Once ics comes out we will be developing a rom & you can design the themes

AW: Open WebOS?
If interrest is big enough there might be some Devs out there who are interested in porting that. I don't think that it will happen soon nor do I think that it may become fully working on this device but I don't know why it should be impossible to get it working at all?

Boot2Gecko is more of a possibility right now

i initially thought since they have almost the same hardware it can be done, however anandtech's review suggested that there is a different WiFi Chip in one MAX compared to the One which i guess would be a deal breaker.
That said, given the major of the components are same, it should not be tough for someone to just repack/rebuild the kernel for One MAX referring to the source codes from One.
On date, i don't think there is any kernel for 4.3 since HTC has not released the kernel sources for any of the device.
Hi @all,
don't know if this is the right Forum, please move to the right if it's wrong and sorry!

I also have an ipad 2 64gb. Looks interesting stuff. Wouldn't mind kitkat on it at all. Not sure it would work very well though

Well, yeah, as the title says.
The current iteration of Sense is quite stripped down - from what I've seen in the recent HTC 10 (or the bit more modified A9), the built-in Sense UI is quite close to the stock Android interface, so it would be easier to port to our device. Anyone willing to do it? I'm pretty sure some people would be glad if someone would take the effort...
If you want HTC stuff go and buy one.

With that mentality, nobody would make custom ROMs...
The entire idea of this community is to bring the best from all the Android variants out there and put them into the best ROM one could make for the phone they support.
I`m not saying that a Sense ROM is absolutely necessary, but one can request it and see if somebody is willing to do so.

What's wrong in asking ? We have XOSP which should ideally be for Xperia. AOSP should ideally be for Nexus only.

Why do u want sense based rom? There is blinkfeed apk availiable along with all mods for weather, Facebook blinkfeed, twitter blinkfeed everything. I have downloaded and used these and they r running good

This is not going to be a typical port with readily available source. We need a device with similar specs (the M8 fits the bill) and we need people willing to struggle through the port.
Hopefully one day it will be open source

I'm using the launcher as well - and even more, most of the apps like Mail, Gallery, Music etc are used daily along with a paid CM13 theme, but it's still far from the real thing, I can't use the brilliant HTC Lockscreen and the other small things.

Unlikely to happen... the closest Device is the m8. But there will be a lot of bugs like no sound bcz there are no dual speakers on the x even the camera. There was a port on the nexus 5 which was pretty smooth. But there were several major bugs. so.. unless a dev puts all his attention towards this rom. Which i think wouldn't happen.
If only I had someone to follow me up with porting m8 rom to onyx I would give all my time for it, but I dont even know where to start, tried several guides but that's not enough, so op i quote your request with hope that there is someone able and/or has knowledge about how-to will see this topic and maybe drop us a few "hints"
