Just got a replacement Rogers XT910 GSM. Is there any way to backup stock rom before I start any root/flash for safety?

Safestrap is working awesome for me. Running th3orys RAZRX rom now and can switch back to stock anytime I like! Relatively worry free!

Now Thai I have root and installed ROM toolbox and ROM manager, can I simply install a custom battery icon? Will I have issues?

I think you need to be deodexed first to apply any mods.

Wouldn't try anything right now until there is a safe and easy way to recover back to stock. To many people are soft bricking, almost including myself.

As far as I have tested it, but on a dx2 w/ a leaked 413 (00008) kernel.
Do you have a 236 or 235 stock rom?
Oh you are on a dx2. So good. Try it. Post your results.
I had 2.3.5 but sbf'd back to 2.3.4, got tired of the poor Wi-Fi connection.
So this port is a nandroid backup?
Can u just flash from 2.3.4 in bsr or do u have to be up to 2.3.5 .413 or is it an update?

Does a nandroid back up save the current kernal?

Hey so i have looked and looked.use the search feature and used google.. Is there no guide to installing roms on the 2-init using bootmenu? I really want to get back into flashing roms but i do like the stock look and feel.

Yeah, it's hard to find i guess

For second system you need to toggle the second system recovery before you install the Rom.
The Guide to edit the Script for MiUi and CM9 is linked. For CM9 you need an patch, just read the Thread.
If you like Stock, then flash the Epsilon. It's an heavy tuned Stock Rom and it's prepared for second System. So you don't need to edit the Script, just clean your Webtop Partition once and flash.

Hey so another question is that i see all these gsm roms but im in a cdma market and cdma sim card.
Does it make a difference if it is one or the other? Or do both of them work all the same? 4g and everything?

Never mind.. Answered my own question when i installed epsilon.. Gsm only ROM. Can't even turn on cdma

When you're running an CDMA Device, you should use Saftestrap!

Don't forget. BootMenu was made on CDMA device. (It's neither XT912 nor XT910)
The whole point of using bootmenu was that i don't have to disturb my stock ROM and can play with and eventually move to a custom rom when I'm comfy with the functionality

Go into fastboot mode and use this, it will take you back to Stock like when you first bought it. http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/t...xt912-jellybean-windows-mac-linux-all-in-one/
Ok I have the rsdlite installed but I can't seem to get a stock rom for the Verizon Droid Razr to download.. Does anyone have one or know where I can get one
