Market - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I know there was a thread about this a while ago but there was no resolution. I have a wifi only galaxy tab 10.1 and the market version is 1.0.27. The only thing I've done is root my tab, no rom or anything. Is there any reason I'm stuck with such an old version of the market?!
I did try some link to download a newer version of the market which resulted in two markets on my tab. It was a mess and didn't work properly.

1.0.28 is the larest version of market for tablets. The market versions with 3.x.x. version numbers are for mobiles.

so there is no music store for tablets?

[Q] Cyanogenmod 6.1, Froyo and Baidu Input

I'd like to try BaiduInput (Chinese handwriting among other input modalities on my G Tablet running Cyanogenmod 6.1.0-Beta4-Harmony and Froyo 2.2.1) but the program is not available on Google Market despite it states it is compatible with Android 1.6 forward.
I do have it running on my Google Nexus phone running Android 4.2 where it works nicely. I do have the Google Pinyin IME keyboard installed on both the G Tablet and the Nexus phone, it works nicely on both but does not offer handwriting input.
Does anyone have Baidu Input running? Thanks.
You could install ES File Explorer (from the market or internet) on your Nexus phone and make a backup of BaiduInput.apk (or whatever it is called). Then transfer it to the Gtab (using bluetooth or a PC) and install. No guarantee the app will work on the Gtab, but it might.
About your Gapps question in another thread, they should update through the market to the latest version available. You are running a Froyo build, which is old, so there probably haven't been any updates to it's version of Gapps in quite a while. If you want to use the newer versions, you will probably have to update to a newer rom/android version.

I do have ES File Explorer installed on my Nexus phone and will try your suggestion. Thank you.
As for updating to a later ROM, I would love to but last I checked - which is quite some time ago - there were no Tegra 2 drivers for the G tablet supporting later ROMs, thus adversely affecting speed.
Perhaps that has been corrected? If so, what would you suggest I update to (that is stable, works well etcl)?

[Q] CM 6.1.0, Froyo and Latest Version of Market

I have since a long time ago installed CM 6.0.1 with Froyo 2.2.1 on my Viewsonic G Tablet. It seems that I am stuck on the same version of Market that I have had since this installation late 2010. Is it possible to update to the latest version of Market given the above version of CM? I have at least one application, Pleco, that does not allow me to download in-app purchased content to the tablet although I have no problem downloading same to my Google Nexus phone running Android 4.3.
Market is version 1.82, Google Services Framework was recently updated to 2.2.1 but I also have Google Play Services which is at version 3.2.25. Is it possible for me to get the latest version of Market, or Google Play, as it is now called, or am I forever stuck on version 1.82?
Thank you.

[Q] Google Maps version upgrade issue

Good morning,
I own a LG Optimus 4x HD, running Jelly Bean 4.1.2, 20a-EUR-XXX, stock, non rooter, and I'm based in Australia.
Does anyone know or have similar issue with Google Maps: from the Play Store I can only get version 6.14.4, no later version available.
I have installed 7.2 (and 7.3 yesterday) however, these are via .apk (from Android Police) not from the Play Store, and are very unstable for my device (Maps 7.x keeps flickering when entering Navigation and eventually crashes).
When I uninstall the update from 7.x back to 6.14.2 it then tells me that there's an updated Maps from the Play Store, when I go to update it, it shows me the screenshots (in the Play Store) of the new version (7.x) but when I update it, it is in fact an update only to 6.
14.4.
I've researched this on the net for a while and the only similar reoccurrence is a month or so back with some Galaxy S owners which were having the same issue, but it seems that they were then able to update it to the latest version in mid September.
So has anyone had a similar experience?
Or is anyone able to supply me with an .apk for the LG P880 specifically (if such thing exists)?
Thanks in advance,
Cecu

How can i install an app, which is said not compatible?

Its the app: apkpure.com/transit-menetrend-mvk-zrt/com.menetrend.mvk, MVK Zrt, TransIT
It can be found in Play Store too. I've a Doogee Titans 2. I was with originally 4.4 android. My friends version with originally 5.0. I use it without problem on 4.4 but my phone was updated to 5,0 rom.
This app says not compatible now. If i try the apk, only say: app not installed.
The phone is not rooted yet.
How can install this app? - the only reason why I need, its the only app what can show the real time information about local public transport (bus, tram).
Someone use it on 5 or later android (but not on this Doogee).
Thank you very much on any help!

Youtube for Android TV mod request

I have Youtube for Android TV installed on my Android powered screen. Few days ago it stopped working, as when i open it, it shows the "There's a newer version of YouTube available on the Play Store, tab to update". The problem is the version in Play Store is for Android 5 and above, and my version of Android is 4.4.4 and it can't be updated anymore (Unsupported device or something). So is there anyway to keep using currently installed YouTube? or can anyone help modding it so it bypass the update check when it opens?
Thank you all.
