Are you using the stock ROM? Rooted?

As the title says, every time I go into Google wallet it says that I need to not NFC on so I go into the settings and attempt to but every time I press it, it checks and then unchecks every time. I AM rooted. But I don't see how that could affect it. Any ideas?

No Google Wallet with root?

Not sure if that might help, but it may steer you in the right direction

Yeah I did see that. But I'm not sure how it would affect my NFC. Thanks for the link though. I didn't flash a rom or factory reset anything.

Did you change batteries? If you did that's why.. the nfc chip is built into the battery

Is it really? I don't see how it's just not turning on.

Yea.... so if you change batteries it won't turn on

I didn't switch batteries though. I tried to flash back to my stock rom from when I first rooted but it's not working.

did u set up google wallet prior to going back to factory?
has nfc worked at all for u like in the past maybe when it was stock?
I set it up, rooted and tried it and it won't work now. Went back to factory image and I can't even access wallet because I can't get nfc to turn on at all. I'm gonna try to unroot and then try it and see

Lol now after trying to unroot Google wallet says it's not compatible with my country. WTF.

theres posts referring to this problem. Apparently you're supposed to clear the settings within google wallet before rooting. Google wallet may be permanently bricked on your device
I dont see how google wallet messed my nfc completely up

I wonder if since this was a customer initiated ota if HTC is keeping an eye on our phones to find out the problems. We can't turn off the check by HTC and the real date was in January for the ota to be automatically pushed? This ota of jb has way too many bugs. They even list our device as a test device if we are rooted. I wonder if people's phones who aren't rooted get the same prompt saying tell HTC cannot be disabled? Any input is helpful.

I'm 100% stock and I can disable it if I want, but I always leave that on anyways.

If you are referring to the send report to HTC in settings, I can turn it off. I'm completely stock.

Fully stock. I can turn mine off.

We did ask for JB , an that's what they gave us . We should've asked for a working version of JB , though it probably would've been a longer delay .

Mine says I can't turn it off, but I can uncheck it. That doesn't mean it is of though. I'm rooted and s-off.

I'm guessing if you get rid of the red developer text on bootup youll be able to turn it off.
Title says it all. I keep on touching this accidentally, its driving me crazy

What are you talking about? Is this with stock or something? Just use TouchWiz lockscreen if so, much better anyway.

I think this screen is what he is taking about. You have it when you have a pin code lock like my work email app requires. It can get annoying.

Hi. I am unable to send any texts. After I applied dirtyracun successfully, I decided to start fresh and wipe the internal storage(first time I did that), factory reset and system. This is very discerning as I tried methods from Sprint forums and didn't work. I even flashed team Venom rom again to update prl and profile and still nothing.

EDIT: mysteriously solved
I just got this and all the sudden I can send again.... What the heck was that? This was immediately after restoring for the 3rd time from smsbackup+.
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
I have never used smsbackup+ never seen anything like it
Are you on an aosp ROM?
Sometimes i get something similar after flashing and i think its the phone reconnecting to sprints network.
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
This problem was fixed and I believe it was from a bad restore from the call/sms log backup app smsbackup+.

So I recently got my HTC one and its great but I can't seem to change my text message noise with a custom one. If I choose one, it will show that it's applied, but then use a stock one again. It will use the custom tone for emails or other notifications though. Anyone help?
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
Did you set it using the message app and not the settings app?
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4 Beta
That did it. Thank you.
