Issue during a call - echo , low mic - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Helloy guys , greetings from Bulgaria.
I am new with the android system , coming from iOS and this is my new phone - Samsung Galaxy S II and i love it ... but there is an issue during a call ... peaple are complaining that when they are talking with me the hear there voice like echo ... The echo is disappearing when I turn off the noise reduction. Also with the echo my voice is very low ... and by turning the noise reduction everything is ok. Can you tell me can i fix this with some software or i should go to replace it in the store from where i bought it. Is this software issue or hardware ... i have rooted my phone and it is with darkyrom and i am affraid that my warranty is gone.
I read every theme in the forum and googled everywhere but cant find any true solution ... i tried with darkyrom 2.3.5 and again the same thing .. i just want to disable totally the NOISE REDUCTION during call instead i disable it everytime when i answer a call.
PS: Excuse me for my English

[Q] CustomROM's with Noise Reduction off ???

Hey
I'm searching for CustomROM's that have the Noise Reduction set to OFF by default or have the possibility to install a mod for this ? If you are on a ROM that have this feature, plz post it here.
Thx alot
Mines not set to off by default, you set it yourself when you hit the menu tab during a call.Theres a call recordind mod file also.Take a look if you like.

Yeah. I know that is possible to switch it off during the call. But it's just annoying to do this in each call. Because of that, i was searching for a solution to have it off by default. But thanks anyway for the reply.

See this thread. It can offer details on how to recompile phone.apk to have NR off by default (except for the first call only after a reboot). If you browse the thread, some people have posted their recompiled .apk's with this feature. (NR off by default)
EDIT: I followed the link from cooza above; that ROM has this mod built into it. So he essentially gave you what you are asking for.

[Q] OOdie Miui Custom Ringtone (Newbie user)

hello Xda users:
First of all, thanks for such an amazing and informative forum, its great just love it, and also thanks to all devs and specially to those working on MIUI its just way to beautyful and great.
now back to my post:
im new to all this about changing FWs and software to mobilephones, im a proud owner of a Xperia X10a and last weekend with a friend of mine installed OOdie MIUI wich i think is MIUI 2.1.20 version or at least that is what the "build number" says on the About info in my phone.
my issue is that i try to set a custom ringtone for my calls but does not work, tried with other MP3 and files but nothing seems to work. also when i try to listen to music the app keeps freezing and in the worst case scenario it power off my phone.
my question is, is there any newest version of MIUI? how can i know if mine is the lastest one? and finnally, is this an known issue? its there a fix for it?
everything else is just great but i would love to have a custom ringtone with me.
Thanks in advice i hope im not breaking any rules... (i searched with no luck)
PD: Any english Failureness its my fault, its not my primary Langage, im sorry.
ok. so i changed the song on the Theme settings and not in the System settings and seems to work just fine, at first didnt work with the file i left on the ringtone folder, but worked with some other i choose.

service mode audio not selectable

hi. i've upgraded from gb2.3.5 to ics 4.0.3 on my sgs2. now, if i want to change the default audio setting in the service mode, it cannot be selected. all others work fine. if i select "5" (for audio), it just shows the same screen. in gb i could change the settings. why?
As posted already search and see if that post has an answer .

Any traction on this? I can't access the Audio option either. I tried to load up the serviceModeApp.apk from an earlier firmware but there is a checksum in place.
Does anyone with more android experience have any luck?
i'm also looking for a solution to this - incredible that there isn't more threads on this as i thought it was a fairly wide issue

A hundred threads just mess the forum up and dont fix an issue .
Its already been posted that ICS appears to be missing that option 5 in some versions .
Why ask Samsung .

Themes / Apps / Mods [CLOSED]Audio switcher

Looking for an app that allows me to easily switch from Bluetooth to phone speaker for videos and such. Lg had a feature built in on the notification panel that allowed me to quickly switch between connected BT devices and phone speaker for audio. I haven't found anything like that on this phone. I have to completely turn off my bluetooth if I want to show a video to somebody really quick. Very frustrating
Please delete thread. After much searching I found it.
Can you share the app details?
Sounds like an interesting use case.
Thanks

Dude. If you find a solution to a problem you've asked about post it instead of just saying you fixed it. That way you might aid others that experience the same issue

Dude, not a single person replied inquiring before I asked to have it deleted . All you have to do is go to the "now playing" tab on the notification panel, and select the speaker you want the audio to come out of.
