I need a link that I can download the pg05img.zip file that my thunderbolt had before the new ruu update. I think it was .6 or .0023 or something . My phone ran so much smoother with it. Also I was running the perfect storm v1.3 and had a kernel from ziggy .(1.7) that I cannot find now from his website. I have been looking forever and finally I thought id ask you freaks. Jk . Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Oh and don't tell me I should have searched because I did. I typed it in Google and searched on here. Didn't find any specific info due to the fact I didn't wanna lose root. I spent literally 6 hours rooting the bad boy the old fashion way adb drivers .

There's a radio thread in the development section. Has all the radios. Can't help you with the kernel.

Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA Premium App
You didn't search too hard did you. It's in the development section and it's title says RADIO on it. You will have to read pass the first post to know which one came with the phone. No, I won't be providing you with a link, just go to the development section. As for the stock kernel try flashing the debloated stock rom.

In here somewhere, shouldn't be too long to figure out.
As far as the kernel you'll have to ask or pm the dev since they don't have it explicitly posted.
Ok well I flashed the .6 LTE and cdma but when I check the software on my phone it says I have the .9 I am so confused
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA Premium App
That is because you are comparing all the wrong numbers. From Adrynalyne himself...
1.12.606.6= release software. This is what you started with.
1.12.605.9= leaked software, but same radios as .6.
1.13.605.7= leaked software, latest, new CDMA and LTE radio. These are what people flashed in the RUU thread or Das BAMF.
Thes numbers are software release numbers. Not radio numbers. The baseband number, I believe, is the radio number. So, if you flashed this file, you have the new RUU with the old radio.
If you downloaded this file from the OP of the Radio thread, then you have the stock radio.
Lastly (for now), we have the 1.12.605.6 CDMA/LTE radio combo.

To read is your best bet. I have been a "lurker" on these boards for some time. I read and read some more until I understand. Believe me, it is not fun reading through a couple hundred pages for just one thread, but you would be surprised what you would learn by doing so.
And to be quite honest, asking questions such as this only serves to solidify the reason for the responses you get from the more senior members. If you have to ask questions like this, you had no business rooting or loading a new radio in the first place.
Good luck

i have spend time to learn about this phone. I am just not familiar with the lingo. bro i have been from verizon (og droid) to at&t (aria) sprint (evo) and now back to Verizon only after having the samsung phone until the tbolt was out. I rooted every single one of those phones !!! i bricked the og droid and learned alot from that. havent bricked since. so don't tell me i don't spend time on here. you and alot of people on here spend more time complaining when you could be explaining. you would have saved a step in your last post had you just put the answer to my question. i build powerlines off helicopter skids for a living i don't have all day to spend on here "learning" the lingo. i just wanted simple help without you freaks getting your panties all bunched up because i apparently don't know what i am talking about. so if you cannot help me do not post back.
i am new to this website, as i have been finding all my information on google because i was afraid this would happen.
i rooted this phone having to install adb drivers on windows 7. do i just use shell command or whatever its called and push the files to the phone and make sure the md5sum is the same? all i was wanting to do was just go back before the leaked software. i was running the perfect storm 1.3 and ziggy mecha bfs kernel i think it was 1.7 but it was superfast. i live in los angeles and where i live i have full 4g all the time. now i lose 4g go to 3g then have to mess with it to get it back to 4g. that was until i lost root. so back to my question do i just push the files to the phone. i will have to fire up that old laptop again the only reason i used that one was because there wasnt a root guide for a mac back when the tb was released. is it easier on a mac fresh or on windows with the adb drivers and sdk already installed?

Next time you need assistance you might want to change your tact. Just my opinion.
Halfcab was to root our phone - a simple process according to them. in 3 days they have managed to brick one of our phone and then not properly root the second. Now it is working very poorly. now they have blocked our emails and will not respond to us. According to them a simple download is needed so why are they not responding. Avoid as you probably will not get what you pay for.
Better taking the advice and know how from the xda site, rather than some dodgy phone guys...

Are you sure it's bricked? You can't get into recovery or use adb?
Personally, I wouldn't let someone I've never met remotely flash my several-hundred-dollar phone (if that's how it was done). But that's just me.

I would let the unlimited.io crew or con247 toy around with mine remotely; such has been done during the initial release of the JuopunutBear S-off method. But only because I have observed them to be legitimate developers seeking to better user experiences and knowledge for knowledge's sake. Definitely not some random XDA reader with a website storefront and access to other people's ROMs and tools.
Edit: read the post below this one. Then read it again; it pretty much sums up the situation.
I a firm believer that if you can't root your own device, you should be stock... Hell I'm even against the one click root utilizes for inexperienced users.. part of having root is the understanding that you are now tech support..the only way your going to learn is to do it the hard way. Not by plugging in and clicking root... Ever notice on any forum for a phone with a one click, there's a ton of "help I'm bricked" threads... Funny thing is you never see these before one click is available...kinda hard to become tech support if you have zero knowledge of what a Linux OS is and how to move around with terminal..
Basically I almost don't feel bad for the scam, shoulda took the time to learn what's involved with being rooted...sorry

Honestly it's not as horrifying as some may think. It's quite simple. Just read the guides and make sure you have everything you need at your fingertips. It would be good for you to learn since you will be flashing roms and such. It's almost like shaking hands and saying hello to your phone. (lol)
Just stay s-on until you get comfortable flashing and its virtually impossible to hard brick your phone.

Agreed with everyone man.. Im by no means dev, or even a themer just a user but just simply reading and chatting with people on the forums being polite will get you along way.. if there's anything your wanting to learn I'm always available to simply chat to, like I said I'm no one special but I know the simple things, flashing, fastboot commands, I can even walk you thru simply rooting or going the whole nine yards with the s-off thing.. I do promis you tho in the end any thing you learn will be useful in the future.. you'll always wanna flash a new Rom, or kernel, or even a new mod for sense 4.x you like.. but, YOU will wanna be the one to do it not send it in again, or something silly like that.. my gtalk [email protected]. But my advice is always read, search and read some more.. and if you still can't find what your looking for ask a questio. Good luck bro.

I was unsuccessful with getting S-Off on my phone (about 120-ish attempts) so I just use an app called HTC dumlock. It works by copying my recovery to my boot partition and booting to that. It allows me to flash kernels as if I had S-Off. The only disadvantage is that it's an app and does require a working ROM so a borked flash means I have to fall back to fastboot.

First, for them to root your phone remotely you'd have to give them remote access to your pc. No way I'd trust these clowns with that.
Second, rooting the phone is easy, all you really need to do is get your unlock code from HTC and follow the instructions here on XDA. It's really easy and there are a lot of people here who will help if you need it. The only really tricky thing is s-off, and they can't help you with that remotely since it requires access to your phone.
Now, if you're new to rooting you probably shouldn't go s-off just yet anyway, but that's another topic altogether. Regardless, if these guys root your phone you'll be s-on. The extra steps for s-on flashing aren't difficult, but unless you want to pay them to flash every rom you try you need to learn how to do it yourself. I don't know about everyone else, but I go through phases where I'll change roms several times a week or even daily just to try stuff out.
Third, these halfcab guys are selling other people's roms. Under terms of open source that isn't illegal, but that doesn't make it right. You can download them for free and if anyone deserves money for a rom its the dev who worked on it. They'll take donations! (I think I even saw where halfcab was selling unlock codes. HTC would probably take issue with that.)
Fourth, they're selling WiFi tether. Again, it's free to download. Most ROMS come with it anyway.
So short answer to the OP is no, it isn't legit. It's a ripoff and could leave you with major headaches if you don't learn how to do this stuff yourself anyway. It certainly won't be as convenient as it may sound.

Please don't support someone who sells someone else's work as their own. There may be no law against it, but that doesn't make it right.
And no, rooting / s-offing your phone isn't easy the first time, but you can do it if you read and then ask questions like everyone else has said.
If you're that interested in rooting, you'll be glad you learned to do it yourself.

Don't pay people to do it, you'll be calling them weekly on how to fix stuff. You need to know how to look at an issue solve it and perform the steps necessary to keeping the device going smoothly. If you don't learn the terminology and what each thing does you will be lost forever. I did it for my brother and I get calls all them time How do i do this? its terrible. If your not willing to put some time into it then like they said buy an Iphone. Once you learn though its exciting and fun and its a community everyone here wants more people to learn it makes the platform great.
well the droid DNA and the One S and the One XL just got s-off!! also i was just on twitter and jcase said that it will work on the evo 4g LTE also it it looks mad easy! he said if we want it they will support it :good: no sdcard needed either! check it out its called #facepalm S-OFF! for all modern HTC phones
this is what jcase said he needs...-jcase- "I need an update.zip, link to a supercid procedure, and a s-on user with supercid and root".. i have no clue what that is but im sure someone here can help get what he needs to get this goin
Why the hell do you want to waste an exploit on this device if we already have one? It's not a problem also we dont have a superCID procedure. It's not a matter of him being mad, it's a matter of you starting an unwarranted thread about an exploit that isn't necessary for our device.
While jcase's method could possibly be adapted to our device, it would be unnecessary for jcase to dedicate time to a device with an existing, and fairly simple s-off method, when he could be dedicating time to devices that have nothing currently.
Feel free to ask if I'm mad, because I'm not. The only people that should be mad, were the ones that ever followed your advice, now that it is apparent that you don't understand the device you hold in your hand.

What are you, five years old?
Just wondering if anyone could answer this for me real quick. I had recently hard bricked my LGOG (did the most stupid, noob thing u could imagine) and had insurance on it thru ATT. Got them to send me a replacement and now I'm worried they will know that I had rooted/unlocked it and the cause of the 1st phones failure was caused by me and therefore voiding the warranty. The lady I spoke to about the warranty explained the process to me then explained to me what happens if warranty is voided, and its not pretty. Kind of nervous now. Anyone done this before or have knowledge on this subject?? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you have insurance... you can just say you lost the phone, which means you can't send it in. That way they have no idea the warranty was voided.

Well, you should honestly not exchange phones that you brick. You guys even have bootloader unlocked so you must have noobed hard to actually brick the phone. Why didn't you just use lgnpst?
I have no idea if they'll find out. But you said you had insurance, insurance covers basically anything with a deductible so as long as your ok paying the deductible I wouldn't worry too much.

I have been told they don't do in-debt checks of the phones returned. Don't know if that's true though.

OK. Well good info guys. And yes I noobed it beyond belief. I'm really embarrassed to say what I did but heck with it. I flashed ICS custom ROM over JB stock ROM. :banghead::banghead:
Straight up hard brick. No download mode, nothing at all. Tried unplugging the battery/plugging back in. Nothing. Fin. Was going to just say I just lost it. That was orig plan but I thought by doing that I would have to get new number. Found out that's not the case after the fact . Lol. :banghead::banghead::banghead:
U live and u learn I guess. Its funny though, I always learn something very valuable by making the biggest mistakes. Lol.
Thanks again for the great info guys.

Umm flashing custom ICS ROM over stock JB ROM should not cause a hard brick.

I'm pretty sure they won't find out... or if they do... they won't penalize you for it..
My buddy sent his back through insurance and it was bricked and he got his replacement phone with no issues.
Good luck

Well that's what I thought too. Here's exactly what I did. I had the new stock JB 4.1.2. I had debloated it. U know, i customized it to my liking, ie, ME's super awesome B18c1 kernel, etc. ect. I had LGNPST'd it to the new JB. At&t phone BTW. Anyway when I first got this phone 1st thing I did was root/unlock and installed Snow's JB ROM. Once official JB came out along with the new 4.2.2 ROMs (vanilla root box, chaos) I wanted to try those and LGNPST'd to official like I stated earlier. Well, out of all those ROMs, and I don't know why but, Snow's JB ROM with ME's kernel worked so amazingly and I loved it. Most of all battery life was just retarded good. So, that's when i, without thinking too much about it, decided to flash back Snow's ROM over the JB ROM. Soon as I did that instant brick city. I just thought it may have had something to do with the TZ partition or something like that. I've soft bricked my phone a couple times by just not thinking clearly and never had any problems getting into download mode and LGNPST'ing back to whatever I needed. I'm just thinking now I should have LGNPST'd back to 4.0.4 or whatever it was before 4.1.2. Idk. Maybe someone can shed some light on the subject. Idk. Doesn't really matter now. I will never do that again. Anyway, thanks for the replies. I feel a little better. Thanks again. I really love the XDA community and love our little LGOG community!

I've returned two 'bricked' phones. I unrooted and set back to stock all my root changes, and then did a full factory reset, and the phone would fail to boot (softbrick most likely) and both times I didn't hear a peep. And this was without the boot failure being the reason for the return. So, if they don't ***** about that, you shouldn't have any trouble.
You can file an insurance claim for any reason, your fault or not so long as you don't mind paying the deductible. Warranty exchanges are what sometimes get people in trouble, they're for manufacturer hardware/ software issues.

In the future feel free to use the report button to let the MODS know to move it.
This is my second hard bricked LGOG that I'm getting a replacement for via warranty. This last hard brick was from a teenybin which I found funny. Either way, my phone had a locked boot loader for the second round. 1st one was unlocked, rooted etc etc and no one noticed. You should be good.
