is against xda policy, its definitely not a good idea. The Q & A subsections are here for a reason. As for posting download links you will get banned from xda, and you can forget about asking devs for permission because they wont (and cant.) You can freely blog about what roms you like, their features, etc.. but you must only provide links to their xda location. Even if you developed a rom yourself and posted it on xda you would still be required to abide by these rules. Honestly you should shut down the Q & A section of your blog asap and post a direct link to the Q & A section here instead.
well i was just wondering
