I would like to see if anyone who has installed the latest update (wifi calling) to their t-mobile amaze can verify the following.
Phone is configured to sync with my corporate Exchange account (activesync), PIN required.
Prior to update:
Phone is locked screen off, notification is triggered, drag dismiss into circle, unlock screen is shown.
After update:
Phone is locked screen off, notification is triggered, drag dismiss into circle, PIN screen opens, enter pin, calendar event is shown.
Also, prior to the update if I snoozed an event it would never be re triggered like it would be in Outlook, not sure how this part works after the update.

I've noticed that the stock lockscreen never shows up when the phone is protected by a password. When I turn on the screen, I am automatically prompt to enter my password without ever seing the lockscreen. The only time the lockscreen shows is when the phone is not locked.
I spoke with Samsung this morning and they said this is how it's supposed to work but I just think it's pretty weird to have it working this way. I'm coming from an HTC and the lockscreen always shows when you turn on the screen, whether the phone is protected by a password or not. Same thing on CM7.
So my question is as follows: Is there any way to force the stock lockscreen to show-up prior to being prompt to enter the password? The reason I'd like to have the lockscreen showing is that it gives you the possibility to see some notifications from the lockscreen, and launch the given application right away.
I know there are some lockscreen apps out there but the problem with them is that they often fail to launch (takes a few seconds before they kick in). Also, when the phone is still unlocked (I have a 5 mins delay prior to locking), I'd get to see two lockscreens back to back (app + stock), which is annoying.
Thanks!
Hey all- I've been using the HTC EVO for the last couple of years and just got the Galaxy S3 on Verizon last week. I'm trying to figure out how to do something on this phone that I was able to do on my EVO, and that's to have separate time out values for the Swipe Lock screen vs. the PIN password lock screen.
I sync my phone to my corporate Exchange server and they enforce the PIN lock screen, which is OK with me. I've set the timeout value to maximum settings (13 minutes), but what I still want is the ability to have the swipe lock screen enabled for anytime I turn off the phone with the power button and then turn it back on so that I reduce butt dialing, etc... But I can't seem to configure the swipe lock screen to come up except for it to come up at the same time the PIN lock screen is activated.
In the security settings, there's the option to enable unlocking "With swipe lock-Use secured lock with swipe lock" and I've selected that, but the swipe lock screen only appears when the PIN lock is configured to display. I want the swipe lock screen to appear independently of the PIN lock screen. The swipe lock should appear anytime I turn on the phone, but the PIN lock screen should only appear after 13 minutes of inactivity. The EVO had this option, but I can't seem to get the S3 to do it.
Any ideas?
When my phone is lock and I put my hand over the sensor the screen comes up showing me the preview. It will show text notification icon, gmail icon and work email icon, but there is a Missed call notification, then next to that is an EMAIL notification. I have a work and personal email accounts set up on this, but the email icon next to the missed calls always shows zero even if I have unread mail in both accounts. Does anybody know how to set the email notification on that screen to actually show the number of emails?
Nobody has any answers for this issue?
Is there no way from the lock screen or home screen to see the text notification and simply dismiss it because I have no need to reply. Everything I try still keeps the message active with more reminders. If only android especially LG could just simply make messaging as simple as an iPhone.
A few times a day, a Gmail notification appears in the notification area (top of screen) and also as a button on on the icon for the Gmail app. When I expand the notification, all it is for is that Gmail is Syncing. The notification automatically disappears when finished syncing. Is there a way to disable that particular syncing notification? It makes me think that I have a new email, and only way to tell is by viewing the notification, or waiting to see if it disappears.
I think this started happening ever since I added a second account.
I am on updated, stock, un-rooted Android.
Thank you,
