I didn't find this kind of tread here so I made new tread... If it's against the rules please tell me...
I wanted to change the darkening of my wallpaper picture on default LockScreen on my ARC S but don't know what file to change and how... In the attachment are my screenshots so that it will be clearer what I mean. The darker picture is my LockScreen and the brighter is my regular HomeScreen wallpaper. Is there a way to make LockScreen bright the same as it is on HomeScreen?

I'm not actually sure you can. Reason being is the lockscreen has a transparent backdrop giving the darkened affect. I think it might be able to be made 100% transparent meaning no backdrop at all really. But I might be wrong. Someone who knows more on that side really needs to confirm what I said.
Oh.... And this should really be in Q&A forum but it's ok . Just watch out foe the ones that might give you abuse

Hi all, i want to make my screens look something like 1153th post in "Post a (phone/desktop) picture of your X10 thread" (Sorry,im not able yet to give direct links)
but with edited icons (i am willing to change the pic of any of the icons.font and the transparent background line under the text using PS5 , but i dont know what exactly are the dimensions of the icons.
if someone can upload for me icon sizes like 2x1 , 1x2 , 1x1 3x1 and 1x3 ill be very thankfull.
Also if someone willing to explain me how i can change the icons ( i mean with what program to do that). and if yes, how to use the specific program also?
I am not looking for the icons from the uploaded pics! just their sizes, specificly for Xperia X10!
When im done, ill upload my new icons and screenshots from my phone.

72x72 is the size of my icons.

Depending on what you want to change, I find it easier to pull and edit apks, which you can learn how to do here - [Guide] Hacks and mods: Three tutorials for modifying your x10 OS aesthetically

mhy just edit the contact and ad some pic from galery to this contact.If you want to set the picture on full screen ther is an app in market to do this.

try some launchers
launcher only will "remove" that buble corner from your homescreen, not from dial screen. that you need to install an apps like fullscreencaller or that kind of app.

I have exactly the same question. How to remove this ugly picture? It's bugging me for some time. What were the developers thinking when they create such things? For f****s sake it is a 16M color display, with HD support? And to look at this UGLY out of resolution default caller id?
Is there a way maybe to modify framework?

oh, right, my bad
this file should be in framework. but when i searched there is no file like this. must be some translucent png so i didn't found. just find that file and replace it with any same dimensional file or full transparent png
You should install cm7 instead, them you can change both the call screen and the incoming call screen to a couple of different alternatives

So, did any one figure out how to remove that useless back ground picture in contacts or replace with a different grahic or something ?
I tried to search for an app (like FullScreenCallerId for Symbian) that does that, but couldn't find one.

All you need to do is change callhandling_contact_picture_default.png in SemcPhone.apk. Either try to do something artistic or do what I did and just make it transparent.
Hi gyus, i wanna set photo of my girlfriend as wallpapers on my x8 ( her body ) - but there is problem, if I tap on "set as wallpaper" i must select part of photo which will be set and this part is only one half of photo ( its mean that I see only face, but no her body) . So please, how can I set the wallpaper which will be whole on screen? I see her all body with face? its facebook profile photo. Hope that you understand --- I must resize or what??

@Everyone else : If you can answer this guys problem, go ahead. If you're going to start telling him off about posting in the wrong section or etc, please don't. Just let the Mods deal with them using their own brand of justice.

I am new on xda, and YES i did watch the noob video
I have tried different launcher for my Xperia(Xperia Pro MK16i), is there any app, which provides just a simple theme??
i.e, the stock ICS has the cosmic themes(Emerald, silk, gold, sapphire,Amethyst, Turquoise and Ruby), is there anyway by which I can add some more themes to that list?
These themes are all the same except for the shade, For a change I would like to have a White Theme!! :cyclops:
In the sense, the status bar, notification area everythin turns "WHITE" (its White font )
IS there a way to do it??
I "DID" read some forums where some themes are given and we have to flash n al, but I'm confused, Is there a simpler way??
And my device is rooted with a locked bootloader, Thanks to DooMLoRD.:good:
