Basically, my phone USB connector, is for some reason not recognizing anything being plugged into it. I have tried a different cable and i get the same response :/ NOTHING!
Plug into the computer - Nothing
Plug into the wall - Nothing.
I need to flash my phone back to stock, but the only method i can think of is via USB, Over the Air updates are canceled out via the current software I have on my phone. So is their any other possible way ?
Thanks
I suffer from exactly your same issue.. sad 'cause i now have a very expensive brick .. Already covered the topic in my thread, but there is no evident resolution...
I suspect the USB circuit and/or port is defective , or poorly implemented, and breaks easily...

I would go in to your service provider, and hopefully you get an idiot who doesn't realise you were trying to root your Xperia, and they might replace it for you.
Thing thing is, it was going to be sent back for a repair. When the tech guys look at my firmware , they will realise I have rooted my phone, i was hoping to Un-root my phone and then send it back .. Or will this not matter?
Is their not a way to flash my phone back to normal, via the SD-Card?? somthing must be possible if Over Air is Possible..
Any Idea's anybody please?? thanks

I don't know what it would exactly do, but in the Second card
&. Phone storage section of the settings app, there's a factory data reset button, try that.

Hey mate, ive sorted it out i phoned up the Network Operater, and explained I wasnt a satisfied customer, because Ive had the same problem once before (this time i sent it through phones4u with a 30 day wait before i had my phone back :/..... ) Nevertheless Orange currier are coming out tommorow between 6-10 with a new phone battery and charger. which i couldnt knock back (probs reconditioned) but nvm .
Will try and make my phone as clean as possible without any root settings. before take my phone away and probs fix & reflash the phone to factory settings anyway so i dont think it makes any odd's what i do now .
am quite surprised the woman on the phone offered me this type of service, as I got the phone from Phones 4 u, bet yet Orange are the company doing my replacement.
Funny quote from the phone call :-
"Are you sure you for the phone from us sir?"
"erm, yes"
"Ive never seen this message on the system before, its saying your not one of our customers"
"I must be one of your customer's otherwise you wouldnt have all my details"
"Yes thats right ill just ignore the message and send you the replacement"
is there still no solution to this because i need to ship mine back for service.
Have you tried adbwireless apk. Allows you to connect to your phone via adb over your wireless network. You maybe able to modify bin4ys flash tool and flash wirelessly?
Worth a try?

Hey why don't you try Zdzihu's recovery menu? You can flash some of the ROMS from Jerpelea without touching a computer... Of course you'll need to download the ROM straight to your device...

I've got this same problem too. (appologies for multi posting, I did search first).
No response since the upgrade. I'll look into Zdzihu's recovery menu.
If anyone gets any news, please shout.
OK put Zdzihu recovery on and flashed to Jerpelea's lite rom without the need for a USB....... however the problem still stands! Plug in the wall charger and nothing..... plug in PC USB and .... NOTHING.
I got this phone as a prototype before they were released, by a mate in the industry. So have no warrenty to send it back with. But I love the phone so any more ideas?
I have left it switched off to preserve the battery until a solution is found.
I remain hopeful!
Plz delete.

What usb cable are you using? Did you get one WITH the phone from a friend, did it come with another phone, or did you buy it from a store? I used to work at RadioShack and we had different usb cables for different phones. The connector may be the same, but the pin position in the cable can be different. A normal looking USB cable that would come with say, a motorola phone couldn't be used to charge a blackberry despite the connection being the same port type.

Did they fix it or give you a new one and were you rooted? I have the same problem with the broken usb but I rooted and stripped all the bloatware and now have no way to flash back to stock rom. I still have the Rogers rom but streamlined.
Does anyone know how to put stuff back on like Timescape. I have all the apks from this forum and installed all the timescape stuff but it doesn't show up in the app drawer. If I clean up the phone and send it back will they know it was rooted keeping in mind that it is still the stock Rogers rom just with less crap on it.
I think one solution, since you already have Zdzihu's recovery menu, will be to ask someone who is using Rogers to create a backup image and upload it some where. Then you can use the restore tool from recovery menu and you'll be set up with Roger's again. Unfortunately I cannot help you with this since I'm in Guatemala but probably someone else can... I hope you can fix it men.

I'm guessing if you got it for free, it wouldn't be too painful to actually buy one off eBay...
Ok, yeah, it's a stupid suggestion, but I guess you get what you pay for...

Edit: nevermind. found generic rom here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9134882&postcount=1 at the bottom. going to test now and see if it works.
Hello all, this is my first time here and my phone just wont boot after root it i deleted many apps from system/app and now i cant boot and it gets stuck at the sony ericsson logo, altho i can get into the phone by adb shell but doesnt recognize the sdcard however i can get into the sdcard on windows when i plug the phone (usb)

that, my friend was a stupid idea
i dont know if there is a recovery for the x10 mini (since i have a g1). if there is you could easily flash the rom again. look up if there is a recovery . if not:
you say you have adb root acces? you could try to adb push the deleted apk`s and see if it will boot. if you dont have the files on your computer search for a dump and copy the apk`s from there
i have no experience with tis device so all on your own risk

You deleted the build.prop??? wtf for
Your phone is bricked and there is a good chance it will be bricked forever.
The only thing I can think of is to try to force the update through seus, but if you've deleted the build prop from "system" this may not work.

Su wouldnt work, cuz it hasn't started yet. Use rootshell instead. I hope you has not removed rootshell after rooting. If you have removed rootshell, try to regain it using exploid method.

maybe you can connect the phone to pc, start SEUS. Then hold topkey and backkey, at reset release topkey.
perhaps you need the correct timing.
wish you luck
Thanks guys. I really appreciate your suggestions but anyway since my unit is still within warranty I’ll just let the SE service center fix it for me though I have to wait 3 working days to get it back and if there a chance I’ll try to ask them how they fix it so I can share it here. ^^

Yupp, warranty is long gone.. Rooting voids your warranty. Although you can get it repaired through se service center for a price.

well if that's the case then..
I'll just be more careful next time
No harm in trying. Just send it back and see what happens.
Large companies like SE don't like bad publicity so they may repair it regardless.

True.. i just got my phone back after 3 working days and they just gave it back to me not mentioning the phone problem and my phone warranty is still active.
3 days!?
how did you send it to them, service/repair center?
with my older se devices I had always wait for about 4-6 weeks after given it to a repair center.
Hello I have researched many sites and I have no found a solution:
the x10i, an international x10 has a common problem: it will start up with a vibration and have a black screen still. It won't boot up. Has ANYONE found a solution this problem?
Any technicians out there that want to impart their knowledge? My phone has not been working well over a month. Is there any technicians you can refer me to? PLEASE, I am need of help. No one on the internet has solutions and I am unable to get the information to the international warranty.
If anyone has the information to the international warranty for Sony Ericsson please tell me. Thank you.
Can the phone boot up into FLASH MODE? Like for using repair for seus?
Start up seus
Hook usb cord to computer. When it says to.
Press and hold back space on x10 and insert usb cable into phone. And follow directions on computer screen.
U know what seus is right?
A program by sony ericsson u can download of their website

Hi when I use the SEUS my phone is "not connected". My computer will not recognize the phone no matter what I do. I have left it charging [although I do not know if it is charging, there is no screen display at all] and it is still not recognized on my computer.
My last solution is try flashtool but at least try it before u think about turning in your phone to repair or something
Flashtool connects the same way but it connects through a different program.
Flashtool is availible through the x10 development section.
It may not work though since ur phone isnt reconized by the computer. But try all solutions the site provides here
Sent from XDA Premium from my X10a rooted running 2.2.1 CM Rom from Rendeiro2005
I really don't feel comfortable flashing my phone because I would have to root it first. I'd like my warranty to still be intact.
Are there any other options?
Flashtool i believe DOESNT RUIN WARRANTY correct me if i am wrong other xda members, but it will flash the latest sony hardware to your phone. Its the same hardware from seus but u get to pick the baseband version and build number of your choice. This erases all data off phone so this isnt rooting.
Seues flashes firmware too.
Xrecovery flashes ROMS
Sent from XDA Premium from my X10a rooted running 2.2.1 CM Rom from Rendeiro2005
My concern is that the phone is not being recognized at all by the computer. Not too sure flashing it will happen in the first place.
But did u try it? Sometimes flashtool reconizes differently than seus in my opinion
Sent from XDA Premium from my X10a rooted running 2.2.1 CM Rom from Rendeiro2005
Thank you but firstly does anyone know if flashing voids warranty?
It shouldnt since its SE firmware from SE but flashtool puts it on ur phone for you
Sent from XDA Premium from my X10a rooted running 2.2.1 CM Rom from Rendeiro2005
It doesnt void warranty.. nor does rooting or anything else atm for that matter.. because everything you do on the x10 is reverisble (as long as the bootloader aint cracked.. even the bypass which they are experimenting with now wont cause any harm)
And one way to reverse it is using flashtool and an original se ROM. But if even flashtool doesnt recognize your phone, then i suggest you use your precious warranty...

Hmm, my suspicion may be wrong. Have you tried using SEUS instead of PC Companion?
If you can reflash the entire phone back to stock Eclair but the problem persists, then that could be trouble.
Try SEUS and even try Flashtool if that's no good.

Hi all,
Yestarday my XPERIA P was suddenly formatted and everything is lost (It appears like brand new) ! Any way to recover my files?
I dont know if the best way to proceed is becoming to root mode and install an app, or maybe using a PC is possible to do something.
Ihave tried some recover software but it does not recognise the device ( because it is MTP or something I think..)
Can any one help me?

Hmmmm....... Did it "format" after connecting to a pc? If yes you might have accidentally formatted it
Rooting will not help as the files are gone and you cant recover unless you did a backup with the sony backup and restore or titanium backup(or something similar) Do not root for no reason as it will void ur warranty.

Any idea of what to do?
