Can anyone help me how to install motoswich.apk...i uninstaled the application from my phone and i have a black screen..
can anyone help me with this application and how to install this on my phone..i tried with Android injector but i didn't worked...or a solution to install new software (i can't activate usb debugging)
sorry my bad english
And that is why you ALWAYS enable usb debugging. You can either flash a sbf if its available if your phone is from Motorola.
Or, you can try to flash a system partition over your current one. So what phone do you have? One option might not be
available if your phone isn't that well known.
Okay nevemind. This kinda happened for me too. What you wanna do is download a homescreen replacement app (such as launcher pro, go launcher, adw launcher) by going to the android market and afterwards your phone should start installing it by itself.Be careful not to factory reset!

Hi. This is a simple question but I can't seem to find the answer. Is it possible to re-install the current ROM/Firmware of the X10 mini from the phone ? I went to all the menus but can't find this. Where is the option to whype the phone completely and re-install to default settings ?
Use seus, be carefull the new fw isnt rootable

First I want to do this from the phone.
Second, I have just downloaded SEUS (2.10.12.15) and I have followed every options in there, and the only thing this software can tell me is that my phone is up to date and I can't do anything : I can't reload, can't re-instal firmware... I this normal ? Do you want screenshots ? (By the way my phone is running 2.1 and is rooted).
screenshots of seus
Here are some screenshots of seus, and I don't see where you can re-install the firmware...
Another thing, people keep telling me to go to Settings - SD Card and Memory - and to restore factory settings from there, but I don't have that option either, I just see options for SD card and available free space. Can anyone tell me how to restore factory settings on a rooted x10 mini running 2.1 ?
Another strange thing, I have a friend with X10 mini pro rooted running 2.1 and he has the restore factory settings option in there, and if you go to the SE website they this for the Pro :
http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/sup...ckupandrestorets/xperiax10minipro?cc=au&lc=en
and for the mini they don't says anything about that...
Go to settings, there is something with security, there you can load factory settings...

try Settings/Privacy and there you'll see Factory data reset
another thing, try uninstalling SEUS (and PC Companion) from your PC, reboot and reinstall, just to make sure it clears your cache...
and try if the repair/reinstall option for your firmware finally shows up in SEUS.
cheers!
Dude ! You're a ****ing genius. Thank you so much. They put the damn thing in Privacy, in 1.6 it was somewhere else. Go figure.

Hello friends, i'm new to here
i have a serious problem with my htc salsa. In past days i had installed Link2SD app in my device, Yesterday i'm moved some system applications sucha as calendar etc.. to my SDstorage via Link2SD. After that i'm just switch my phone. Now the phone just hangs at htc start up screen. I'm tried factory rest via HBoot. After that it boot in to home screen, but No menu items on it. The device is now only capable for receiving phone calls. What are the solutions over this condition..? Somebody told me installing new ROM fix the problem, How to install a new rom, and which rom i should install? Help me..
restore to stock rom
if you did not unlock your bootloader and never flash the customise rom ,, you can restore to stock rom in some easy way just as press some key and hold on few seconds maybe.
no menu display? you can use some pc android manager software to install some menu luncher to your phone. and then replace it
i had flshed my rom..
I got the Huawei Ascend G510-0100 today and I really disliked the UI from Huawei so I got ADW launcher. I got titanium backup and uninstalled the original user interface/launcher. It was working well but for some stupid reason I decided to experiment and freeze the ADW launcher and then try it out. I pressed home and it showed a black screen. I factory reset my phone and there's still a black screen but I can access the google intro.
Can I restore the original rom for the phone? Please help. I don't even know where to get the original rom and if I did how do I install it?
Please this is urgent.
Thank you
I was stupid, I format the user data and when I rebooted the phone I got update notifications on the bar and from there I went through to play store and got a launcher from there.
Good to hear that you got it resolved.
Note that right now you do not have any launcher installed as a system app only a user downloaded launcher so when you will factory reset your phone the launcher will be deleted. Convert a launcher to a system app to prevent this.
But next time don't try to mess alot with system apps. Having two apps of the same kind (in your case the launchers, i.e one system launcher app and other user installed launcher) would not hurt much would they?
And also always make a backup of your system in the recovery before experimenting with anything.

Are you able to boot into Android recovery (once the phone is off, hold the power button and the volume up key at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Android on its back being open comes on acreen). You can try and factory reset the phone.
If this isn't a solution you will need to unlock the bootloader with Android toolkit. You can get the bootloader unlock code from Huawei's website.
You can flash a custom recovery like the newest TWRP for your phone and try installing a custom rom if you can't find a copy of the original rom
I have a Goophone i5S. It's an iPhone 5S clone running a heavily-iOS7-themed Android 4.2.1 I'm having a problem installing most launcher on the Play Store. First I tried was Apex Launcher. When I tried to open it after installing, the phone suddenly restarted and went to boot loop. The way I got out of it is by plugging my phone to the pc then the phone booted and asked what launcher to use on default. I chose the default iphonehome then uninstalled the Apex Launcher.
I made a backup from the stock recovery (bcause there's no CWM or TWRP for this phone yet and I dont have knowledge on porting or compiling)
and tried other launchers such as Nova, ADW, GO Launcher and others but they all caused the phone to bootloop.
Any clue on whats causing this problem? I really want to use an original android launcher on this phone.
Thanks in advance
So, I bought a cheap non-branded chinese android smartphone. The handset was full of useless pre-installed apps and I just cleaned them out. I rooted the phone with the VRoot tool and it looked like everything goes well, untill I made a factory reset. I installed a new launcher, of course to the /system/app/ folder and it worked with it. The phone has some kind of startup setup (like the iPhones) which comes up after the reset, before the launcher could start. In this procedure, the last step is to tap on an android logo to begin using the phone. So for now, even if I tap it for a houndred of times, the thing won't start, it sticks in this setting window. I pretty much think, this happens because of the new launcher, because the app is probably looking for the old one. Now I am in the deep sh***t.
The followings are known:
- I can't use ADB to repair it, because the factory reset automatically unchecks the USB debugging.
- No firmware or recovery backup available to reflash the handset. The phone has a qualcomm MSM7225 CPU.
- I have the factory apps.
- The phone has factory recovery, so I can't install custom backup.
- I can enter in fastboot mode.
I think, this is all I know. Anyone has some advice to repair it?
Thanks is advance.
