Hi Guys,
Using a Telus HTC Amaze stock.
Facebook for HTC Sense won't sync my contact data for contacts beyond K (about the first 500 contacts or so).
Any reason for this? I've tried everything next to a device wipe... It syncs everyone until K and then just says experiencing sync issues, try later. Been two days now.
Any ideas?

I figured out the twitter issue i was having,but still facebook wont sync for me.. anyone else?
I had issues with facebook syncing when I first got my vibrant, but at the time I had over 2000 friends on facebook. I pared that list down to about 1200 and the syncing started working without a problem.
Not sure if you're running into the same thing, but it seems to me almost like the sync process is timing out when you have a large number of facebook friends.
Yeah I have a little more than 300 friends so I don't think that's what is happening ha... Thanks for trying tho

Ok, I am going to feel really stupid, because I am sure there is a simple fix here.
I am noticing that my gmail accounts only seem to sync 1 per day and I cannot seem to force them to manually sync (through refresh or sync now) or increase the automatic sync frequency.
Any clue how to address this?

if you use Gmail native application - i didn't find any setting for Update Schedule. personal, i use Mail, and I setup 2 accounts (one gmail and one yahoo). and from settings I setup the Update schedule at every 15 minutes!
I may try that thanks. I am still hoping to find a solution using gmail directly

In detail, here is the solution, it was the cookie problem for me:

If you get the cookie problem, you just need to log out of your Gmail account and log
back in again, it allocates a new cookie. This happens sometimes on updating your
firmware image without wiping. The cookie is tied to some magic number in the phone
or firmware.

days to one of T-Mobile's new "project dark" plans that everyone is crazy about, they
may have forgotten to re-provision your account with the Android data feature (they
did with my account, and all ports but 80 were blocked).

everything that syncs in the background (Google Voice, Twidroid, Gmail, etc.) fails
to sync with cyanogenmod versions running BFS.
The problem is... how do you log out and relogon to Google again without factory wipe? Solution here:

Is anyone having calendar sync issues? I didn't have any issues with the stock rom but then i tried CM7 (10/28 nightly) and Serendipity and my calendar refuses to sync. I'm wondering if its a problem devs are getting from each other or if its just a flat out Google issues as of 10/29
Nope, zero issues for me on Serendipity. Have your tried clearing the data out of the calendar and starting over?

Yea I gave that a shot. It appears that there isn't a syncing issue per say. I can make new appointments on my phone and they sync without a problem. I can also make new appointments from the web browser on my computer and they sync fine. The issue is appointments that already in my calendar do not sync. It looks like i will have to clear it and rebuild it.
I knew there's a sync tool on HTC(HTC Sync), but really didn't need to use it daily. Are those stability issue or really useless tool that people get rid of it? Any suggestion?
No reply though! It seems no one admires this tool til now, I'm just curious why HTC and Google android can't build up the entire platform like iTunes. Or Google just doesn't wanna follow up what Apple done?

When I had my Evo, HTC Sync kept messing up my contacts birthdays and couldn't handle any variations in recurring appointments. I bought gSync and it is working flawlessly.
The latest version of HTC Sync is working well and without any problem. I am using it to sync my contacts and calendar with my PC. easy ans fast..
Has anyone noticed HTC Sync misses the last part of the information stored in a contact when it is bigger than a certain number of characters?
I know how to handle this in Active Sync, but not in HTC Sync.
Any idea?

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could help me. I'm not able to sync my Twitter friends like I always have been. I just got the Amaze two days ago. I came back to T-Mobile after leaving Verizon where I had the TB. I was wondering why every time I went to link my Contacts with their Twitter accounts, it kept saying no names. I Removed and Re-Added the Twitter for HTC Sense under the Sync Accounts on the Amaze thinking that would help but it doesn't. I literally just came across the reason. When in the Twitter HTC app, under the Settings where I go to "Friend's List", it says I'm NOT FOLLOWING ANYONE and that NOBODY IS FOLLOWING ME! I refreshed it, logged out and back in but still seeing that.
I don't understand why it's saying that when I'm obviously logged into my account and I'm responding and reading Tweets from my followers and vice-versa. I've never come across this problem before on any of my devices. I'd greatly appreciate and help. THANK YOU VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE!
