So I've tried uploading several 3D pictures directly from my phone to Picasa and Flickr without any luck. Flickr tells me it has to convert the 3D pictures to 2D and when I upload to Picasa it always fails and says service error (though it does give me the option to upload it in 3D).
So how do you guys share your 3D pictures online? Can it be done directly from the 3vo?
Thanks in advance
I wonder the same thing without having to convert.

Wondering the same thing, so I upload to Picasa, and I see the file being uploaded /via My Uploads (pretty large file, can watch the progress.) so the 1.7mb'ish gets 100% then "failed, service error."
What gives? Tried using a different album, different pictures, on wifi, off-of wifi, nothing, same issue.
Anyone sharing 3d photos, if so How?
Dropbox works, as far as I know you can't do it on picasa or flickr.

You are putting them in a public folder and sharing that url?
I also found that you can use gmail to share the images, The receiver can download it and view (similar to dropbox I guess) using gmail.com (the gmail app just provides a preview, not the entire file.)
Any other ways?
3d Video is so easy to share, upload to youtube and done. Why not pics? lol

Hello, yesterday I have flashed Revolutionary HD (ICS 4.0.3 v.6.2.1) ROM on my sensation HTC XE. And since him I have pixilated contact pictures.
I have already uninstalled the Facebook app., and have synchronised my contacts again. However, they are still pixilated.
What can i do?
P.S.: with Revolutionary HD (Android 2.3.5) I don't have this problem
thx
does somebody have an idea?
It's a known problem on Android since a long time which still hasn't been fixed. Gmail and Facebook sync gives pixellated pictures. The only way to sync and get high res pictures in ICS is if your contacts have Google+ profiles, then Android will pull high res pics from there.

and when i add a new contact manualy and add him a pic from my own gallery, there still does not remain blurred, and i have dont sync this contact with google
Hello!
I know this issue has been here already but thought I'd bring it up once more.
I am in love with my andorid phone so much that I put ICS on it and it's awesome!
The thing that ruins the great experience [ as for many others ] are the low-res contact pictures from Google sync.
The thing that I want is this: Sync all my contacts with HQ pics with Google [ don't we all ].
The alternatives of whom I know is syncing facebook pictures with existing Google contacts. Well.. For some reason this doesn't work for me as I don't need ALL facebook contacts in my phone. I need only the Google contacts. And the pics synced to the phone from FB are still in low-res [ is this how it's supposed to be? ].
So, what I want is my google contacts with high quality pictures.
I tried merging facebook contacts with google contacts using Google Contact Sync application [ http://heartofangel.com/google-contact-sync/ ] and it did the work great. Only again, the low-res, pixelated pictures jump out.
I spent the last two and a half hours searching for a fix, I did not find any that would be automated. Manually setting pictures is not an option as I frequently flash ROM's.
If not Google, is there any alternative syncing service that could provide my contacts with High Quality pictures? I'm even willing to merge to another service.
Or any idea why Google doesn't just do the HQ pics?
Help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. Just noticed that some 5 contacts have a descent quality picture. Checked many contacts and there is no difference in quality of their profile pics. What the hell?
Well you could individually take a photo with your phone and make it the contact pic or download a pic off Facebook and link it to the contact on the phone individually.
I understand this may take time, but I am not aware of any alternatives.
Edit: HTC links contact pics to Facebook automatically at a high quality
I have a HTC Sensation with Virtuous Inquisition 3.1.0b3 ROM.
Well, yes. It saves the HQ pictures but then I have ALL of the Facebook contacts and frankly I don't need all of them in my phone app..
Manually setting pictures would be a real pain because everytime I flash a different ROM or reflash this one, I would have to do all of that again.
Maybe any app or piece of software for Windows that could do this autmatically?
Like, for an example, sync android contacts to the computer, in that programm I just set all the data, including pictures, and sync those with the phone after every flash?
U could use a Sense ROM that links it... In Facebook sync options just click "Sync with Existing" and it only does the ones already in Ur contacts

i also have been searching for this solution for a long time but yet no result... why is not Google aware of it????
Hey guys, i've been researching this problem as well, and came along this google plus post

Can you guys help me? My wife has the One, and I am not that familiar with HTC phones. It is on 4.3 and rooted. She says that when she saves pictures from an MMS, they are not showing up in the gallery, even after a phone reboot. Do you know where they are stored on the internal sd or why they are not showing in the gallery?
Thanks.
EDIT: Never mind. They were buried in the gallery a few levels deep.
I had been using Dropbox for Camera Uploads that I take with my phone so that I know I have them backed up, but Dropbox has such a low storage that I wanted to turn to Google Drive/Google Photos.
Ever since I made the attempted change, it's been a huge headache. From what I've gathered, if you use Auto Backup for your phone, photos that you take will be uploaded to Google Photos BUT not into ANY album and simply sorted by date. Even local files that are neatly organized into folders are just thrown into Google Photos, forcing you to hope you can find that one photo you are looking for.
Of course, you can put those photos into albums AFTER you back them up/upload them but that's a huge pain in the arse to do, so why do they NOT have it organized by folders/albums? Is there no way to do this? I also wanted to be able to do that by having my photos from my desktop to backup to Google Photos but it is a hellish nightmare trying to sort through all of them.
I've searched and searched for questions related to Google Photos but almost none of them have been found, thus I am asking here. Does anyone have anything to help me? I just want to be able to organize my photos (around 2k worth) and not have to take a day or two just to sort my photos in albums when they should be in the first place. :/
Never use it myself, but the Help page here: https://support.google.com/plus/answer/1647509 describes how to set up the folders to backup. Maybe that'll do it?
