I would like to know if I can avoid this. I am running oc kernel. Is that why? I reflashed stock recovery. Just trying to avoid flashing full sbf.
Trying to relock with my current rom.
Does anyone have a flashable zip for the stock kernel that they can post please?

I was hoping for a quick fix seeing as some have said it works. I think what I really need is the kernel.

so you need THE stock kernel to be able to relock your boot loader? not just a stock based kernel [aka joker's electron 1.0]?
right-o
Lol, my 1.0 kernel isnt stock at all. You need the kernel from yays 1024.zip

Kinda, replace the boot.img and dhd.ko from one of my kernel zips with the ones from 1024.zip

Any time I ran into that failed to boot issue I just reflashed the 198-7 leak. And went on about my business. :]

Winrar. I think its the fact I don't understand file structure fully.

Use sbf extractor then mount/pull system, then change the kernel from smg to iso. Make an install script or cheat and use mine and bam. Of course you could just use yays 1024.zip

Had to recreate this problem to solve it .
SBF the latest stock.
Boot into stock recovery.(May need to press Up and Down volume button to display the recovery menu once inside).
Do a factory wipe.
Reboot.

this is a port of a port that from where i found it says Credit goes to Elitemovil for originally making it.
I just took the job of making it work on the Photon.
This was made to work with Yays 4.5.1A-1_SUN-198_7 Deodexed SBF
To use on a stock phone
Flash in CWM or Bootstrap
Use Root explorer and rename the systemui.odex file to systemui.odex.bak (it's in the System/app folder) then reboot.
ty iaccax and mr_wrong_0 for finding that out.
Make sure to wipe Dalvik Cache
Will be along first boot

I know its not designed for it, but would it work on a stock OTA 4.5.1A-1_SUN-154_6? Just want to verify that it wont cause something crazy to happen, im stock rom rooted and locked, btw. Looks great!
i dont know if it will work or not maybe someone else does or you can make a backup first and try. No luck then just restore it.

Hello,
I dont know if it's really silly to post this,
but flashing CM9 and using three key recovery can lay you into recovery to recovery bootloop.
before, I use to flash [EH03] stock rom to overcome the problem.
I just notice a simple way, maybe some might be aware of this.
Here it goes,
First flash the following recovery from odin :-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=556634&d=1301538947
and then once you are in recovery then flash a glitch kernel from recovery :-
dowload link :- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1488976
This breaks the loop.
I dont know how it works but seriously it worked for me.
if it doesnt then flash ths build, and you are done. this can also be use to switching cm9 roms easily rather then again going to stock.
sageDieu said:
it also works to flash a gingerbread rom (I keep a stable cm7 rom on my card just in case) and you don't even have to wipe data, just flash cm7, boot, recovery, then flash back to ics. that way you can save yourself if you're away from a computer.

Silly? Not at all!! I've been wondering about this issue. So many times I would just say screw it and odin back to EH03 stock and start all over because I couldn't get the right CWM to flash.
Thanks!!!!

You'll lose it but you can get it back by using odin to install recovery (TWRP 2.5) and TWRP will see you have no root and ask you if you want to install it before you reboot

I recently went through the process of trying to update my recovery rom (yes, all rooted up already!).
The problem I was running into was while the tools (TWRP manager, ROM Manager, Goo Manager) all said the recovery was flashed successfully it wasn't.
During the course of my many attempts (which included some hangs, removal of the battery, etc) all of a sudden the updated recovery ROM appeared!
I have no idea what sequence of events resulted in the right behavior, either the tools are not really flashing properly, or there is some black magic (more likely) process which is restoring the recovery ROM.
What's the proper process to change/update your recovery ROM?
Sure yo are rooted but what firmware are you on, unless you're on mdk you can't flash recovery. So if your firmware says me7, mi1, or mj7 you're sol (ull find it under baseband in the about phone setting)
