This is my first post in this forum. I already searched the official thread, and I searched all other threads and I can't find a solution. So I flashed Ice Cream Sunday 2 to my phone last night. Everything is working great, but the only problem I have is the color of the buttons and the text on it are both black, which makes it unreadable. I tried switching to another theme, the instructions said apply theme and reboot. The weird thing was it changed the color once I applied it, but when I rebooted it reverted back to the original color. So do you guys know how to simply remove the CM7 themes and use the stock gingerbread look?
Additional issue: Samsung Kies can't connect to my phone after I flashed it. Is there any other way to sync my .psb contacts file to my phone?
EDIT: I gave up and just flashed another ROM (CM7.2 vo1). Now everything is working good. You may now delete/lock this thread.
Since i dont use that ROM i dont know all of the details, therefore i cannot help you with the first problem.
The rom is based on CM7 (thats the one, right?), thats why it wont work with KIES, sync your contacts with google contacts instead, it's cloudbased so you wont ever need to save your contacts in a compact file.
For the theme problem, you can search for mixer theme and install it
Font color goes better with this theme i guess

I've tried a lot of themes already. There seems to be some kind of problem with compatibility because they all don't work 100%. That's why I don't want to use any kind of theme anymore, just simple GingerBread look.
Well if u want gingerbread look.try touchwizzed theme from market.it gives stock look.even if it say some asset missing while applying it works 100% on my ics2..

So I'm a bit of a typography nerd, and lately I've been hooked on the stunning "Comfortaa" font by aajohan (all credit to him for the original font!) and have replaced the system fonts on my phone with Comfortaa, and decided I wanted to replace the samsung lockscreen clock text font too.
Of course, samsung couldn't be like google and just use the Clockopia.ttf font in /system/fonts for their lockscreen, instead they made each number a .png image, in two separate sizes.
So today I finally made my own images using comfortaa, and I'm quite happy with how it turned out, and maybe somebody else will want to use this too.
Anyway, I don't use metamorph, and this is my first time making a metamorph theme, but it seems simple enough, hopefully it works (I don't honestly know, I just modified my framework-res.apk directly.)
And like always...
make a nandroid backup first, and I am absolutely not responsible for anything that happens to your phone because of applying this mod.
cheers, =)
Very nice . Now I'm gonna need to change my font to match. Good work +1 wanna hook up the link to your battery mod?

Didn't work for me but then again I don't really use metamorph all that often. I really like the comforta font though so great idea

Hi,
I made a handful of versions of my battery mod, mostly with the stock international i9000 "matte" version of touchwiz, you can find the thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=758797
I personally don't mind the black & blue color scheme of touchwiz, I just hate the custom "glossy/glass" version that samsung did for only the vibrant.
Cheers, =)

Hi,
Yeah, I don't personally use metamorph, I just know that so many people have so many different themes they prefer to use, so it seemed easier to try and throw a morph together instead of uploading complete pre-compiled versions of framework-res.apk. Its even worse now with so many variations, I'd need one for Eugene's roms, one for Bionix, one for stock JFD and another for stock JI6, then versions for both the stock JFD and JI6 lockscreen mod variations too, lol.
So, anyway, if the morph doesn't work, can someone try to point me in the right direction why?
And of course, you can always do the mod manually too:
download the zip and just extract the 22 png images
adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk
open framework-res.apk it with 7-zip, and drag-and-drop my comfortaa images into /res/drawable-hdpi.
adb push ~path_to_modded_file /system/framework/framework-res.apk
then reboot into clockwork recovery, and wipe cache & dalvik-cache
reboot one last time
Cheers, =)
an you tell me what battery you have I like that icon.

Yeah, this Morph doesn't work. Just tried it. Said something about a theme control file missing. Hope this helps you, the purple lock screen looks awsome!
s0niqu3:.
Not having made a morph myself, I am basing this off of just comparing your XMP file to a morph I have applied many times (EVO BlackBar)...
It appears there is nothing wrong.
Not sure why it sin't working. Currently doing a nandroid. Going to try it out as this is a great idea! Surprised it hasn't been done yet. Could go hand-in-hand with the FlipFont.apk thread.
ROM NOW IN THIS THREAD, PLEASE DELETE THIS http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12330981#post12330981

perfect work
am going to give you 2 files you have to add it to the theme
i'll upload it and PM
There wont be any ROM updates, theme itself has been in the making a while now and basically final, any changes to the theme will be released in the theme thread and would only need to be flashed as a theme, but tbh I dont think any changes need made. The ROM itself wont be its good to go
how to instal extras?
i'm on baseband 2.0.49 so i take it that's not good?
how about black market do it there ?
@Astral07 - Yeah you need latest Firmware from sony first to update baseband and get the official multi-touch. Also to intall the latest xrecovery, You can use FlashTool to update to latest here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=936733
@quattre222 - To use the icons you can create custom shortcuts on you homescreen with launcherpro and select your own icons for the apps or with ADW Launcher. The backgrounds are just normal wallpapers, The dock bars also can be chosen in Launcherpro and ADW launcher

I have made some themes based off of UpwardSpirals Themes for the Theme Chooser App in CM7, also used DontPanics associated metamorph files. Also ported the Rockin Rainbow from Mr.DSL from the Captivate forum and I just received a PM from Corinacakes who was the ORIGINAL developer for Rockin Rainbow so MUCH THANKS to Corinacakes for their great themes, I have replied back the her/him and will wait for approval or denial on using their great theme any further. . So if you like these please visit there sites listed below to thank them for their work. I have just made personal changes to the whole thing, made all the changes into one flashable cwm.zip of CM7-KANG and wanted to share.
There link to their Original Post are here:

I Finished the themes off with Go Launcher themes for finishing touches using Team Carbons themes to match the whole rom together. These can be flashed over CM7 already installed or for first time flashing CM7. You could finish off the complete theme with using Go Keyboard Matching themes as that is one thing that doesn't flash well during my testing. (Some pics show the Go Keyboards Themes from Team Carbon.
This would not be possible without the GREAT WORK done by TeamHacksung with CM7 and I am using the newest CM7 7.2 Kang build with the T9 dialer. Also UpwardSpiral and DontPanic, Corinacakes and lastly Go Launcher and Team Carbon. I did this for fun and just to do it for personal use. I will try to update all the files often if/when important CM7 Nightlies resume or CM7 KANG builds come out with more specific updates that effect our phone (ATT SGS2).
All the themes are overwritten whenever a CM7 Nightly or Nandroid Backup is flashed over it in case you want to go back to stock cm7.
NOTE this is not really for those that constantly flash cm7 and updated nightlies( when we have them) since all this can be done by using the Theme Chooser App, Theme Chooser theme apk, Metamorph files and Zip-Themer, installing Go Launcher and themes of your choice, Go Contact themes for themed Calendar Widget, Contacts Widget, Messaging Widget. I just have put them ALL together into one flashable CM7 7.2 KANG.cwm file. This will flash the newest CM7 and all the setup mostly taken care of. It only leaves a couple things that are quickly setup in CyanogenMode Settings and GoLaucher Preferences that should take a mere 30 seconds.
What is THEMED: BOOT Animation, Dialer Screen, Notification Bar themed, Extended Power Button Screen, theme colored app icons, plus maybe a few things I cannot think of right now. Below are some screenshots so you can see what it entails.
NOTE AGAIN.... FLASHING ANY NIGHTLY OR NANDROID BACKUPS OVER THIS WILL COMPLETELY REMOVE ALL THE APPS AND SETTINGS INVOLVED.

There should be about 20+ fonts included to choose from in there. I use font changer app from the market to pick which font i want to use. If you dont find the fonts under system/media then I can upload the package of them all to use with font changer.

While your in cwm recovery flash the zip once. When it is done before you reboot flash it a second time. Also if your still having an issue after a double flash then wipe data/factory reset. Then reflash. Possibly something left over from your previous rom. Or second tbing is download it again in case you got a bad download.

Flashing is just applying something as far as softwate or firmware onto your phone. Kind of like flashing a bios on a pc or installing a operating system. When flashing this you are installing CM7( CYANOGENMOD 7.2) onto your phone. So your flashing a new rom.

indeed.
ones i'm talkin bout are the plain white glowing circles. i may have to edit this one on my own -ripping em apart now *edit* 100% that somewhere lies these files already done 1000x over I know this b/c haphazardly i have installed once again CM7 RC2 and over it the ics.apk theme found in a thread with Zed0 ~ from that thread i ran into some of the icons ~ but they were from a previous KANG, and thus could not be used due to size parameters + the need for .xml edits (lol) ~ i am looking into a "online night class for android hacker wannabees ~ (people who feel like helping random dude ~ recommend one)
Patienly i will wait (and continually i will google lol)
ICS theme for CM7 - awesome $hiz
*edit*
located drawables ~ framework-res.apk\drawable-hdpi\jog_ring_xxxxxx
found suitable white circles / swapped out, pushed the framework and voila' ~ now i need to theme the actual icons
for any who want white rings instead of the drawable rings for that minimalistic / ics feel, i am uploading my framework-res.apk file which was mod'd using the Defy Transparent Theme as a base. Modded icons to match soon to come!
[Framework-res.apk] pulled from latest CM7 RC2, "modded" ever so slightly (swapped 6 or so pngs) use at your own risk (themed ICS Vanilla Style framework ftw) Do change the permissions of your framework properly (rw-r-r)
Do not thank me for this - thank Cyanogenmod for making their framework-res files editable. LoL
I want to change the default green to the stock blue color because it doesn't put me in a good mood and the black background for messaging makes it seem like I'm in a DOS or IRC chat. It's the reason I wanted to keep using ICS Passion, but the clock freezes randomly for me so I chose ICZen instead. I found a stock blue theme made for ICZen v1.7, but newest is ICZen v1.85.
Is it safe to flash that stock blue v1.7 theme?
Is there another way to change colors rather than Galaxy S Settings>Color Tuning? The color tuning doesn't seem to give it a normal color change.
u cant flash different themes for different rom version ........i did once and ended in bootloop .....if u want blue then install this from playstore and apply in theme chooser ....i used it its nice

that's what I'm saying those are inverted apps which won't change colour when u use theme ...........why can't u install 1.8.4 and for this version u have a ics blue theme which u can flash ............ rootzwiki.com/topic/28762-jelly-bean-theme-184-pink-or-blue-flavor-deficient-development/
Its says it's for 1.8.4 instead of 1.8.5, would that matter?
EDIT: Nvm, it does matter. I guess I'll stick with Theme Chooser and apk.
flash 1.8.4 iczen first after that flash theme .........if u flash that theme on 1.8.5 then it causes bootloop .....no much difference is there between 1.8.5 and 1.8.4

I've been meaning to compile a stock blue theme .apk for quite some time, but I always put it off due to school work, etc, etc.
However, in the meantime, I believe this theme should somewhat fix your blue cravings: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1716919. It's free and compatible with ICZen.

I installed it and it seems to be missing some colors such as the phone icon, power control widget, bottom scroll bar, and corner outlines for the widget previews. I liked the stock camera icon with the purple lens and blue web browser icon and blue people icon, but I think I am asking for too much haha. I will just switch around some icons and remove some widgets for now. Anyway, I look forward to testing your theme out whenever you get to it. Thanks a lot.
I've published a couple Go Locker themes and recently just noticed something that is driving me insane. I am using a Galaxy Nexus and kanged a couple of their lockscreen's. No problems with those at all. Install fine on every device that I've tried. MDPI, HDPI, XHDPI no problems, all with just a HDPI folder, no other resources. Recently I made a football lockscreen and want to make sure it's available to as many people as possible. This is where the problem lies. It will not work on an XHDPI phone from the market. It installs fine when testing and from using the same apk as i used to upload to the market. But when a person download and installs it then tries to apply it, they get all white preview images and then if you apply it it gives a completely clean screen that looks like its unlocked but is locked only unlocking by the home button or a status bar pulldown action. I've tried for a couple days to figure this one out and am pretty stuck. The apps are not checked for copy protection in the market either. If anyone has any clue what-so-ever it would be greatly appreciated.
(I tried adding a drawable-xhdpi folder too, no bueno)
When I download a theme that does not work (no preview image), I can NOT find it with root explorer either even tho it says the app is installed on my phone. I am almost completely lost as other themes I've done work with no problem.

UPDATE: I have had someone (BigNaDad aka BigDX) finally let me know exactly what the issue is. It is an encryption that Android 4.1 (jellbean) puts on paid apps. Go Launcher/Go Locker currently have no decryption process for themes therefore paid themes will not work properly if you are running anything after Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0). Hope this helps someone else's headache.

Hi,
Do you have a fix for that? I'm also having same problem as non of my paid go locker themes dont work at all. Please tell me how to fix it if you have an idea.
Thanks

I have them email me a copy of their receipt and then send them the same apk that I originally uploaded to the market. Annoying but still gets the job done. Wish the Go Dev Team were a little more helpful with the issue.

I think I found a solution. I moved lockscreen.xml file from assets/skin folder to res/raw folder. I tested it on JB as a paid theme and it worked.
The only thing I couldn't figure out is it does not show the theme thumb and preview images on go locker theme chooser. They are all blanks (but still you can apply the theme from there). I tried to move them from assets/preview folder to res/drawable-hdpi folder, but it gave me few errors that I couldn't solve.
Give it a try and see if it works for you or not. Let me know if you have any other solution for this including preview images.
btw I haven't tested my solution on GB and ICS devices.
