2.3.7 and 4.0.1 are the latest. you can find root and rom instructions around, and some roms are 2.3.6 currently.

Shouldn't my phone show the update being available? im on att

you can flash whatever rom you want from the i777 dev section....it doesnt matter what version you are currently on, and updates from AT&T dont mean anything if you are on this site

you can also flash ROMs from the i9100 section, IMHO they are better. Just be sure to flash the hellraiser mod AFTER you flash the i9100 ROM and you'll be golden. Happy flashing and good luck with your GS II!!

Just read about a 2.3.6 official update from Samsung for the i777. It's out there, identical to the KK6 leak according to gtg.

Lesson learned - don't flash **** not designed for your device unless you know EXACTLY what you're doing.
You probably ****ed up your bootloader. You're lucky you didn't hardbrick.
If I'm not correct 4.0.3 comes with the new bootloader that patches the exploit for the jig...

It shouldn't. But I could be mistaken.
How to avoid yellow triangle in first place: flash stock kh7 using Odin, root with superoneclick, use mobile Odin to flash the .tar kernel from entropy's daily driver thread. Amazing.

The full stock version of 2.3.6 and up has the jig exploit patched. The 2.3.6 OTA doesn't affect the bootloader. To get rid of the triangle, you have to odin back to stock 2.3.4. You can then use the JIG. Next follow the steps listed above to flash a new rom on.

The original UCKK6 leak had bootloaders.
OTA didn't, my return-to-stock for UCKK6 doesn't.
Sweet I learned something new haha thanks for correcting me

Edit. As far as I know but I wouldn't take my word for certain.

Although I've downloaded a version using the Check Fus Downloader search the forum for the address), I did have trouble downloading though, as it initially said no download available, then failed on it's check when downloaded, but eventually came through and checked/extracted OK. I'm tempted to install ICS but want to ensure this is the correct version first. File name for info = I9100PXXKJ4_I9100PO2UKJ2_I9100PXXKI3_HOME.tar.md5

Im after GT-i9100P rom too but need a gingerbread version to be able to run SKY GO.

[Request]Official Stock 2.3.4 INDIAN Firmware for Galaxy SII

I am running Gingerbread 2.3.6 XWKI1 on my GT-I9100. I don't like the overscroll glow, hence I want to downgrade to 2.3.4 for the bounce effect and better battery. I do not want to root my phone, just wanna flash using ODIN(already done with other firmware before...so i know how to use it). I have already searched the forums for an INDIAN 2.3.4 and looked in the Official Firmware thread, but I'm unable to find it. Can someone please give me a link to the official Indian 2.3.4 firmware? Again, no custom FW as I don't wanna root.
Thanks!

Yep. It was.
If that link is dead then you should go to a SC and ask them to flash your phone KF3.
KF3 is pretty old and it is a slim chance that anyone would still have it. And it was buggy, way buggier than KL1. KL1 is one of the most stable GB there is.
Unfortunately, Google is your best friend now.

Yes. The file is tar.md5 and is odin flashable as is. The md5 extension means Odin will verify file integrity before flashing. Use any version of Odin as far as I know, but I think version 1.85 was the most common one when our phone came out. Put the file in the pda slot. Have you ever used stand alone Odin?

If the replacement phone has ICS 4.0.4, that's not gonna do you any good. You need 4.0.3, and you need to be able to make sure it doesn't auto-update to 4.0.4. 4.0.4 is DEFINITELY what causes the SOD.

I flashed it using http://samsung-updates.com/Odin307.zip
1. put your phone in Download Mode. Plug your device to your computer, open Odin 3.0.7 click on PDA and find the tar file.
Make sure you let Odin finish flashing. Only unplug your device when Odin gives you a message saying, PASS.
Now reboot your phone to recovery and wipe data and reboot.
Good luck
