Something got wrong with my ACE - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

Hi guys I just install blur by jusada and I am getting so much of free ram my system is using 40-50 ram and all the apps and system works great. Is I am the only one who is getting so much of free ram space?

No! it has a RAM script included with the ROM.
Why don't you read about things instead of posting questions?

Speaks volumes about RAM issues on this phone when a bit of free RAM makes you think its broken.

I think you're one of most lucky Ace user...you've only 50mb of used ram in normal condition. What's wrong with your mobile? Stay calm and enjoy.

Confused about partition! :/

Hey guys! Basically I've seen people saying that they're on ext.2,ext.3 or ext.4! But what is the main thing that helps to give you more internal space for apps? Is it the swap size or? For example, when I enter into recovery and press partition sd card, which is the most important part of partitioning that will give me more space for apps?
Sent from my Optimus One on CM7 O'C to 768mhz!
The most important stuff is the ext partition's size. Swap is not needed, useless waist of spare space.

So basically in the recovery menu, after I chose swap as '0' , how many mb should ext.2 be?
Sent from my Optimus One on CM7 O'C to 768mhz!
I usually do 512MB, don't forget to backup SD before partition.

What will happen if I do lower or higher? I believe there's 1GB or 384mb?

Hmmm? You will have less or more space on the partition. Does not sound exactly like rocket science.
just use what you believe will be required as 1024 mb works and even 512 mb it depends on the amount of app and games u will be using
So what is the best ext.2 size if I want to install more apps?

Christ. Bigger partition - more space for your apps. Smaller partition - less space for your apps. If you do not understand, then:
more money - more goods you can buy
less money - less goods you can buy
If you still do not understand, well... better luck in next life. (In case you believe in reincarnation )
Just Partitione my SD Card, I lost some of my downdloads cant see them
Partition wipes everything

Google say it can be done but phone since they using Exfat it means Samsung have to put some more effort into making it work, but Samsung decided they not gonna bother even though they have on other phones it is completely Samsung's fault.

That is not totally correct.Google stopped the external SD support and Samsung tried a workaround and can be done.
exfat is a supported conversion on our phone but not standard.
U can flash this to be able to move apps to SD. But u need to convert it to fat32
I was actually looking for a solution too. But its sad that I need to use fat32. I prefer ExFAT so that I can store high def movies on my External SD card. Hope theres a solution for those who use the ExFAT file system soon.
U r Big m8, i did what u said, just flashed the mod and now my memory card is showing as sd,not extsd, im very happy guy right now! Thanks for answer everybody!!!

Problem of free ram

Hi !
I got my Razr maxx on wednesday. I immediatly install MIUI 2.11.30 but I've a little problem. I have only 400mo of free ram after killing apps.
Is the problem only related to MIUI Rom ?
I love MIUI but if I only have 400mo ram I don't think it's a good choice
Thanks for the help.
(I'm fench, sorry)
400mb?
If so that's plenty.

He's serious. I get 250-300 free after i reboot and then it drops to 250-180 (stock ics). I think anything above 200-250 is great. Your lags have nothing to do with the memory. By the way try not to kill apps, the apps are supposed to be running with android and killing them consumes more battery.
Ok so thank you all ^^

Yea if have have 150 free you're in good shape. Above 200mb is plenty. Lack of ram is not the only thing that can make your phone laggy/choppy.

However, Android/Linux uses RAM far differently than Windows does (atleast older windows like XP). After Android is done running a program/service/process it saves that process in the unused space in the RAM. That way they don't need to be started from scratch should that process be run again. Storing does use up any more battery power than the RAM needs while empty, the cached apps can easily be purged at will (taking so little time that it's effectively instantaneous), and will definitely save time and battery if that process is run again. The adage to remember here is "Free RAM is wasted RAM".

Home screen -_-

Hi I bought a new s3 with 4.3 rooted already a while ago and I noticed there are some bugs one of them that the home app "touch wiz" is closed or restarted when I open any other app as if it is closed due to the lack of ram or something, really annoying actually it takes some time to restart.
also I don't wanna open a new thread for that but I find that always like 700+ mg of the 830 mg available even after I have closed all the recently oppened apps and pressed the "release memory" ..
Any help please I feel very disappointed I just bought it :'(

So that's normal with touch wiz not just me?
And what about the ram issue? Does it really consume all that ram?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA Free mobile app
Yes dude. If you exit an app it takes a few seconds to load right? And yes it does consume a lot of ram because of all the bloatware touchwiz have. Then i heard that no more 4.4 update for the S3 because samsung said the ram cant handle it because of the new bloatcrap their going to add. That is when i snapped! No more touchwiz for me. You can try using a custom rom so much better in everyway. I have been using Omnirom now and no problems so far. Hope this helps dude.
