I'm really disappointed in the Samsung camera as far as Macro goes, it's really horrible. I'm not a huge camera person but come on! Not only that, it seems every picture has a orangeish tint to it. Not liking this. Can someone maybe give me some pointers possibly? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Picked up this one last week for .10 during the app sale. Great camera app with a lot of useful features.

+1 on camera zoom fx, also got it during the $.10 deal and love it

Thanks guys!
+1 on camera zoom fx...been using it for about 2 weeks now and it's awesome
+1 to Zoom as well. Lets you bind volume keys to anything and saved me having to flash a custom rom JUST to get the shutter key mod.
IMO, all the camera app is frustrating to use. none of the app is comparable to even the stock iphone camera app.
when you're holding the shutter to focus, once its already focus, you release to take the pic, but why does it need to refocus again?!
How is the video recording on camera zoom fx? I want a camera app that has good video recording. Thanks in advance.
Camera zoom fx does not support video recording. I still have to use the stock for video recording.
I use Camera Zoom FX for regular pics and ProCapture for panoramas.
I use vignette. Very happy with it.

I was looking for a good camera app for atrix. I think the stock gingerbread camera app from Motorola don't make the best use of 5MP Camera. I've used Camera Zoom FX but it doesn't cover the full screen. The photos are a bit small.
Which camera app do you reccomend for taking best pictures?
no app, get the droid 3 cam
How to get that? & How to install that? Any help?
what rom are you using?

Stock Gingerbread (2.3.4) from Motorola. Rooted.
Yes, the DROID 3 cam is the best, got it with the Darkside ROM.
Zoom Camera FX. Better than any other camera, including the droid 3 camera, imo. Smoother and longer zoom (13x), more flash modes (auto, on, and flashlight mode for video recording or to see what your pic will look like with flash before you take it), more scene modes, the ability to clap or shout and have a picture taken (as well as timed modes and steady shot mode), and better autofocus options make it hands-down the best camera app I've used, and I've tried all of them. That's not even taking into account all the awesome effects you can do with it. You can either shoot a pic and apply effects later, or set the effects and see them real-time before you take the pic.
*I am in no way affiliated with this app and have nothing to gain by recommending it.

This is true. Zoom Camera FX ! I use it since I got my ATRIX in March. Since than they always made a lot of nice improvements on the application, the gui for example. I use the paid version and I really can recommend it.
And I like Paper Camera for special effects.
And what is the best?
Miui, Droid 3, Camera FX...
Greatings

I was complaining about Camera Zoom FX because it wasn't taking pictures full of my screen's phone! But that was in the settings! I chose Widescreen & now everything is perfect! Very happy with Camera Zoom FX. It took photos so crisper, smoother & perfect!
I use the paid version & the latest version is 3.2.1
Do the apps recommended in this thread also include 720p video recording?

I like Camera Zoom FX, but is the quality really better than the MIUI camera? FX has more customization options, but MIUI camera--to me--seems to take a better picture. Thoughts?

I tried MIUI Camera & played it with 2 days. But Camera Zoom FX really take better pictures than MIUI. I've tried same picture with both of them. Camera Zoom FX takes crisper image than all of the others.
Besides, taking photos with volume down button is a huge plus point for me. Camera with physical button really enhance the possibility to take better pictures. Tap anywhere to capture is another very wanted feature by me.
Is there a way to find a flashable addon for the Droid 3 or MIUI camera? or at least an apk. Thanks
Also how do you set the save location for MIUI camera? Its already preloaded in MROM so Im currently using it.
Which app do you use for regular photo taking? I've tried MIUI Camera App, Stock Camera App & Camera Zoom FX. I was happy with Camera Zoom FX at first but then I found some bugs! Like it doesn't stop the shutter sound. Besides, when I took some pictures today with the auto focus many times the eyes become horrible! (just like ghost's eye! terrible! Can't be repaired with Red Eye Fix)
So what do you reccomend? Should I stick with the stock Camera App?
Thanks!
Stock app works great for me.
Add Paper Camera (at 10 cents) for cool effects and I am good.
A lot of ATRIX users like the DROID 3 camera app in some of the modded ROMS.

I use Camera360 as daily use. Light HDR is the best setting for normal daylight shootings.

Thanks for the suggestion! Installing Camera360.
Can someone upload the Droid3Camera.apk?
I've tried stock, MIUI, Zoom, and CM7. CM7 is my fav followed by stock. Stock has a panoramic camera which is nice.
I got the best results with droid3 camera app.
Some of my reading implies that there are third party camera apps that provide higher quality images than the Mororola app. I have played around with FX Camera Zoom and it seems to be OK. In this forum's august opinion, what is the best camera app for the highest quality images ?
The second question is: can the camera shutter button default be changed to default to another app?
I only use FxCamera and I love it. The only good/bad is manual upload to FB or Google, but I'm cool with that. The real reason I switched is the timer as I did not have many pictures of myself!
As for your second question, no clue! sorry!

I like procapture. To get the full 8mp youll need the paid version though. And no, the camera button mapping is built into the kernel itself. A third party app wont change it.

Camera Zoom FX I find the images and the options to be far superior to the stock app.
I use Camera Zoom FX and I use more Camera 360 Ultimate.

Camera 360 does have nice hdr options
Try Vignette as a camera app.
Try Autodesk's Pixlr o matic or Instagram for post processing.
Was wondering what camera app was the best functioning i.e best picture quality, least amount of lag, panoramic capable etc.
Droid RAZR M cruisin on 4.1.2 based CM10
Iphone4s or 5!
I have a Note II and although I have many cameras installed if I am going to take pictures of kids (the move fast and are very spontaneous) I use the stock camera.
Others I have installed include Camera Fv-5, Vignette, Pro HDR Camera, Cymera, and others that are built in to apps like the one for Instagram.

Download camera 365 app
Trying out all features of Neutrino V2.91 Rom
All seams great except camera is pretty basic quality.
HDR Camera app is alot better. Though has no zoom function.
Whats the best android camera app to take the best quality photos (indoors and outside) for the Atrix 4G?
Is it worth trying the blurcamera apk over the MUIU apk?
Idk about others but I use the stock GB camera app. Works great, simple settings and straight to the point. Start app and take pick. No long complicated settings or startup. Simple and fast

Camera 360. Enough said.
Thanks for the replies -
Do you have a link for a GB camera that will work with Neutrino?
I downloaded 3 and each starts installing and each fails..
Downloading 360 - seems to be as good as HDR but with ZOOM
[Camera 360 - HD,Effect,Zoom - SmartStar]
The GB camera is the stock camera app. I think it is already provided in the rom. Not sure since I haven used it in a while. Been on MROM a while now. Anyway if u like camera 360 you should stick with it. I have to admit it's a great camera app. I used to use it but I never has use for all the effects so I use the stock camera. FXcamera is also a good camera app..

Camera Apps
So far I've found these to be the best options
General - HDR Camera
Night - Night Camera (seems to work better in low light)
Panorama - ...?
