It's a true fact that iPhone games are always better than Android's, I've been wondering what are the iPhone games that are available for android? I'm not requesting for apk, just requesting for the names of the games. Cheers

better at graphics? yes.....
dunno why but iOS version have better graphics....and "better" framerate also
(specially on 3d/hd games)
feature???yes
because apple made a high standard for games and apps at appstore.....
take a look at asphalt5, on iDevice there is feature "custom music track" that doesnt exist on android version......

I am bit disappointed from dell streak on game side after searching for months still no good graphic games for this 5 inch baby.... come on guys discuss some games what you got?
i hate it when my friend got i phone and showes me off what games he got like need for speed, street fighter, and list go on
what i have got
asphalt hd ( which seems like fake need for speed),
ragging thunder(another fake copy of any car racing game)
KO Boxing ( you cant beat the guy after 4th stage lol atleast i cant)
Hit penguin (am i 10 year old?)
Doodle jump (am i 5 year old?)
Find difference ( pointless even to comment on it
sorry cant think of anymore right now
but please come on folks....streak deserve better!
i have read somewhere that dell have mislead customers about the right graphic quality
android as far as going goes really does have a long long way to go. i really dont think android gaming will really kick off because iphone takes up most of the market. android is seen as the geeky alternative to iphone and properly always will do. the games on android are no better than the java games from 10 years ago. if android gaming is to really kick off then google needs to do what apple and microsoft have/are doing and invest money to entice devs
I like playing HOME RUN BATTLE 3D its got good Graphics aswell
Have a look here apparently its the only site dedicated to Android games
http://www.droiddoesgames.com/
the reason the games are not very good yet is because there is not alot of space on most android phones.so the apps have got to be small in size but this will change now with android 2.2 as you can start saving games to the sdcard .meaning large and more enhanced games
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App
not to mention more processing power because of 2.2 android.we will start to see bigger and better games soon

I have been playing 'Replica Island' with great enjoyment on the Streak. To move Mr Android tilt the Streak. Very good and many levels, a must play.

What about psx4droid, when 2.2 is released it would be great to have it running on the Streak.

The Dell Streak doesn't have the greatest of dedicated graphics does it?
So it would be hard for it to run games of high graphics like the droid for instance.
But i am waiting for a N64 app for android!!!
im pretty sure the streak could handle most high graphics game
i have over 30 games for streak.too bad i cant post my uploaded links.

I've been hunting for games for my kid to play. nothing comes close to the ones on the explorer. It seems like an emulator would be perfect since the games are touchscreen based. I'd be willing to pay or help out in any way for an app like this.or even a similar system to the explorer or leap pad
anythig???

It wouldn't be worth it. You're the only person that wants it. There are legal issues. Just download some simple games like angry birds or fruit ninja. Or buy a leapfrog device.

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask but I was wondering what racing games use the tilting functionality of a phone aside from the NFS franchise? The reason is because those NFS games aren't compatible with my Xperia Active probably because of the high quality graphics used. So yeah, alternatives?
P.S.
I'm not sure if the correct term is "accelerometer". If it's not, please feel free to correct me.

Almost all racing games use accelerometer. Check in options > control or similar.

I haven't tried it on my Prime yet, but it looks good on my Samsung Galaxy S3. They probably didn't increase the resolution for the Prime (or any android tablet) once again. We will always play second to Apple when it comes to Gameloft, until game pirating diminishes on Android's end, they are just not willing to put the extra manpower to optimized the game for different android devices.

I wouldnt feel so bad pirating gameloft games if they didnt screw devices over so much. Really, all it takes is a high end version for the big three (tegra, qualcom, and the other one forget the name) for HD devices, another set of reduced graphics for lower end devices, and thats it! Why make a seperate game optimized for each device? I KNOW the tablet version of a game will look good on my prime. Its got the horsepower to play anything you throw at it, even if i have to use chainfire, so why make it so damn difficult for me to play games i know i like? Gameloft is one of the only companies i know of that has problems making games for android, everyone else seems to deal with different devices just fine, making one game version (or sometimes a couple) that work for every device, or sometimes a HD version and a non HD version
No, i have no problem pirating Gameloft games, and if they DO come up with a game that i can buy ONCE and have it work across my multiple high end devices like anything else on the google market then maybe i will change my mind. Until then im not sending them one cent to their online store, especially if its not through google.
Never liked any of gameloft games. Most of their games are just bad clones of other games.

Wtf is wrong with u guys this game is pretty awsome! my only issue is that all game developers aren't including controller compatibility for android which i believe should be a must, as connecting a controller to any android device is the simplest thing ever.

I'm with you on this, and not only gameloft, other companies does that too, shadowgun, fruit ninja, samurai vengeance 2, guerrilla bob, cut the rope and so many other games have a thd version and a regular version, I really hate having to pay twice for the same game just to avoid it seeing awful, I dont really get how dificult could it be to make a game like dead trigger that gets better graphics depending on the hardware

Gameloft even not optimized this game for Tegra 3. Like reflection effect , Motion Blur.
YOU CAN LOOK BETWEEN GALAXY S III (OR OTHER PHONES) AND PRIME , GRAPPHIC MUCH DIFFERENT. YOU CAN'T NOTICED THAT!?
I wait for this game about a month and they even not optimized for our Prime, Like other gameloft games.
If you make some games in Android , you must test your apps on every gpu chips. Why other DEVs can do? You release after iOS for month and you even not fix ANY issues. GAMELOFT sucks.
guys i love to play games on Mobiles phone
i have android phone sgs2 now i want to move on iphone 5 because of gaming capcom now releasing the tekken x street fighter for ios
i wonder that why gaming companies not release the best games for android on the other hand there are many greats game are releasing for ios
is android is not good as ios ?
is there something in android os which prevent gaming companies to release the games?
if some one explain it
sorry for bad English

Piracy. ?????
there has been couple of years of the generation of the iPhone...
that's why the iphone has more games suppot..
but now Android is getting more and more support
Piracy and Fragmentation.
Yes, I'm aware that there are strong cases that both those are mythical shortcomings, but they are the perception nonetheless.
Buy hox, Sony games soon

So you're letting a single game impact your choice on what phone you are buying?
Most games released on iOS end up on Android now, just after a delay. But like other replies, there's big piracy thanks to native sideloading ability

Google Play license check on start up, problem solved. This can be kind of a pain for wifi only devices, maybe an email registration code could be used as well with only periodic online checks. Paid software still exists on Windows (desktop) despite it being just as easy to copy and load a program on another computer. Everything has some sort of online registration these days.
The real reason games appear on iOS quicker is because thinks are all optimized for one GPU type and up until recently one screen ratio. Many android games seem to have to port graphics to each GPU type (adreno, powervr, tegra, etc). I'm not familiar with how game deving works on android, but you'd think Google would have some universal graphics method like DirectX where GPU type doesn't matter.

There are 2 point of views, where you can estimate which is better: Android or iOS.
1) Developer/coder/publisher point of view. Here, in general, Android platform is more comfortable due to:
- More easy start develop and test application (in comparison with iOS)
- More wide range of available (and not ewxpensive) devices to test. In the same time this is negative factor: you need to ensure that your app runs fine on any device with any screen resolution.
- More adequate SDK help and a lot of resources in web for developers (Some Apple Help texts on their developer site has errors!)
- Post-moderation of uploaded applications (Apple uses pre-moderation model)
- Freedom for app design. Apple has large HIG document, and can refuse your app just because "it is not so fun"... Google Play not!
2) Seller point of view. Here iOS platfom is only and the best selection. I mean typical developer, not market sharks like Gameloft, etc...
There are a lot of statistics stated that ios market is better google in times! This kills all Android positive factors.
