Unlock bootloader on EU 2.3.4 FW - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I've reading many times all the Atrix forums but I've not found an answer to my question:
I've an EU Atrix, with 45.31.0.MB860.Retail.en.DE 2.3.4 firmware.
There's a method I can follow to unlock my bootloader?
Ty

No hints about EU bootloader?

you need this IHOP_Bell.rar
info>http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1136261
after unlock you need ramfix!

So it doesn't matter if I have upgraded it already to 45.31.0 EU?

[Q] Generic ROM = Unlock?

Hey! Im new (obviously) and I really don't know much about these things but from what I understand, I can flash a generic 2.1 rom using this method onto a locked, unrooted AT&T x10a, correct?
Also, if I do install the Generic 2.1 rom, does that mean my phone will be unlocked?
Thank you!
Thank you! Short and sweet, I love it

Yes, you can flash it to any branded unrooted X10.

No. It will be unbranded, but it will still be locked to AT&T, and the only way to unlock the X10 at the moment is by paying for it.

Yes, it will be debranded.
NO, it will not be unlocked. You still have to use an AT&T SIM card. If you want to unlock it, go here and contact Lancez from post #10.

[Q] Is any ICS or JB to install with 2.3.5 locked Bootloader?

I wouls like to install ICS or JB on my Photon.
However, it is 2.3.5 locked BL.
Any version that works with that ?
Thanks
It can't happen. With a locked bootloader you can only use the stock kernel.
why ? My friend have a DROID 3 running ICS

until an unlocked bootloader is leaked from motorola or someone can find a work around. you will never be able to flash anything other than a stock rom. i think everyone has given up on unlocking the bootloader. the electrify has had a locked bootloader for a year and still nothing. so don't expect anything soon if ever. sorry. :crying:

[Q] About Unlocked and Roms

Well my case is like this!
I'm looking to buy a motorola photon online,it was on spring and it suposed to be unlocked for every carrier. i'm from mexico, we use telcel.
The motorola photon only comes with GB android, and i've always like to modify my phones with roms, root, etcs.
Before i do any transaction i'd like to know if i can instal ICS roms or any other cooked roms without loosing the unlocked carrier?.
I know that theres a lot of ways on unlocking carriers like imei and other programs, but if i loose it, the unlocking is gonna cost me something?
Unlocking the bootloader is only to install roms? or i can do an unlocking carrier by unlocking the bootloader? it cost me anything?
This method by Lokifish Marz is to unlock bootloader or carrier???

unlocking bootloader and installing a custom rom will not make you lose sim unlock

sim unlocking is usually only possible via SOLD sim unlock codes so yes, if you need to sim unlock you have to pay

unlocking the bootloader is done to be able to flash custom recovery, custom ROMs and custom Kernels, improving the performance and usability of your device

bootloader unlocking and carrier unlocking are not related. bootloader unlocking can be done for free by yourself with the help of the info here in XDA. SIM unlocking requires a code you usually have to buy.

losing 4G shouldn't be of much concern to you. Telcel doesn't use WIMAX 4G so you wouldn't have had any use to it anyway.

if the cell is 2.3.5 already it cannot be unlocked and you CANNOT downgrade it because you risk HARD brick
The sim is only locked in US.
All other sims work.
But stuck on GB. Even if you could flash ICS the photons kernel is so old the video doesn't work well.

[Q] Is my bootloader unlocked?

I recently had to down grade to my g/f's old photon i know its rooted but im not sure if the bootloader is unlocked is there a way to tell if its unlocked or is it a given since its rooted

If it is unlocked you could see the word "unlocked" above the Motorola logo during booting. If you don't found it
Then Check the android version,
if it is 2.3.4 it may be unlocked or you can unlock it.
But if it is 2.3.5 forget about unlocking.

Google "android safestrap", it should point you in the right direction. What are GSM ROMS?
