I seem to always reject calls by accidentally hitting the back button when i take my atrix out of my pocket. I'm using the stable version of CM7 from the dev section. Is there a way to disable this?
Thanks,
Ratkid2271

I am experiencing problems on both mine and my wife's Fuze with any ROM that has the Slide 2 Answer. If the phone is on sleep, I can't answer an incoming call after the first ring either using the S2A slider or the hard key. I can slide the slider, but the phone doesn't answer. If I answer the phone on the first ring, or when the phone is not in sleep, I can always answer the phone.
I can always reproduce this with any Slide 2 Answer dialers.
1. Put your phone in sleep.
2. Call your phone
3. Wait until after the first ring, i.e. answer on the 3rd ring.
4. Use either the S2A slider or the hard answer key.
5. Phone won't answer, and the phone goes to voicemail.
This is on both of my Fuzes, different ROMS with S2A dialers, and yes, I have reflashed and hard reset numerous times, without installing any new software after a flash. The regular dialer works fine.
Anyone else have this problem?

I have the slide dialer in my rom. I have never seen this. The only issue with the dialer I have ever had is the delay between incoming calls and the actual audible ring starting. I can answer on any ring under any circumstance. I rarely answer before the third ring.
FYI it would have been best to post this in the software forum in one of the many dialer threads.
Thanks arup for your quick response.
I'll keep digging and see what I can find out. Weird thing is that this is on both Fuzes.
This issue should be posted in the thread for the roms you are using or the many threads related to the dialers. Also it is posted in the wrong section. This is not a Rom Development topic. Please put more though into what you are going to post in the future, especially if it involves starting a new thread.
Hi,
Stupid question, but does anyone know how to make the soft keys that end/merge the current call display while you are on a call?
At the moment I have the "call" them up to end a call or use one of the other options.
I am using a HTC Hero running Elelinux Stock Froyo 2.2.1 ROM
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Darren
Is anyone having problems with CM7? I'm running the rom on my vibrant T959 and it won't vibrate or make a sound when I receve a txt or email. Also I have no lock screan. I can press the power button to lock and unlock but it just opens to the home screan. I'm running the latest nightly but no luck. Is there a fix or will it be fixed soon?

Since it's a nightly things frequently break and unbreak but as the T959 isn't officially supported it's difficult to say.
Could it be a kernel issue or more on the rom itself?
I'm running the latest version of CM7 RC 1.2. I have a bad problem of hanging up with people while on a call, even though I hit the power button just after answering the phone. I know there's a modification for sense based ROMS in which the end call button can be disabled and instead, have the end call function built into the notification bar (pull down the bar to end call).
Anyone else having this issue and / or know of a fix for this?
See if the following helps:
Settings->Call Settings->Always Use Proximity.
Sometimes orientation can overrule proximity if that's off so holding it between your cheek and shoulder allows the screen to turn on and makes it easy for your cheek to end or mute a call.
I'll give this a shot, thanks!
Sorry if this is a really noob question - I searched and couldn't find anything.
Is it seriously possible that if you leave the in-call screen during a call the only way to get back/end a call is from the notification bar?!
(Obviously without making the power button end calls etc.. - purely from the phone app).
Is there something that I'm missing/not enabling - or is it Samsung's ingenious foresight to not enable you to return to a call by simply pressing the phone app again?!? (Which is a real pain in the ass and a crappy user experience that I still can't get accustomed to after nearly a year with this phone).
On AOKP ROM there is choice between dial pad, return to call and add new call when you press phone app icon during call.
Nothing like this on official ROM as far as I know.

Actually, on stock ROMs, there IS an option to end calls with the power button in the call settings.
Edit: ah, I went back and re-read. Sorry, I misunderstood. Yes, the only way back to the phone app during a call if you leave it on stock ROMs is via the notification bar. I personally find it pretty convenient, but everyone has their own opinions.
Thanks
I guess having an Android with a stock ROM is the antithesis of the OS. I seriously need to flash my phone - except my phone is from work. I'm just afraid that if I flash I won't be able to revert to stock if I need to.
