New contact Google sync - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

I've been noticing all new contacts I've entered into my phone have not been automatically syncing to my Gmail account. How can I link them?

Push mail cm7

I really like the stock samsung email app. The only thing keeping me from using cm7 is that. I know k9 mail but that seems to kill.my battery and isn't true "push" email.
What are my options. Would the email apk from unnamed work on cm7? I doubt it.

Probably should have posted in general. Sorry.

there is a stock email client (not gmail) in cm7.1, which works well with my exchange email. it can do imap/pop3 email as well.
Yeah I'm totally aware of the other email app but u cannot set it to push. Only check for mail in different intervals

push works, if you mean the same app - which is the one under cm7.1

"enhanced email" in the market is pretty nice esp if you like stock. its enhanced stock. does push.
Well I figured out how to push gmail with the stock email app.
Add new account
Type username an password
Click manual setup
Click exchange
Username will be /username. Leave the slash
Put m.Google.com instead of gmail.com
Viola. Perfect working push gmail with the stock app.

So are you using exchange? I have had this problem as well with the stock email app. I do not use exchange. I have 2 email accounts one of which is Gmail and another that is Road Runner that forwards to my Gmail account. The Gmail app receives push email perfectly but the stock email app waits for its assigned frequency to check for mail.
Will your way of setting up the account work for me?
Thanks!

I am using 5 gmail accounts on the stock email app using the method I posted above for push mail. Yes it should work, not sure how to do your RR email but if u have that forwarded to a gmail theN your all set

LOL, working like a champ! I was trying to copy your instructions and paste them to a thread I had started over in the captivate thread about this issue 6 + months ago to help anyone out that may stumble across it in a search. Needless to say I failed miserably!

Calendar won't sync

Seems that calendar events entered on my Xoom or via Google calendar sync in to the note fine but events entered on the Note itself won't sync out to Google calendars.
Anyone know how to sync Note-entered events? Using the "calendar" app on the Note.

Nevermind. Perhaps I was impatient. Working fine.

IS there something specific that you are doing when you get the error?

What settings are using? Tried manual (if it doesn't have that option, sorry but I don't have this app)? Tried a third party email app? I recommend Aqua Mail.

I get the same error message when I try to set up a "gmail" account. I can set up a gmail account as a "mail" account, though.
Haven't seen this error before and I have set up gmail accounts several times. Hmm. You have a good internet connection? Adding an account during setup or after?

Hmm. I just setup another account on mine with no issues.
Your doing a second existing account right?
Sent from my ADR6410LVW using Tapatalk 2
Usually a token has to do with security, kind of strange...
I just set up my second gmail using the other option in.the emails... Strange to run in that error though

Do you have 2-step verification turned on for the gmail account? I do and needed to generate a password through google security settings rather than just entering the regular gmail password. This was the case for setting up gmail as well as logging into my google account when setting up the phone.
Just a thought...

New contacts not syncing properly

So hey I had a few new contacts. So I went into settings and synced those contacts. Then I turned sync off. I never have auto sync on because of the battery issues. But when I flash a ROM, and log back into my gmail. Those new contacts I recently synced aren't there

You guys are saving them to the phone or to the email address, when adding them it will show you where is been saved. Once in a while is good to synch to make sure is been saved
