Hi im looking for some bluetooth headphones for my blackstone. I want to be able to answer calls and control the media player using the bluetooth headphones.
Does anybody have a rough idea if any of the following are compatable. I know they are not well known brands but thought i may aswell ask anyway.

wat i can say is not bad. Clear when paired wif both my phone and my laptop.
ps. for better sound quality, i'm using my own headphone.
do the controls work ie play ,pause, prev track, next track ect?

Why not get some well known branded headsets like motorola s9, that comes close to the price range as well...
i dont like the headsets. i want something that can clip on my shirt, control the hd media player and plug any headphones into.

I first had the Motorola S9 which were nice, but too much bass, and after some time they completely fell apart
Now I bought the Calypso SP and they work just fine. They support Bluetooth 2.0, so you don't have those annoying pauses if the phone is not exactly behind your back, and the sound is great.
They look a bit like Princess Leia's haircut though

I've got sony ericsson HBH-DS970 and they're really excellent.
They will control next/previous track etc in the built in touchflo player but I cannot find out how to make them control Coreplayer instead. I hate the built in player and use Coreplayer for almost everything, but I've had to stop using these headphones because I can't control the tracks with them sadly. Really gutted about it.
I've got Sennheiser CX500s which sound great, but the track control & untangled wires of the bluetooth set was brilliant, and the sound was very good too.
Anyone know a decent bluetooth earbud set that works to control Coreplayer? Or a way I can fix this problem as it really sucks.

I have been planning to put a new stereo system into my wife's car for Christmas. I'm looking at some of the all-digital systems out there with A2DP, but I'm wondering whether Android is compatible with one of the versions of the AVRCP control standards? Preferably 1.4, which should be full control and full metadata.
We'd want to play both MP3 files stored on the phone as well as streaming audio from Pandora. We don't use CDs or even DVDs any more. Bluetooth phone call support would be nice, too, if anyone has any US-market head unit recommendations which they can confirm works with the Vibrant.
Just remembered to dig up this thread and reply to it.
I ended up getting her a no-moving-parts Clarion FZ709 head unit. She actually uses it with her iPod more than anything (which works great over USB), but I've tried it out with Pandora on my Vibrant over Bluetooth.
I was disappointed that there was no track information displayed, but skip forward/back works, as does pause/play. The audio was a bit muffled sounding but Pandora at cell data speeds isn't exactly hifi to start with. I forgot to put some MP3s on my phone so I haven't tried those yet (to see whether metadata works, I figure it might just be a Pandora issue).
Has anyone had experience with Tunelink auto for android. It's used to stream audio over bluetooth in your car. Just wondering how good the quality of the sound is and how well it autoconnects to our phones.
I looked into this sometime back when the original evo came out and even at that time the price was $99.99. It doesn't look that great and all you can do is stream music. You can't answer phone calls. The android app only let's you configure some settings including the fm frequency to broadcast on. So I skipped this thing and kept searching for something similar and came across the Saitechi ultimate bluetooth:

I've been using the Miccus BluBridge for playing audio in the car.
The sound is great and it charges with a mini-USB plug.
The only drawback is that you have to manually pair the device each time you leave the car and come back. Kind of a hassle. If I recall, it worked well for both music playback and phone calls on the Evo 4G, but only in Sense. Seems that when I started going the AOSP route, music would play but not voice.
I haven't had an opportunity yet to test phone audio with my new 3D yet.
I've read that some newer bluetooth headphones can be paired with two devices at once. I'm curious if the following scenarios are possible:
1) While listening to music on my Prime with the headphones, a call on my phone will ring through on the headphones. I can then use the headphone controls to answer or drop the call, after which the music on my Prime will continue.
2) While listening to music on my phone, I can start a Youtube video on my Prime, which pauses my phone's music and begins the Youtube audio on the headphones. Once finished the music on my phones resumes.
Is anyone using their bluetooth headset with both their phone and Prime?

What your looking for is commonly called MULTIPOINT. Most higher or even mid end bluetooth headsets will let you connect to two or more devices at the same time. Consider if you are paying more than, say, $50 for a half decent headset it SHOULD have it. If it doesnt have at least multipoint 2 i wouldnt get it.
To stream music you are looking for A2DP or AVRCP.
A2DP is your basic music streaming. Much higher quality than your standard voice protocols, keps the music from sounding too tinny.
AVRCP is more fancy, my car stereo has this where i can use media buttons (forward, back, pause, etc.) to control the music. Depending on the device it may also display track information.
Now that we got the hardware side down, lets move on to your scenerios.
You can have media connected to ONE device and voice connected to ONE device for most quality bluetooth headsets. You can play music and if you get a call it will PAUSE the music to notify of the incoming call. Easy.
The second scenario is a bit more complicated. You can only stream music from ONE device at a time. If i have my bluetooth connected to my phone and my computer at the same time for audio i can play movies from my computer to the headset then play audio from my phone to the headset but if i have ANY audio coming from the computer the headset wont accept music from the phone. In most cases i find it easier to turn off bluetooth on my laptop when i want to hear music from my phone, or at least turn off all media players and wait ~30 seconds before switching devices.
In all, yes it can be done, much how others have said, but now hopefully you know what to look for. I remember how difficult it was for me jumping into this blind, maybe my information can help you buy the right hardware. Good luck!

Through research I believe the Samsung HS3000 is a good option. It has a new bluetooth music codec called Apt-X which is supposed to be higher quality than A2DP if both the headset and phone/tablet support it.
If I go that route I'll try to upgrade my phone to a Samsung SIII or HTC One X which both support Apt-X. The Transformer Prime unfortunately does not, but I'll only use it to watch quick internet videos while browsing in this case.
for primairy use of listening to music / movies, that should be decent. The mic placement makes me think that it would not be as good for calls as a headset you wear on your ear but it depends how often you use it.
Never heard of Apt-X, will have to research it probably part of bluetooth 3.0, different frequency, more bandwidth. should be interesting!
First android phone I've had that has this issue.
I have my phone paired with my car's OEM bluetooth (confirmed by my car), but everytime I try and stream a song it still plays through my phone speaker instead of my car, even though my car shows it playing. I've used 5 other android phones with my car with zero issues. Any ideas?
With the sim card issue and now this, I'm thinking of returning this phone.

I'd say its a simple menu option on the phone. Mine is perfectly happy to play music and navigation instructions through the Bluetooth. Are you able to make/receive calls through Bluetooth?
Try something for me.
Open up the YouTube app and at the top there will be a blue button. Press it. This toggles sound through speakers/Bluetooth.

I have never had your problem however. Since i have and the DNA after i paired the phone with my car. While in the Bluetooth setting i had to click the radio option to connect it. It never would automatically connect till after i did that. Now it connects when i turn it on.

My wife's DNA autoconnects ever since we originally paired hers to her car, and I don't remember having to enable anything beyond just the initial pairing.

Only one of two things I can think of:
- You get into the car with another device connected with AVRCP capabilities, and it's taking priority over your car's media audio connection. Thus, you're left with the car connected to phone audio, and your bluetooth headphones/Jambox/etc. playing music. HOwever, you specifically mentioned the music was playing through your phone speaker, so the only other possibility is...
- Go into settings, Bluetooth, and click on the sliders/settings icon next to your car's connection name. Ensure both Media Audio and Phone Audio are checked.
Beyond that, I would try unpairing all your Bluetooth profiles and reconnecting them. BT has been pretty finnicky for me, across handsets and accessories.
Sense devices haven't worked well in my car. Other devices have seemed to work a little better. But my car is a 2005. So think it depends on the car software. You might try upgrading the firmware on your car's setup if all of the other options fail.

I also do not get why my dna won't stream through BT in my car or truck. I mostly listen to Pandora...I know there is a BT setting in the app and I have it enabled. I can receive/make calls fine but if I want to stream Pandora through the vehicles speakers, I have to plug in the 3.5 mm jack. In my BT settings on the dna, I only have Phone Audio, no option for Media Audio? In BT settings, under Advanced, there is FTP server (not checked) and Message access, which is checked and that's it? I have not tried another music source to try to stream, but I'll try that next. Update: just tried Slacker radio and it doesn't come through the vehicles speakers either

Where exactly is this "radio option" you mentioned? I do not see any setting for that in Bluetooth on the DNA, maybe you have that option in your BT settings in your car? Can you actually stream Pandora in your vehicle through BT on your DNA (stock?)

You have to be connected to a Bluetooth device. Its next to the sear h button.

There is a Bluetooth audio streaming problem with the recent non-GPS Toyota head units. I have a 2012 4Runner, and I'm only able to get the Google Play Music app to stream for a few seconds. The phone thinks it's still working, but nothing is getting through to the stereo. There was a thread about this started over on Rootzwiki. I've been told that the stock HTC music app will work, but in don't keep any media on my phone. I've tried Audible, Play Music, and Dog Catcher. Bluetooth calls work just fine.

It isn't enough that your head unit is "Bluetooth enabled". There are many capabilities: phone, hands free, BT audio, etc. On many models, only phone capabilities are included. For BT Audio to be output, you need a head unit that is A2DP capable (above, I typed AVRCP, which is incorrect - AVRCP allows the BT device to control playback...the RC stands for remote control). A2DP is the profile the BT device (in this case your head unit) uses to tell the phone what capabilities it can handle. In this case, it's only telling the phone it has headset capabilities, and therefore will never output audio. Solution: get a new head unit, or just continue to use the 3.5MM jack, which has two benefits: it's ****ing free, and you can take advantage of the Beats Audio amp within the phone.
FYI, with stock Hyundai, Kia, Ford Sync head units, I've been able to output all audio: Google Music, Pandora, Slacker, DoggCatcher, along with all system sounds and notifications. I really don't think this is a phone problem, it's usually something going wacky at the car's end. See bluefoam's comment above about having to enable A2DP in the car's settings. Never seen this, but proof of the idiocy of head unit makers sometimes.

Yes, very helpful, thanks. And yea, its really not a big deal to plug in the jack...my car and truck both came with audio jacks so at least there's that.
